Gender-based violence (GBV) Gender in emergenciesThe VAWG/GBViE Technical Specialist will provide technical support and training to VOICE’s partners in Ukraine to ensure that quality GBV services are available and accessible to women and girls. - Support on the development of information, outreach, and awareness-raising to encourage help-seeking behavior of survivors
- Support the strengthening of inter-sectoral referral pathways to support GBV survivors including psychosocial support. Including supporting the establishing of peer support groups for adolescent girls and women
Qualifications and Competencies- Deep commitment to VOICE’s core values and ability to model those values in relationships and communities we serve
- Minimum 5 years’ experience (including unpaid professional experience) working with women’s rights organizations, VAWG / GBV practitioners or other similar, on prevention and response to VAWG

- Document learnings on gender equality and GBV contributing to project knowledge management, documentation, and learning.
- Ensure GBV risk mitigation and safe referrals of GBV survivors in all project activities, and as a knowledge area of all staff in Ethiopia. Ensure programming is aligned with GBV interagency minimum standards and work closely with regional and local TAs to ensure proper integration of GBV risk mitigation into DRM systems.
- Coordinate with DRM, early warning, and anticipatory action stakeholders at National and Subnational levels to drive forward gender sensitive and gender transformative programming, policies and advocacy.
- Support to mainstream GiE into the DRM action plans with every lead sector institution such as the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), the Ministry of Health (MoH), the Ministry of Water, Irrigation, and Electricity (MoWIE).
- Regularly coordinate and collaborate with national and international technical advisors to provide the most appropriate and updated technical inputs to the project to deliver the best services to the target populations.
- Provide technical inputs to reporting so that narrative reports are capturing the required technical outputs, which leads to high-quality reporting.
- Conduct regular field visits, including discussions with partners, and other critical stakeholders.
- Serve as a deployable staff member on GiE in new/escalating crises within Ethiopia to mainstream gender into humanitarian responses as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in providing technical assistance on gender equality into programming and research (e.g., through gender strategy implementation; leading program design and implementation, leading capacity strengthening trainings, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience conducting intersectional gender analyses, including study design, data collection, and analysis for US government donors.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills in English.
- Professional proficiency in MS Office suite.

The Press Secretary is responsible for developing and executing on a press strategy that proactively secures earned media for the organization, its candidates and elected officials. Climate & Environmental justiceThe consultant will:
1. Support in designing the agenda for and documenting insights from three virtual meetings of GJN member organizations and Namati staff, which will enable the group to develop common terminology, prioritize key issues, and generate a shared agenda for the in-person learning exchange.
2. Work closely with the Namati team and Network partners as they design the agenda and plan the sessions for the in-person learning exchange.
3. Participate in the Network learning exchange (4-5 days) and document key challenges, learnings, and case studies to be used in the toolkit. Work with videographers and photographers - to be procured by the Namati team - to capture content at the exchange as necessary, as well as curate an image and video bank from the work of Network members participating in the learning exchange.
4. Drawing from material gathered at the learning exchange, develop a toolkit that summarizes and documents the challenges encountered and best practices for gender transformative legal empowerment in pursuit of climate, land, and environmental justice work. The toolkit will likely include case studies of strong program work, templates and steps for implementation, and light framing analysis to justify the highlighted approaches. This will include both written and multimedia elements gathered from the weeklong learning exchange and follow-up contributions from selected participants.
5. Coordinate with Namati team members and graphic designers to design and format the toolkit.
6. Organize a webinar to launch the toolkit and share the experiences of Network members and partners who have contributed case studies to this resource.
