The Consortium normally hosts three hybrid events per semester, held on campus at the University of Massachusetts Boston and streamed over Zoom. Please visit our Events page to see descriptions, recordings, and/or transcriptions of past speaker events. Events Interns will provide both on-campus and remote Speaker Series assistance before, during, and after events throughout the semester.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Providing support in planning and executing Consortium events;
  • Conducting background research on speakers;
  • Transcribing recordings of speaker events;
  • Supporting the Consortium’s outreach efforts using social media, MailChimp, and on-campus publicity efforts;
  • Designing graphics for the Consortium’s events; and
  • Providing other administrative support related to the Speaker Series.
Hybrid Nature:
  • This will be a hybrid internship: some work can be done remotely, but other tasks require being on-campus at UMass Boston.
  • Interns would need to be able to come to campus for several hours on at least nine days per semester, with most of days grouped before and on event days.
