The Directorate-General for Personnel (DG PERS) is broadly responsible for managing the human resources of the European Parliament's Secretariat, so that it can provide the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) with the assistance they need to fulfil their mandate.
More specifically, DG PERS manages the different groups of staff throughout their career, in areas such as:
- Selection, recruitment, entry, training, career development;
- Management of rights and obligations, salary, allowances, pension rights;
- Protection and well-being at work;
- Strategies to improve and promote equality and diversity;
- Management of trainees;
- Internal communication within the institution.
The Equality, Inclusion and Diversity Unit (EIDU) contributes to devising, launching and monitoring the equality, inclusion and diversity policies within the EP Secretariat. It provides support and assistance to the Vice-President in charge of gender equality and diversity and the Chair of the High-Level Group on Gender Equality and Diversity, as well as the Appointing Authority, Committee for Equality of opportunity between men and women and diversity (COPEC) and other internal bodies. It organises training courses and awareness-raising events and liaises with the other EU institutions, international organisations and civil society.
YOUR TASKS
As a trainee, you will participate in or assist with:
- The organisation of awareness-raising events, namely Coming Out Day (11 October); International Day for the Abolition of Slavery (2 December); International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3 December); and International Women’s Day (8 March);
- Preparing draft reports, background notes and briefings on agenda items for meetings with MEPs from the Bureau's High-Level Group on Gender Equality and Diversity and other stakeholders, including civil society actors;
- Contributing to the implementation of the Report to the Bureau on diversities other than gender in the European Parliament's Secretariat;
- Contributing to the drafting of the yearly brochure ‘Women in the European Parliament’;
- The research of best practices in the field of equality and diversity in the universities, businesses and international organisations;
- Submitting policy proposals in order to create a more inclusive working environment;
- Providing overall support to the supervisor and to the other members of the unit, e.g. carrying out general administrative tasks, writing/sending letters and emails.
YOU AREIf you are:- A highly motivated, dynamic and collaborative person and can work autonomously and as part of a team;
- Fluent in English. A good command of French is an asset;
- Interested in equality and diversity issues, or even have work experience in a related domain;
- Well-informed about or have a background in any of the following: human resources, law, communication, human rights, statistics;

THE POSITION:Grants administrationResponsibilities include:- GOAs liaise with the finance team when coordinating contract/disbursement processes and due diligence and supports the tracking of disbursement progress and any issues that arise.
- Works with the Finance Department and Programme Officers to assess potential risks for grantee partners receiving our funding, and elaborate transfer and contracting procedures that are responsive to the threats experienced by the activists we work with.
- Tracks and monitors all grantee-partner administrative, contracting and reporting information.

Database Management and AdministrationResponsibilities include:- Supports the design and implementation of Salesforce database management solutions in collaboration with the IT team.
- Manages Salesforce templates and logs, monitors and tracks grantee partner administrative reporting on Salesforce with an eye towards ensuring integrity of data, confidentiality, harmonisation and quality control of sensitive data.
- Extracts appropriate grantee-partner data from Salesforce, and analyses reports as needed.
- Actively pursues opportunities to improve Salesforce and grant management operations by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS- Knowledge of social and environmental justice, and the rights of intersex people, trans people, girls and women.
- University level degree or equivalent administrative/organisational experience.
- Lived experience of resisting injustice and/or other forms of systemic oppression (including but not limited to sexism, racism, homoantagonism, trans-antagonism, classism and disablism, and their intersections).
- Knowledge of human rights, social justice, environmental justice and/or (funding) feminist movements.
- Experience with Salesforce, or a similar database management programme.
- Knowledge of grantmaking processes and procedures including project planning, evaluation, budgeting, workflow management, contracts management, grant monitoring and reporting, and document management.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Proven English proficiency in written and spoken communication and fluency in another of Mama Cash’s working languages (Spanish, French, Russian or Dutch). Priority will be given to candidates fluent in Spanish.
- Preferably based in the Global South and/or East and with experience working remotely across time-zones and in a multicultural environment. Priority will be given to candidates working from or with experience in the Americas and Caribbean.

The driving force behind this internship is BRAC UK’s commitment to providing a meaningful and mutually beneficial short-term role in international development. The internship is in memory of our colleague, Helen Turner, who was an advocate for inclusive entry into the sector of international development. The successful applicant will be treated like an employee and will be expected to approach the internship as a salaried member of the team. In this way, we hope to give our interns a strong platform upon which to build their careers. For the first half of the internship, a standard scope of work will be provided to successful applicants which will give them exposure to all working areas within the BRAC London office team; grants management, new business development, communications and finance, as well as engagement with the country teams in Bangladesh and across BRAC International. There will be a primary and ongoing focus on specific tasks with the partnerships team. Depending on the preferences of the successful applicant we will be able to tailor the scope of work for the second half of the internship to meet their interests.
Responsibilities
1. Donor Stewardship
● Supporting donor communication and relationship stewarding with BRAC UK partnerships officers.● The applicant will be able to gain insights into donor relationship management.
2. Business Development:
● Learning about fundraising and identifying relevant funding opportunities for BRAC’s global programmes (this work will be guided and involve the use of online search tools and databases)● Working with the new business team to qualify potential fundraising opportunities and donors (this work is critical and requires a good understanding of BRAC’s funding needs to identify opportunities that will be appropriate for BRAC).● Supporting pipeline management and assisting team members with database management.
3. Finance & Admin
● Assisting with financial reporting for the organisation● Providing admin support to some office processes
4. Communications and Advocacy
● Working with the Communications Officer on project communications plans and activities ● Supporting the Advocacy Advisor with external European advocacy activities.● Implementing internal communications activities, such as quarterly newsletters.
5. Other Duties
● Scheduling meetings, joining calls with partners and capturing notes and action items● Undertake such other tasks that the line manager and senior management team may request. BRAC UK is a small team and all staff are occasionally called upon to support the work of others

Key Responsibilities
- Actively engage in on-going self-reflection and continue to advance their knowledge and skills related to diversity, equity and inclusion

Fòs Feminista is an intersectional feminist organization centered around the sexual and reproductive rights and needs of women, girls, and gender-diverse people. Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the implementation of the project’s programmatic work to advance abortion access, connecting demedicalized and self-care strategies to social monitoring and advocacy for improved laws, policies, and regulations
• Lead political engagement of partners and other allies to connect and strengthen intersectional local and regional ecosystems and support movement building for abortion rights
• Manage the project portfolio of grantees, including by: mapping new partners; conducting due diligence; providing organizational accompaniment in developing workplans and budgets; conducting field visits; and ensuring execution and reporting in line with the project’s deliverables
• Manage the donor relationship, including by providing regular updates on activities, results, and changes in country context and through reporting

The REAL Centre, at the Faculty of Education, is looking to appoint a Research Associate focus on gender and education. The postholder will be responsible for supporting both qualitative and quantitative research related to gender and education. With delivery support from the Communications & Project Officers, and freelance support on specific activities, lead the following:● Develop and deliver our communications strategy; continuously striving to be culture-changing and centring the voice and experience of all women and people who bleed● Champion, strengthen and proactively manage our brand identity, amplifying and growing it through our channels
Strategic leadership of organisation
● As a senior member of the organisation, contribute to overall BGP strategy, taking an active part in the management and direction of BGP● Represent the organisation where needed and in the absence of the CEO. This will include speaking at events and on panels and media appearances.
What we’re looking for
● You’ll have the passion and dynamism to shape and deliver an ambitious, compelling and influential comms and campaigns strategy for us, rooted in your belief and support for menstrual equity● Experience of building campaign momentum and delivering results through both public mobilisation and public affairs work● You’ll be able to share with us your demonstrable experience(s) of increasing profile and supporter numbers through effective communications and campaigns that you’ve developed and delivered (both on and off line)● A driven, empathetic and passionate leader who will invest equally in internal and external relationships, truly recognising the value of collaborative and transparent working, especially in the setting of a small charity● You’ll have experience of building and bringing together a community of partners, pro-bono supporters, volunteers, individuals with lived experience.*When clicking on “Apply”, you will be redirected to the original job announcement and details
