- Prepare, participate in and follow up to regular coordination meetings of the International Gender Champions, the Generation Equality Forum, and the Women and Youth in Democracy Initiative (WYDE)
- Support up to 6 activities and initiatives involving multiple partners quarterly
- Contribute to quarterly reports on activities and achievements
- Liaise with parliaments, carry out surveys and prepare IPU reports to the 92nd, 93rd and 94th sessions of the CEDAW Committee
- Organize up to 2 webinars on CEDAW for parliaments under review
- Facilitate parliamentary input to upcoming CEDAW General Recommendation 41 on stereotypes
- Support the preparation and proceedings of meetings and side events at the:
- 152nd and 153rd IPU Assemblies,
- the 2026 parliamentary meeting and side events at the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), and
- 2026 Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians
- Support at least 3 parliaments in promoting or implementing the IPU Campaign Achieving gender equality, action by action
- Support a minimum of 6 outreach initiatives to men and international leaders through IPU activities
- Developing and implementing the campaign’s monitoring, evaluation, and reporting frameworks for 2026
- Propose frameworks and tools for men’s engagement in gender equality
- Organize a minimum of 6 consultations with MPs and/or experts and partners
- Support the production, launch and dissemination of at least one IPU publication
Required experience and qualifications- University degree in political science, international relations, or law;
- At least five years of experience in work related to gender equality and/or women’s rights

About the role
The Practice Leader (Victim Survivor) is a practice leadership position in The Orange Door – Western Melbourne Area. The Practice Leader is responsible for providing practice leadership on risk assessment, risk management and planning for family violence and providing expert advice to The Orange Door workforce in relation to complex family violence cases. The Practice Leader will proactively build specialist evidence-based family violence knowledge and capability across The Orange Door workforce in line with The Orange Door Service Model and Integrated Practice Framework.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing specialist secondary case consultation and technical input on complex family violence cases.
- Providing specialist family violence expertise to the process of intake and assessment of responses to children’s safety and wellbeing.

Key Activities
- Analysis of legal and policy frameworks and their enforcements: Conduct a comprehensive review of Bangladesh’s GBVH-related legal and policy frameworks—including the 2009 High Court Guidelines, the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006, the Labour Ordinance 2025, and the women's rights reform commission report. Assess gaps in the laws themselves, weaknesses in enforcement and implementation, challenges in access to remedy, and opportunities for alignment with international standards such as ILO Convention 190.
- Review of stakeholder recommendations: Analyse reports and recommendations from women’s rights organizations, trade unions, and national and international civil society actors to understand ongoing gaps, progress made, and practical opportunities to strengthen GBVH prevention, protection, redress, and accountability across the garment sector in alignment with ILO C190.
- Comparative analysis of global models: Review relevant international initiatives—such as the Dindigul Agreement (India), the Lesotho Agreement and the Java Agreement—to draw lessons from rights-based, worker-led approaches. Identify elements that can inform feasible, scalable, and context-appropriate legal, policy, and enforcement strategies for Bangladesh.
- Provide recommendations on legal/policy reforms and enforcement: Based on the analysis, develop clear, actionable, context appropriate recommendations for strengthening Bangladesh’s legal and policy frameworks on GBVH, as well as improving enforcement, accountability, and access to remedy. Recommendations should prioritize worker-centred, survivor-sensitive, and rights-based approaches.

International Medical Corps (IMC) is implementing a comprehensive Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response program in Ukraine since 2014. The consultant will support the development of a contextualized Male Engagement Strategy for GBV prevention in Ukraine.
3. SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
• Work closely with GBV Coordinator/GBV Manager/GBV Technical Advisor, as relevant, to achieve the goals of the consultancy.
• Coordinate with partner agencies, as relevant, to organize roundtable, training and support capacity strengthening needs.
• Ensure adherence to IMC’s GBV Minimum Standards, as well as relevant inter-agency guidelines and standards
• Coordinate with government focal points, local partners, and women’s networks to develop appropriate GBV prevention strategies and approaches
• Conduct a rapid desk review of global and regional practices on engaging men and boys for GBV prevention, with focus on conflict and post-conflict settings.
• Facilitate at least one roundtable discussion with national/local actors on male engagement in Ukraine, guiding evidence-based dialogue and contextual adaptation.
• Provide technical inputs for a consecutive roundtable focused on engaging veterans in social and gender norms change.• Ensure consideration of relevant Ukrainian legislation, particularly regulations governing work with adolescents, including age-specific restrictions, consent requirements, and necessary approvals for engagement in awareness-raising or educational activities.
• Develop and deliver training modules for service providers specifically with those engaged within the scope of the project on male engagement approaches, adapted to the Ukrainian context.
• Lead the drafting of a contextualized Male Engagement Strategy for GBV Prevention in Ukraine, including key recommendations for piloting in communities.

The Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA) is a civil society coalition bringing together grassroots women’s rights organizations from Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Somaliland, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, and Uganda.
OBJECTIVES OF THE CONSULTANCY
This consultancy aims to produce research product which explores any emerging topic reflecting on a specific manner in which current gender backlash or the anti-rights movement against women and girls is manifesting and impacting women and girls. This could be focused on a specific country in the GHoA or on the region as a whole. In this regard, the possible research product may look at themes related to culture, religion, the regression of legal or institutional protections for women and girls, the interference of foreign actors, the reduced funding for women rights organizations, or any other emerging and novel topic of choice. From the theme and topic selected, the research product must examine the lived experiences of women and girls impacted and best practices in how feminist, women’s rights activists, organizations and coalitions have taken a stand against the form of backlash/ the anti-rights movement. The research product should also map out recommendations and tangible advocacy strategies in lobbying against the specific manifestation of gender backlash or the anti-gender movement examined, towards overall better gender equality outcomes for women and girls. Importantly, the researcher selected will have the flexibility to develop any research product of choice, whether it is a policy paper, a zine, infographics, a documentary or any other form of storytelling using different forms of multi-media.
KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in conducting research on the anti-gender rights movement and gender backlash in any country in the GHoA or regionally. Preference will be given to emerging or early career feminist researchers between the ages of 18 – 35 years old.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the socio-economic, political and legal context of the country selected to research on/ the GHoA region, particularly the dynamics of violence and its impact on women and girls. Familiarity with the cultural nuances and gender norms prevalent is crucial for contextualizing research product findings accurately.
- Ability to conduct gender-sensitive analysis and intersectional assessments, considering factors such as age, ethnicity, socio-economic status, and disability. The candidate should be adept at integrating a gender perspective into research product design, data collection, and analysis to uncover gender disparities and vulnerabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex research findings clearly and concisely. Proficiency in presentation skills is necessary for effectively communicating research product outcomes to diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, practitioners, and community members.

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a global healthcare provider and a leading advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. INTRODUCTION AND CONTEXT
IPPF has multi-level political advocacy as a fundamental pillar of its 2028 Strategy. To this end, IPPF ACRO has identified various advocacy spaces to act, including the International AIDS Conference (IAC) in 2026. IAC is the world’s largest conference on HIV and AIDS, bringing together every two years thousands of researchers, activists, policymakers, people living with HIV, and global leaders.
The next International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2026) is scheduled to be held in Brazil from 26th to 31st of July, in Rio de Janeiro city at a particularly critical and high-visibility moment, marking the first time the conference has returned to Latin America in over a decade and highlighting the region's efforts and persistent challenges in ending the epidemic.
OBJECTIVES FOR THIS CONSULTANCY
The primary objective of this consultancy is to manage all operational and public-facing aspects of IPPF's participation at AIDS 2026, ensuring the delegation's effective functioning and guaranteeing high-impact visibility for IPPF’s work, key messages, and policy priorities across the conference platforms and media ecosystem in Brazil.

Gender equality and Social inclusion (GESI)CONTEXT
The African Union Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR), a specialized technical office of the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy and Sustainable Environment (DARBE) of the African Union Commission (AUC), is mandated to support and coordinate the utilization of livestock, fisheries, aquaculture and wildlife as resources for both human wellbeing and economic development in the Member States of the African Union. The Vision of the AU-IBAR Strategic Plan 2024-2028 is an Africa in which animal resources contribute significantly to integration, prosperity and peace. AU-IBAR’s intervention in the fisheries and aquaculture sector is guided by the Policy Framework and Reform Strategy for fisheries and aquaculture in Africa (PFRS) which is aimed at improving governance of the sector for increased sustainable contribution to food security, livelihoods and wealth creation. Also within the framework of the African Union 2063, the Africa Blue Economy Strategy envisioned an inclusive and sustainable blue economy that significantly contributes to Africa’s transformation and growth.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Project Team Leader at AU-IBAR, the incumbent will undertake the following targeted areas of work so as to achieve the objectives of the Project ‘Conserving Aquatic Biodiversity in African Blue Economy’:
1. Contribute to the identification and mainstreaming of gender related issues across the project’s activities relevant to aquatic biodiversity and environmental management.
2. Participate in analysis of, from a gender perspective, existing national, regional and local policies, strategies and action plans and elaborate on the added value of gender mainstreaming into national and regional conservation policies.
3. Support the operationalization of the AU endorsed continental strategy for gender mainstreaming in aquatic biodiversity conservation and environmental management in the continent.
4. Contribute to the implementation of the Continental strategy on Nature-based solutions for sustainable aquatic biodiversity conservation, and environment management - ensuring effective community, private sector, women and youth, participation in climate change mitigation efforts, conserving and restoring aquatic ecosystems and fish stocks.
5. Strengthen inclusive Regional Blue Value Chains in selected fisheries and aquaculture undertaken: including actors, enablers, drivers and develop mechanisms for enhancing effective private sector, women and youth engagement.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
i. A minimum of 5 years of combined relevant work experience in development-oriented institutions, NGOs, UN, AU member states or related international development aid projects in Africa.
ii. A Minimum of 3 years of experience in at least one of the sectors (e.g., gender and climate change mitigation programmes; conservation of aquatic ecosystems, integrating gender considerations and women’s empowerment in environmental programming).

The Pacific Community (SPC) is the principal scientific and technical organisation in the Pacific region, supporting development since 1947. We are an international development organisation owned and governed by our 27 country and territory members. The key responsibilities of the role include:
Technical Advice and System Management
- Develop a workplan to implement GBV/DV actions across SPC through the HR Division and Senior Leadership Team – based on the Women in Leadership Program (WIL) 2022 Leadership Audit Recommendations, in collaboration with the WIL Team.
- In collaboration with Legal and Human Resources, lead implementation of the SPC Manual of Staff Policies, Chapter XI, Work Culture and Behaviours, relating to addressing DV, using the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or similar endorsed framework/guidance notes.
- Develop a case management system to support queries and issues.
- Supports SPC Divisions to train and onboard Wellbeing Focal Points to implement GBV/DV response and protection activities.
Capacity Building – Prevention, Response and Advocacy
- Develop and implement a capacity building development plan for SPC staff, Wellbeing Focal Points, Management and Senior Leadership Team to prevent and respond to GBV/DV internally.
- Design, develop and implement a SPC Respect at Work Program.
- Establish a Directory of GBV/DV Services and referral pathways are current for each SPC office.
Learning Management Schedule
- Coordinate with HRSD and the Women in Leadership Programme to develop and implement gender and GBV/DV training materials for SPC staff, Wellbeing Focal Points, Management and Senior Leadership Team including beginner and refresher curriculums.
- Implement the rollout of mandatory self-paced courses which includes GBV/DV, Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection, Anti-Bullying, Anti-Harassment and Discrimination.
People Management, HR Reporting and Analysis
- Report to the Human Resources Director and conducts internal advocacy to highlight emerging organisational issues related to DV.
- Set up safe, secure, and confidential anonymised (non-identifying) data collection on DV and gender related issues within SPC.

UNDP has been supporting more than 60 parliaments globally to strengthen parliament as an institution of good governance, inclusive development and public accountability. In the Pacific, the UNDP Pacific Office (PO) has been supporting Pacific Parliaments to fulfil the core functions of parliaments of law-making, oversight and representation. The PO has supported Pacific Parliaments to reform the parliamentary professional service, provided trainings and activities to strengthen parliamentary library and research services, provided policy support with a focus on SDG advocacy, supported the production of Budget Briefs for members to assist with informed debates on the national budgets, increased opportunities for citizens and CSO engagement in the work of parliament, built capacities for members and staff on substantive and procedural issues as well as skills such as public speaking, dealing with the media, debating, and codes of conduct, supported the development for institutional frameworks to ensure that parliaments have sufficient power and independence to contribute to democratic development.
The IPU collaborates with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) both nationally and globally for over 40 years. In late 2025, the IPU and UNDP have entered into a cooperation agreement to support parliaments in Pacific countries. Within this programme the IPU will support two parliaments to undertake Gender sensitivity self-assessments.
Duties and responsibilities of the consultants:
Under the overall supervision of the Manager, Technical Cooperation Programme, IPU and working with four pacific parliaments, the Consultant will perform the following functions:
- Support implementation of phases 1 and 2 of the assessment process as outlined in Annex 1.
- Provide technical assistance an advice to the Steering Committee
- Where required provide training/coaching to the Pacific Parliament MPs and staff to increase their capacity to undertake the assement
- In-person support to facilitate carrying out of the assesment through the provision of advice, support and comparative experience.
Educational Qualifications (Minimum):
- University degree in social science, political science or law; specialization in gender studies an asset. An advanced degree is highly desirable.

Generic (e.g. 'gender focal point' role Gender equality and Social inclusion (GESI)About the projectJ-PAL South Asia is collaborating with the Punjab Police to evaluate efforts to support female officers and institutionalize gender-sensitive practices within the police department. The focus of the study is Punjab Police’s Mahila Mitra (PPMM) program, which created help-desks for women and assigned female officers to staff those desks. The research project examines efforts to “mainstream” the PPMM program within the day-to-day work of the police station through different approaches to training. Using a mixed-methods approach (combining a randomized controlled trial and qualitative research), the study will evaluate the impact of different training modalities (female officers only; female and male officers in different settings; or female and male officers together) on the experiences and job satisfaction of female officers; the perception of female officers within the police; the implementation of the PPPM program, and police responsiveness to women.
Job descriptionQualitative research, including observations of and interviews with PPMM officers, will be integrated in all stages of the study, accompanying and complementing the RCT. The Research Associate’s role requires (a) working closely with the Principal Investigators on designing qualitative instruments, piloting them, and using them to conduct in-depth interviews with frontline officers; (b) qualitative analysis and thematic coding of fieldnotes; and (c) working closely with the stakeholders on overseeing the development of the intervention training materials for a full-scale RCT.The Research Associate will be based in Punjab, working closely with the team of researchers and government counterparts to ensure the successful implementation of both the research and stakeholder engagement components of the project.
Key responsibilitiesQualitative research:- Collaborate in design and lead implementation of qualitative research activities in police stations, including ethnographic observations, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions.
- Work closely with the PIs and the research manager to refine research instruments and protocols.
- Ensure accurate transcription, translation, and coding of qualitative data for analysis.
- Contribute to qualitative data analysis and synthesis of findings in coordination with PIs.
- Draft internal memos, presentations, and sections of reports for both research and policy audiences.
- Provide inputs into training material design and dissemination documents based on field insights.
- Report to the PIs and the RM on all of the above-mentioned activities and any other work assigned.
Required qualifications- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in public policy, political science, sociology, development studies, criminology, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in field research, preferably with qualitative methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with government stakeholders.
- Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in Punjabi is required, Hindi - desired.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in challenging field environments.
