Sexual & reproductive rights (SRHR) HealthABOUT CENTER FOR INTIMACY JUSTICECenter for Intimacy Justice (CIJ) is a nonprofit whose first cornerstone program area is working to change censorship and digital suppression of information about sexual and reproductive health and rights, and sexual wellness, for women and people of diverse genders. Today, content and ads supporting health of people with vulvas (e.g. for menopause, pelvic pain, abortion, contraception, endometriosis, and more) are frequently rejected by Big Tech platforms, misclassified as “adult” (considered sexual or inappropriate) or political. This censorship is applied in ways that are biased based on gender and other lenses – which blocks access to valuable and needed health information, and holds back women, nonbinary, and other entrepreneurs. CIJ works to change this – engaging in media, legal, and policy strategies, from building evidence through investigations, to advocacy and press campaigns, to informing government agencies, and more.

● Organizational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to CIJ’s team, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and goals. Supportand co-create a positive, empowering team culture.● Fundraising and Partnerships: Lead and expand CIJ’s fundraising efforts across major gifts, foundation grants, and individual giving, in collaboration with CIJ’s grant writing team member(s). Support relationships with donors and partners to create and renew support.● Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and manage staff and volunteers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.● Financial Oversight: Oversee CIJ’s financial health, including budget development, long-term planning, and financial reporting, in collaboration with team, bookkeepers and accountants.● Program Development: Drive the implementation of high-impact research and advocacy campaigns, ensuring CIJ’s work aligns with its mission and values.● Communications and Visibility: Serve as an ambassador for CIJ, elevating the organization’s profile through public speaking, donor engagement, and more.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
CIJ is seeking a skilled leader who is:● Experienced in Organizational Leadership: At least 5 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, advocacy, tech accountability, gender equity activism, or related fields. A background in sexual health, responsible technology, women’s health, and/or human rights is a plus.● Mission-Driven: Deeply committed to equity, inclusion, and diversity with a passion for addressing systemic injustice in sexual and reproductive health.● An Effective Fundraiser: Ideally a successful track record of securing funding from diverse sources, such as individual donors, foundations, corporate partners, and institutional partners.● Financially Strategic: Able to manage budgets, analyze financial trends, and develop strategies to organizational sustainability.● Empowering as a Collaborator: Skilled at building strong teams, fostering partnerships, and engaging diverse stakeholders in CIJ’s work.● A Fantastic Communicator: Exceptional written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire, inform, motivate, and persuade diverse audiences.*When clicking on “Apply”, you will be redirected to the original job announcement and details

Indigenous rights Generic (e.g. 'gender focal point' role Gender equality and Social inclusion (GESI)Description du projet ou contexte
Ghana’s cultural and creative sectors are undergoing significant transformation, driven by policy and market shifts. The government’s recent adoption of the revised National Cultural Policy and the “Play Ghana” agenda are positioning local content at the center of growth, while AfCFTA opens new regional trade opportunities for creative goods and services. Digital innovation, such as music and film streaming platforms, online art marketplaces, and virtual cultural showcases, is expanding global reach for Ghanaian creators. Green practices in fashion, crafts, and heritage preservation are also gaining traction. These trends offer considerable potential for entrepreneurial growth, but without intentional inclusion strategies, they risk further marginalizing women entrepreneurs.
To address these challenges, the Ghana Green & Digital PSD programme — co-funded by the EU, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and implemented by RVO, UNCDF, and Expertise France — aims to support the emergence of a more inclusive, greener, and digitalised private sector. One of its specific interventions involves identifying and supporting a select number of entrepreneurs from two key sectors: CCI and Health/Pharma in their digitalization as well as in their quest to make their venture greener and more sustainable.
This inception study is therefore a critical first step in delivering this support. It will map and analyse both formal and informal entrepreneurial (MSMEs, start-ups) ecosystem in Ghana, assess gaps and opportunities for sectoral specialisation, and recommend concrete pathways for targeted women entrepreneurs under the project. The findings will directly inform the operationalisation of project activities related to Output 3 of the programme’s logframe: “Build capacity of entrepreneurs to apply digital solutions that would enhance business growth of MSMEs.” And more especially, dive into a more suitable capacity building service offering targeted to women & minority groups entrepreneurs, for their own digital and sustainable transformation.
Profil souhaité· Consulting firm or Consultant with a minimum of 5 years' experience in women entrepreneurship (especially in the CCI sectors) analysis, capacity building, and innovation programme design in Sub-Saharan Africa or Ghana· Firms without prior experience in Ghana are eligible, provided they demonstrate a clear strategy for working in collaboration with Ghanaian actors (e.g. national consultants, partner organisations, or research institutions)· Demonstrated expertise in green and digital entrepreneurship· Proven track record in working with or assessing ESOs (e.g. incubators, accelerators, hubs)· Sectoral experience in Creative and Cultural Industries is strongly preferred· Experience conducting donor-funded diagnostics, capacity assessments, or feasibility studies· Fluency in English required; knowledge of French is a plus
Team Requirements:· 1 Lead expert (10+ years in entrepreneurship/innovation ecosystems)· 1 Junior analyst or research assistant for data collection and processing
