ABOUT AKILI DADA 
Akili Dada is an award-winning leadership incubator anchored on the belief that girls and young women CAN and DO LEAD. Our mission is to nurture transformational feminist leadership in girls and young women from underserved backgrounds to meet the urgent need for more African women in leadership. We journey alongside adolescent girls and young women, supporting them in creating and implementing solutions to their communities' challenges. We build their capacity to lead, applying a holistic approach that encompasses financial investment, intergenerational mentorship, movement-building, and advocacy through education and leadership. 

ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT 
Akili Dada seeks proposals from experienced and creative service providers who can be called upon when needed to for a period of 2 years. 

SCOPE OF WORK 
  • Provide professional photography and videography services when called upon, based on Akili Dada’s activity calendar and event requirements. 
  • Deliver high-quality and edited content (photos and/or videos) within agreed timelines. 
  • Collaborate with Akili Dada’s Communications team to ensure content produced aligns with brand guidelines and communication needs. 
  • Respect the privacy, dignity, and representation righ ts of all individuals, especially girls and young women, during documentation. Be willing and able to travel across various counties in Kenya for field-based assignments. 
  • Retain confidentiality of all documentation captured on behalf of Akili Dada, and release only with permission.  

QUALIFICATIONS 
The ideal service provider should have the following qualifications: 
  • 1.Demonstrated experience in photography and videography, particularly in the development or nonprofit sector. 
  • 2.Proven ability to tell compelling visual stories centered on community impact and lived experiences. 
  • 3.Ownership and use of professional-grade equipment and editing tools. 
  • 4.Excellent communication, creative direction, and time management skills. 
  • 5.Sensitivity and experience working with youth, women, and underserved communities.
