Gender-based violence (GBV)General purpose of the position:
The GBV Specialist is responsible for defining and coordinating the implementation of GBV/protection strategy of the mission. This includes quality control, reporting, analysis, as well as mentoring, training and capacity strengthening of the staff and partners. The objective of this role is to provide technical guidance and advices ensuring the different activities of the programme are implemented according to internal guidelines and in line with international standards and principles.
Main Responsibilities:
– Contribute to the design of the protection/GBV strategy and provide technical support and assistance to the implementation of protection-related activities, in particular related to referrals, GBV prevention and response, and child protection (if relevant);
– Support project managers in the technical aspects of the implementation, ensuring cohesion and harmonization of protection activities and services across the different implementation sites within the mission;
– Provide technical support, advice and supervision to protection staff, including training to develop specialized skills in all protection-related topics identified, including the referral process; deliver trainings and workshops to non-protection staffs to build skills and knowledge of protection principles and enable them to mainstream protection in different sectors;
– Build protection capacity and provide training to national partners;
– Gather and analyse information related to available protection services;
– Ensure that protection data is collected, archived, processed, analysed and disseminated in an ethical manner, in accordance with internal data protection protocols and international standards;
– Ensure proper integration of gender, inclusion, disability and age into the protection program;
– Support the Project Managers in finalizing or ensuring protection mainstreaming, compliance with internal and international protection standards and appropriate technical language, both in the interventions and external reports;
– Undertake regular field visits to provide advice and technical supervision, and continuously monitor the progress of protection activities;
– Assess regularly protection needs and gaps of target populations in current and prospective areas of operations, periodically update the protection situation analysis and inform the programme teams accordingly; identify opportunities for new protection interventions and support assessments and development of new project proposals;
– Measure the impact of activities and identify best practices;
– In cooperation with the relevant staff, support the development of complaints mechanisms for beneficiaries and ensure that complaints are handled appropriately, and, as required, monitor the implementation of child protection (CP) and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) policies.
Required Professional Experience and Skills
– University degree in social science-related fields such as political science, international relations, international development, cooperation, sociology, psychology, human rights or similar subjects.– At least 3 years’ professional experience in technical protection roles in humanitarian contexts.
– Previous experience of working in complex emergency contexts;
– Demonstrated technical expertise in protection, including community-based protection, child protection, and gender-based violence;

Economic justice Gender-based violence (GBV)1. Background: The Republic of Somalia has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost for the Somalia Capacity Advancement, Livelihood and Entrepreneurship, through Digital Uplift Program (SCALED-UP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds from the SCALED-UP Project toward payments under the contract for Gender Based Violence consultant under Project Implementation Unit (PIU).
2. Responsibilities: The consultant will Assist in the implementation of the project risk mitigation instruments which include the GBV aspects of the Stakeholders Engagement Plan (SEP) and the Environmental and Social Management Framework; Operationalize a Grievance Redress Mechanism that is gender- and age-appropriate; responsive to existing formal and informal communication mechanisms within affected communities, fitted to receive and safely handle disclosures of GBV and SEA in alignment with survivor cantered principles; Conduct GBV/SEA-H risk assessments, that proactively identify GBV/SEA risks and outline mitigation measures to be verified during stakeholder and community engagement; Assess key contextual and project related risk factors that may contribute or give rise to sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) or other forms of harassment and GBV in the Project; Identify key service providers and the interventions they are carrying out in the fields of prevention and response services for survivors of GBV, focusing on critical health, psychological or psychosocial and related services, including identifying gaps in information and services; Lead the monitoring and reporting on GBV indicators and screening processes of project activities. Grow the online presence: Following, Reach & Interactions● Responsible for community engagement tasks such as replying to comments, interacting with other organizations’ content and audiences.● Develop and execute innovative tactics that will help grow our following and reach through a variety of content, including visual content like images, videos, infographics, audio (podcast) and blog posts that are compelling and shareable.● Monitor social media and other platforms for trending topics and content ideas that can be incorporated into our strategy.● Conduct monthly analytics to report on social media metrics to optimize results and help us track our progress towards our goals and determine best posting times, form, content, delivery, etc…● The ideal candidate must be able to track the online performance of the posts, knowing how to read analytics to move in the right direction with data and statistics to support his/her/their decision. You must know and effectively use analytics tools, and also establish objectives for our online presence to grow on a bi-monthly basis.● Must understand and effectively use social media scheduling tools such as Buffer and Metricool, as well as AI tools (AI for buffer).● Must be knowledgeable in SEO and keywords (priority), and know how to use AI tools related to SEO.● Must know and effectively use content ideas tools, including AI tools for design and developing captions.

Build an engaged community on social media platforms ready to campaign with us!● Responsible for scheduling and posting, cross-check website updates, posts and online visual identity.● Actively engage and respond to our social media community and generate thoughtful and relevant content that will drive engagement.● Know how to engage the online community using social media tools on all social media platforms.
Qualifications● Must have a degree in digital marketing, journalism or related field.● 1-2 years of experience in social media/digital marketing, preferably within the nonprofit, human rights, or social justice sector.● Proven experience in growing following and reach on at least 4-5 social media platforms.● Must know how to effectively use social media scheduling tools, analytics tools, design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Video-editing software, CANVA), WordPress, SEO tools, and content ideas tools and AI tools to design, create content (including SEO).● Any nationality with an excellent-to-bilingual level of English, with a valid TOEIC score of 650 is required.● The assistant must be living in Bangkok or be able to relocate to Thailand.*When clicking on “Apply”, you will be redirected to the original job announcement and details
