Gender-based violence (GBV)Context
The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) is an intergovernmental organization with 35 member states hailing from different continents around the world. International IDEA aims to support sustainable democracy worldwide, doing so, inter alia, by working with both new and long-established democracies to strengthen the institutions and culture of democracy and enhance the rule of law.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manages and coordinates the implementation and quality assurance of all programme activities as identified in the Description of Action (DoA), ensuring compliance with EU and International IDEA policies and procedures; Accountable for a timely and efficient implementation of the programme objectives within the budgetary frames;
- Leads, manages and provides strategic direction to the ESGBV programme; Oversees programme planning (including leading the development of project strategies, workplans, and other key project frameworks);

Education and Experience
- Post-graduate degree in law, human rights, international development, political science, gender/women’s studies, public policy or other related fields;
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience in designing and leading interventions to eliminate Violence Against Women, strengthen emergency response for survivors of Gender Based Violence, and promote gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in Africa and other developing country contexts;
- Relevant experience in programme management and implementation, and the provision of expert advice in the field of democracy and governance is essential;
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ management experience, including senior level positions, with direct supervision over complex, multi-functional teams; Experience with motivating and leading teams and solving problems;
- Excellent understanding of project management, monitoring and evaluation approaches and procedures is essential;
- Experience in planning, developing, and managing EU funded programmes, as well as familiarity with EU processes and systems;
- Excellent knowledge in written and oral English is required; Any other widely spoken language in an International IDEA priority region (Arabic, French, Spanish) and/or official EU language would be an asset.

BOARD POSITION INFORMATION:
TERMS
Board positions are for a two year term with the opportunity to nominate for three consecutive terms.
REMUNERATION
All voluntary Board positions are unpaid however Board Members will be supported to participate fully in activities. This includes reimbursement for costs associated with travel or care of dependents, adaptation of meetings and materials to ensure accessibility, and group learning and development opportunities. While Board meetings are currently held online via Zoom, travel for face-to-face meetings may occur on an as- needs basis and the associated travel cost would be considered a necessary expense.
BOARD MAKE-UP
The WHWBSW Board consists of women and gender diverse people from across the Barwon South West region. Office bearer positions include Board Chair, Deputy Chair, Treasurer, and Subcommittee Chair/s.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Board plays a critical role in governance, supporting the health of the organisation through diligent oversight of business and compliance performance, strategy, financial management, risk management, and governance systems. The Board upholds good governance principles and practice and has a commitment to growth and development.
BOARD MEMBER – ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of governance principles and practices.

RIVA is a 3.5-year programme that will empower women, girls, and excluded groups in Nepal to understand and claim their Rights individually and collectively, participate in Inclusive policymaking and implementation, and have a stronger Voice and Agency at both national and local levels to advance Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI).
About The Role:
This role will have a dual responsibility as the Deputy Team Leader (DTL) and GEDSI and Safeguarding Lead. The role is 80% (FTE).
The DTL will provide strategic technical leadership and oversight for the successful delivery of this high-profile FCDO initiative alongside the TL. The DTL will be the primary national technical expert for the programme, providing expert advice on rights-based, inclusive approaches and holding overall responsibility for GEDSI and Safeguarding within the programme. This dual role is crucial for ensuring transformative change by mainstreaming GEDSI and safeguarding across all programme activities, in line with RIVA’s GEDSI and Safeguarding strategies, while also sharing executive leadership responsibilities. The DTL will also be responsible for supporting the ongoing Gender, Inclusion, Power and Politics (GIPP) analysis of the programme, and using the findings to strategy test and adapt delivery as and when needed.
The DTL will also support the management of the TA Facility, including providing quality assurance on requests and TA delivery, and leading some of the TA themselves.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in gender studies, human rights, international development, social sciences, or a related field.
• Substantial experience (7+ years) in senior technical roles focused on gender equality, social inclusion, and rights-based approaches in international development contexts.
• Demonstrated leadership experience (4+ years) in programme management, preferably in FCDO-funded programmes or similar complex donor initiatives.
• Proven expertise in conducting GEDSI analysis and translating findings into programmatic strategies and actions.
• Strong understanding of the social, cultural, and political context in Nepal, particularly regarding gender dynamics and issues affecting marginalised communities.

Purpose of the Assignment
horizont3000 seeks to engage a specialized consultant to develop a cutting-edge resource for operationalizing gender-transformative approaches through dialogue. Objective of the Consultancy

Under general direction, the incumbent – a PhD-level researcher (or equivalent work experience and research) in the field of public health, social epidemiology, demography, or a related field – will perform innovative, complex research and evaluation analyses related to family planning and sexual / reproductive health issues in low- and middle-income countries across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Work will include analysis of large datasets (experience using DHS or PMA data strongly preferred), conducting literature reviews (from exploratory to systematic), and synthesizing results to generate actionable insights for development programming and investments.
The role requires technical understanding of family planning, family planning data and evidence, policy, and contexts in the geographic regions of interest, rooted in a gender-sensitive and agency-oriented lens. The incumbent will have excellent evaluative and analytical experience, strong data visualization and synthesis skills, and an ability to communicate complex results in a clear and compelling story to a variety of audiences. Incumbent must have experience working in fast-paced, collaborative team environments and the ability to produce high-quality products with rapid timelines. Knowledge and skills in one or several of the following are preferred: measurement and monitoring, strategy and consulting, geospatial mapping and modeling, and costing development programs.

About the role
The Orange Door (TOD) practitioners work collaboratively as part of an integrated team to deliver effective responses to victim survivors of family violence (including children and young people), as well as to adults who use family violence. Intersex rights LBTIQ+ women’s rights1. Background
The Queer Feminist Fund (QFF) is a sister project of the Asia Feminist LBQ Network (AFLN) that seeks to increase funding support for LGBTIQ+ movements in Asia. The founding of the QFF builds off of the findings and recommendations from AFLN's research report, "Where's The Support for LBQ+ Movements? Mapping Funding Landscapes in Asia and the Pacific for LBQ Movements" (report link, 5 Nov 2025). The QFF is newly registered in Canada, and is seeking one or more strategic planning consultants to help guide the development of its mission, vision, theory of transformation, and 3-year strategic plan as a startup organization.
2. Objectives and Scope of Work
The core objective is to finalize the guiding framework of the Queer Feminist Fund for its first year of operation in 2026, including its mission, vision, and theory of transformation. As part of the strategic plan development, the consultant is expected to support the QFF team in understanding, selecting, and designing feminist grantmaking mechanisms that are most appropriate for its funding objectives and regional context.
Since the QFF is still in its initial recruitment phase, additional staff and consultants may be added throughout the year. The QFF team will be composed of a mix of activists and philanthropic professionals. A secondary objective is to identify resources to train new QFF team members on grantmaking 101, as well as share best practices from the field.
The engagement is expected to be fully remote. The consultancy will be supervised by the Executive Director of the QFF.

ODIHR’s Democratization Department supports participating States in implementing OSCE human dimension commitments related to democratic institutions and political participation. ● Direct experience engaging with government, including preparing materials for and participating in meetings with parliamentarians, ministerial offices and senior officials.
● Strong knowledge of Canada’s international assistance, global health and gender equality policy landscape, including key institutions, commitments and decision making processes.
● Demonstrated ability to develop clear, credible and actionable policy briefs, statements, submissions and recommendations.
● Proven ability to manage complex issues, prioritize competing demands and deliver high quality work in fast moving environments.
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to political, governmental and sector audiences.
● Strong relationship building skills, with experience working collaboratively across coalitions, networks or multi stakeholder initiatives.
● High degree of discretion, sound judgment, tact and professionalism.
● Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while contributing effectively to a small, high performing team.
● A commitment to human rights, gender equality, diversity and social justice.
