Deliverables:
• To guide and oversee an effective project management system and approach that provides for appropriate standardisation, supports the Secretariat and Member Associations in implementing best practices, and allows for clear responsibility, accountability, and performance of projects funded through primarily restricted and earmarked sources.
• To ensure effective systems and processes are in place to manage and monitor compliance with donor agreements and contracts. This will include pre-agreement assessments in relation to risk and ensuring appropriate levels of oversight and accountability are in place. On occasions, the same will be applied to complex unrestricted funding, where it is critical to incorporate.
• To facilitate the strengthening of programme integration and alignment with IPPF Strategy across the project portfolio.
• To coordinate a regular Project Review process at Secretariat level to ensure effective project portfolio oversight.
• To assist with donor reviews and evaluations.
• To develop, maintain and disseminate tools, guidelines, systems and processes to support IPPF’s successful delivery of projects.
• To ensure opportunities for knowledge sharing, learning, and reflection on improvements, both financially and programmatically, across projects to improve performance and restricted funding capacity.
Skills and experience:
• Excellent project management skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent and proven analytical skills - both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to influence and persuade others.

Primary Job Purpose
• Operational and Case Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of WGN’s Core Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy (ISVA) service, including managing referrals, waiting lists, and case allocation processes. Provide line and case management for the Core ISVA team, ensuring advocates receive the support needed for high-quality service delivery that exemplifies WGN’s ethos and values.
• Safeguarding and Case Management Support: Ensure all safeguarding matters are addressed in line with organisational policies and procedures. Oversee and provide continuous case management support for the ISVA team, coordinating regular case management meetings that include complex casework.
• Policy and Practice Development: Collaborate with the ISVA team and Head of Service to develop policies, procedures, and practices that maintain and enhance a safe, high-quality, empowering, and innovative service rooted in WGN’s intersectional framework and Holistic Empowerment Recovery (HER) Model.
• Data Collection and Reporting: Support the effective collection and presentation of data for funding reports, research, capturing unmet needs, and identifying trends and gaps in service provision.
• Service Initiatives and Partnerships: Collaborate with the Head of Service to develop service initiatives and partnerships that advance survivor-led institutional change, including within the criminal justice system.
Knowledge & Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing support to survivors of Gender Based Violence/ Sexual Violence or similar. (e.g. ISVA, IDVA, Case Worker, Support Worker).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing and leading staff (e.g. Team Manager/ Team Leader or Senior Role) and Operational Service Management including service development.
Completed or working towards completing recognised ISVA/ IDVA Manager Training.
Experience of working in partnership with a range of agencies such as Police, Social Care, Mental Health Teams, GPs and Educational Professionals.
Demonstrable experience removing barriers for women from diverse communities in disclosing sexual violence and accessing support.
Working knowledge of policy, legislation and services relevant to survivors of sexual violence, relating to the criminal justice system
Experience of conducting and assessing and managing risk, safety planning and following case management procedures using CRM systems.
Experience of organising and prioritising a complex workload, managing multiple work priorities.

OBJECTIVE OF THE JOBThe Senior Interim Bookkeeper is responsible for the completeness of the financial administration of Mama Cash. The Senior Bookkeeper is overseeing and optimizing the financial operations of Mama Cash. This role includes preparing complex financial transactions, regular payments and payments to grantee-partners. The Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for reconciling the financial administration with other systems of Mama Cash such as Salesforce, Raisers Edge and the bank and is actively communicating with other departments and sharing information. The role

Movement buildingThe African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) and its project partners seek independent evaluation consultants to evaluate the implementation of the KASA! Initiative which supports sexual violence prevention and advocacy interventions in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal and at regional levels. The evaluation will be used to inform the necessary adjustments or changes for the remainder of the initiative as well as to inform and improve the development of future programming, including grant-making support to our partners, advocacy strategy and stakeholder engagement. The evaluation is expected to be carried out in 3 months, from June to August 2025.
Scope of Work
In line with AWDF’s strategic priorities, AWDF is commissioning a mid-term review of the KASA! Initiative, which is just past halfway through the initial five-year contract. The programme evaluation will cover the implementation period from June 2021 to December 2024. KASA! The initiative has supported 45 women’s rights and feminist organisations (24 in Nigeria, 12 in Ghana and 9 in Senegal) since June 2021. The duration of the evaluation is 3 months. The deliverables include an inception report, data collection, analysis and reporting, two validation workshops and final delivery of the evaluation report including a slide set and infographic.
Qualifications and Experience Required
The call is open to individuals or teams of consultants led by women or gender-diverse persons in Africa, preferably Ghana, Nigeria and/or Senegal, with the following required skills and experience:
- Hold a graduate degree in Social Sciences or related studies
- Have at least 8 to 10 years of work in the Global South towards promoting and protecting human rights and gender/social justice
- Demonstrated experience working in the area of sexual violence in Senegal, Ghana and Nigeria and/or across Africa
- Demonstrated experience in designing and carrying out evaluations for large multi-actor programmes, using Feminist MEL and related evaluation approaches
- Experience in evaluating similar programmes in the three focus countries and/or regions in the Global South
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and French
- English and French writing skills and report-writing experience.
- Commitment to AWDF’s values of feminist leadership, accountability, diversity, respect and solidarity
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible attitude

Founded in 1984 and based in Brussels, IGLYO is the largest member-based network in the world dedicated to LGBTQI youth and their rights. Today, we gather over 125 Member Organisations in more than 40 Council of Europe countries, as well as countless friends and partners worldwide. Our work focuses on the protection, empowerment, and freedom of LGBTQI young people between 18-30 years old.
Background
LGBTQI youth continue to face significant barriers to full and equitable participation in sports, and sports environments often remain exclusionary and unsafe spaces for LGBTQI young people. Marginalisation, homophobia, and transphobia are still prevalent in many sports settings, discouraging participation and limiting access to opportunities for personal and professional development. LGBTQI young people come from diverse backgrounds, with their experiences shaped by intersecting factors such as gender identity, race, disability, and socioeconomic status. IGLYO recognises the compounded barriers that LGBTQI youth face in sports environments and structures due to homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, class, and other forms of discrimination.
To address these challenges, IGLYO is commissioning a Qualitative Research Study on LGBTQI Inclusion in Sports to document LGBTQI young people’s experiences in sports (including formal and non-formal education). This research will explore key themes such as discrimination, access to safe and affirming sports environments (including in formal and non-formal education), the impact of exclusionary policies, and best practices for fostering inclusion. The findings will contribute to ongoing advocacy efforts at the European level, informing policy discussions on LGBTQI inclusion in sports and supporting the development of more inclusive and equitable sports environments and structures.
Research Goals
This qualitative research study aims to assess the barriers LGBTQI youth encounter in school and community-based sports settings while identifying pathways towards safer, more inclusive and affirming environments.
The consultant will:
- Assess the needs, barriers and discrimination experienced by LGBTQI youth related to inclusion/exclusion in sports.
- Identifying best practices for fostering LGBTQI inclusion in sports that could serve as inspiration for youth organisations, sports and educational institutions, and policymakers.
- Provide evidence-based recommendations in coordination with IGLYO.
- Develop a comprehensive 20-page narrative report.
- Meet with the IGLYO Policy and Research team and other relevant stakeholders to guide the research process and ensure alignment with advocacy efforts.
Eligibility Criteria
The consultant should demonstrate that they fulfil the following criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in conducting qualitative data collection and analysis with LGBTQI communities and/or other marginalised groups, particularly in the context of sports, youth, or inclusion.
- Strong understanding of the barriers and needs of LGBTQI youth in sports, with a proven record of incorporating an intersectional approach in research methods.
- Familiarity with relevant policy frameworks related to LGBTQI inclusion, youth empowerment, and sports policies at the national and European levels.
- Proven experience in storytelling-based qualitative research, including narrative analysis and in-depth interviewing techniques.

MasculinitiesPolitics is traditionally a man's world. Despite much progress in recent years, most politicians are still men. What knowledge we have about gender and inequality in politics is mainly based on counting women and men. In contrast, we do not well understand the underlying gendered norms about behavior that is considered inappropriate and appropriate: political masculinities. This project’s research reveals how political masculinities change or persist among voters, elected politicians, leaders, and aspirants. The research results will bring much-needed nuance and depth to a currently polarized but ultimately simplistic debate about gendered inequality in politics. As PhD-student you will study the following research question:
- How are masculinities socialized in political parties?
This study teases out how youth wings view present-day masculinities in society, and it examines their evaluation and their expectations of masculinities by the party leadership and the party. How do youth wings try to challenge or reproduce these masculinities within the youth wing and the party?
The primary method of data collection are focus groups. They will be complemented by participant observation and organizational ethnography. Focus groups are well-suited for studying aspirants as they offer less threatening and less hierarchical settings than individual interviews or survey research. This is particularly useful when studying sensitive issues. Based on open-ended focus group protocols, participants will, in conversation with each other, reflect on the research questions, where and why they agree, and where and why they do not. The project will aim for 40 focus group interviews with six to eight members of youth wings (men and women) that are part of political parties across the political spectrum, including progressive, conservative and populist right wing parties and newer identity-based parties. The focus group interviews, which will last approximately two hours, will be held in places that are safe and easy to reach for participants, be it online or offline.Participant observation is complementary to focus groups and will facilitate access and trust. The PhD-candidate will be ‘hanging around’ in areas where the youth wings or their members meet (congresses, debates, activities, online forums) until the data collection phase is completed. The PhD candidate will conduct organizational ethnography to understand how masculinities are institutionalized within youth wings. The protocol for the organizational ethnography will build on insights from the (ongoing) participant observation and focus groups. About the internship
You would be part of the policy, advocacy & press unit, which develops global reports, policies and recommendations based on evidence from our programme countries. Experience in the building of information materials for community activists, and an ability to design and facilitate political and popular/feminist formation work is critical. They should be able to evidence their contributions to building networks and platforms of convergence with a wide range of allies and partners and should have between 2-3 years’ experience in campaigns building and advocacy. Purpose and Objectives of this Consultancy
This consultancy seeks a skilled facilitator(s) to co-create and deliver one or more of capacity-building training listed below, for AWDF grantee organizations across Africa, taking place between April and June 2025. The facilitator will develop training modules based on the findings of a participatory needs assessment, ensuring relevance and responsiveness. Critically, the facilitator will support grantees in developing tailored, needs-based strategies.

Training Objectives
1. Feminist Resource Mobilization: To equip participants with feminist-aligned resource mobilization strategies, emphasizing collaboration, ethical fundraising, and diversified income streams, moving beyond traditional grant dependence.
2. Communication, Advocacy, and Digital Security: To enhance participants' ability to communicate feminist narratives effectively, advocate for gender equality, and navigate the digital landscape safely and responsibly, including addressing online harassment and ensuring data protection.
3. Research & Advocacy Skills Building Teach-In Session: To provide participants with foundational research and advocacy skills to support their work in promoting social justice and gender equality.
Scope of Work
In collaboration with AWDF’s Agency and Resilience Programme Specialist and Programme Manager, the facilitator will:
1. Co-design and deliver interactive, participatory five-day capacity-building workshops for the chosen thematic area.
2. Design the workshop flow and advise AWDF on any additional key content facilitators to include in the workshop programme e.g. keynote speakers, artists etc
3. Conduct a participatory needs assessment with registered participants to inform training structure and content.
4. Collaborate with the interpretation team to ensure consistency and cultural sensitivity of training modules and materials in English and French.
5. Support each participating organization in developing a one-year Implementation document. 6. Provide participants with relevant resources for continued learning and development.
Content diversity: We recognise that the content areas for the capacity initiatives are diverse and it might be difficult to acquire one consultancy team that addresses all areas. Sexual & reproductive rights (SRHR) HealthThe International Planned Parenthood South Asia Region (IPPF SAR) works in eight south Asian countries through country partners. In Afghanistan, we work with the Afghan Family Guidance Association (AFGA).The Family Health House (FHH) model has been implemented in Afghanistan as part of an effort to improve the accessibility and quality of primary health care services for rural and underserved communities.
Deliverables
The main deliverables of the consultancy are as follows:
- An inception report
- A detailed Protocol, which includes the study design, consent/assent forms, tools/guides subject to comments and inputs from both the AFGA and SARO teams, the contractor will be responsible for developing the protocol and other related documents to make a successful implementation.
- Suitable data collection tool/s for collecting both quantitative and qualitative data based on the approved study design. The finalisation of these tools will be subject to comments and inputs from both the AFGA and SARO teams.
- Data Collection needs to be conducted by in-country investigators/moderators because of the language. Consult will also be responsible for training of in-country investigators/moderators and close coordination with them for data collection.
- Recruitment plan of study respondents and details of participants who meet the inclusion criteria, collated, and recorded, along with unique identifiers allocated.
- Data folder
- Data Synthesis and analysis which will be reviewed by the SARO and AFGA teams as well as a thematic analysis structure and a coding matrix for the analysis of qualitative data. As well as quantitative data cleaning, coding, synthesis of results, analysis. Consultation with SARO and AFGA on preliminary analysis.
- Final report capturing all the details, including key findings and recommendations from the study.
Expertise/Skills
The consultant/company should have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of current evaluation theory and practiceCurrent evaluation theory and practice
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in conducting evaluations (preferably in development projects) and a proven record delivering professional results.
- The lead consultant (individual or company) should have at least a post-graduate degree (M.Sc., M.A.) in the Social Sciences

NEF provides the legal structure for the donor collaborative and serves as the employer. The Alliance is steered by the member foundations, who also guide its direction. NEF implements the Alliance’s strategy through its dedicated programme team.The current team is composed of a Senior Programme Manager, a Senior Communication & Learning Manager, and a Program Officer.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Programme Assistant will support the Alliance team in their daily operations. They will work, under the supervision of the Program Officer. More specifically, they will perform the following tasks (non-exhaustive list):
Events support
- Help schedule and organise logistics of online and in-person meetings, such as steering committee meetings, grantee convenings, grantee webinars, team retreats: Find and liaise with service providers: venues, catering, accommodation; Manage meeting registration process; Gather and process all reimbursement requests from meeting participants
- Help prepare meeting documents (practical information, lay-out, formatting, and printing of meeting materials, etc) and materials
Administrative and financial support
- Collect requests for payments, checking that the information is complete, and liaising with NEF to ensure timely processing.
- Take minutes during meetings and events.
- Help draft the contractual agreements with grantees, donors and consultants, and liaise with NEF to manage signature, filling, reporting, request for payments and other relevant updates in Optimy (our online grants management system).
Communications support
- Manage the info email address, responding to or re-directing enquiries in a timely fashion.
- Draft LinkedIn posts and newsletters when needed.
- Attend events and read reports relating to the work of the Alliance and provide summaries for the team.
And any other tasks that might be required from them.
REQUIREMENTS
- Pursuing/holding a degree in gender studies, international relations, political sciences, law, social sciences or related field.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Be adaptable and flexible as part of a small and fast-changing organisation.
- Good at building and maintaining productive working relationships with people from a wide diversity of backgrounds, both in-person and online.
- Knowledge or strong interest in gender equality in Europe.
- Committed to the Alliance vision and mission, NEF values and to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Previous experience in a non-profit organisation is a big asset.
