Role Deliverables:

The Role
Working in the Response, Policy and Evidence area of the organisation, the Instructional Designer will develop training and learning products to support capability in the specialist family violence and broader workforces.

About the role
The Practice Leader (Victim Survivor) is a practice leadership position in The Orange Door – Western Melbourne Area. The Practice Leader is responsible for providing practice leadership on risk assessment, risk management and planning for family violence and providing expert advice to The Orange Door workforce in relation to complex family violence cases. The Practice Leader will proactively build specialist evidence-based family violence knowledge and capability across The Orange Door workforce in line with The Orange Door Service Model and Integrated Practice Framework.

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a global healthcare provider and a leading advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. Led by a group of brave and determined women, IPPF was founded in 1952 at the Third International Conference on Family Planning.
INTRODUCTION AND CONTEXT
IPPF has multi-level political advocacy as a fundamental pillar of its 2028 Strategy. To this end, IPPF ACRO has identified various advocacy spaces to act, including the International AIDS Conference (IAC) in 2026. IAC is the world’s largest conference on HIV and AIDS, bringing together every two years thousands of researchers, activists, policymakers, people living with HIV, and global leaders.
The next International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2026) is scheduled to be held in Brazil from 26th to 31st of July, in Rio de Janeiro city at a particularly critical and high-visibility moment, marking the first time the conference has returned to Latin America in over a decade and highlighting the region's efforts and persistent challenges in ending the epidemic.
OBJECTIVES FOR THIS CONSULTANCY
The primary objective of this consultancy is to manage all operational and public-facing aspects of IPPF's participation at AIDS 2026, ensuring the delegation's effective functioning and guaranteeing high-impact visibility for IPPF’s work, key messages, and policy priorities across the conference platforms and media ecosystem in Brazil.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will be a highly organized, proactive, and experienced professional, ideally with previous experience managing large delegations at major international events, preferably within the global health or development sectors.
Essential Requirements:
- Organization and Planning: A high aptitude for meticulous planning, adept at managing multiple tasks concurrently, and proactive in anticipating potential unforeseen circumstances.
- Proven experience in complex international logistics, including large-scale travel, accommodation, and visa coordination.
- Demonstrated experience in event management, specifically organizing high-profile side events at international conferences.
- Client-Centric Approach: A dedicated focus on traveler satisfaction and well-being, providing comprehensive support throughout the entire process.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: The capacity to adjust seamlessly to diverse cultures, varying schedules, and unexpected situations and the ability to act swiftly and effectively in response to changes or unforeseen challenges.
- Strong background and experience in communications, media relations, and production management (e.g., coordinating the design/print of visibility materials).

- Master and/or a Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, social sciences, development studies, gender studies, or a related field.

Educational requirements:
A post graduate qualification i.e. a Master’s Degree in public health, law, education, development studies and/or business science qualifications. A PhD will be advantageous.
Experience required
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in a senior management position and in a similar size or larger organisation.
- Significant experience working to promote social equality and ideally in gender equality, preventing domestic and sexual violence and addressing HIV and AIDS, including preferably an understanding of work with men, and preferably in Southern Africa.
- Significant experience with operations, finances, HR, fundraising, donor liaison and strategy, as well as proposal development, is essential.
- Excellent writing skills in English and preferably, but not required, the ability to speak another SA language, as well as the ability to travel extensively.

The Women Human Rights Defenders International Coalition (WHRD-IC) is a transnational, intersectional feminist coalition of women human rights defenders, feminists, trans and non-binary activists and organisations, and their allies. Our mission is to deepen and sustain the collective power and resistance of WHRDs and their collective organising, across the intersections of movements, issues and regions.
Purpose of consultancy:
The WHRD-IC is seeking a researcher, group of researchers or research organisation to develop a new Global Report on the Situation of Women Human Rights Defenders.
The WHRDIC’s previous Global Report is available here. The new research should be intersectional, cross-issue, cross-regional and cross-movement, reflecting the broad understanding of “women human rights defenders” as women, trans and non-binary defenders engaged in any human rights work and activism, and people of all genders engaged and working on gender and sexuality.
The research will rely on a combination of hired expertise, contributions from WHRDIC members, and structured collaborative processes across the Coalition, its partners and allies.Objectives of the research:
The consultant will produce a global report that:
- Provides an overview of key trends, challenges, threats, and violations faced by WHRDs globally, across regions, identities, and movements.
- Develops a cross-regional, cross-issue, and cross-movement analysis of the human rights work of WHRDs, the evolving risks they face within the contexts of backlash and polycrisis, and the political environments shaping their struggles.
- Identifies new and emerging dynamics in the WHRD landscape while building on previous publications by WHRDIC and its members and foundational collective knowledge.
- Documents and amplifies stories of resistance, resilience, connection, and hope, with a focus on analysing effective feminist tactics and strategies used by WHRDs, as well as the impact and outcomes these strategies generate.

Overview

We work at the invitation of governments to support them and the private sector to create and sustain high-quality health systems.Position DescriptionThe Program Officer will support the integration of Gender Equality Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) throughout a comprehensive program of work in Papua New Guinea to strengthen the prevention, screening, and early management of diabetes and hypertension within primary health care systems.This position is part of a wider project to strengthen the provision of high quality and equitable prevention, screening and management services for diabetes and hypertension within primary health care systems in Pacific and Southeast Asian countries. The Assistant Program Officer will be supporting the building resilient and people-centred health systems for non-communicable disease prevention and control in Pacific and Southeast Asian countries (RESist-NCD) Program, which is funded by the Australian Government through the Partnerships for a Healthy Region Program.RESist-NCD is a consortium of teams from The George Institute for Global Health, the University of New South Wales and Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI). In Papua New Guinea, RESist-NCD partners with CHAI to deliver this work.This is a part-time role, requiring a commitment of 0.5 FTE (3 working days per week). The weekly schedule will be agreed upon with the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, social work, community development, gender mainstreaming, political science, business administration, project management or any related field.
- At least 3 years of practical demonstrated experience in GEDSI program coordination, capacity development, and/or training roles.
- Knowledge of PNG gender equality, disability and social inclusion issues, challenges, norms and transformative programming practice.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to high quality and in a timely manner.
