Gender-based violence (GBV)Context
The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) is an intergovernmental organization with 35 member states hailing from different continents around the world. International IDEA aims to support sustainable democracy worldwide, doing so, inter alia, by working with both new and long-established democracies to strengthen the institutions and culture of democracy and enhance the rule of law.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manages and coordinates the implementation and quality assurance of all programme activities as identified in the Description of Action (DoA), ensuring compliance with EU and International IDEA policies and procedures; Accountable for a timely and efficient implementation of the programme objectives within the budgetary frames;
- Leads, manages and provides strategic direction to the ESGBV programme; Oversees programme planning (including leading the development of project strategies, workplans, and other key project frameworks);
- Ensures the delivery of agreed outputs and outcomes in cooperation and coordination with other areas of work within International IDEA’s programmes, as well as external partners;
- Manages and provides advice, direction and feedback to project partners on aspects of programming, ensuring EU requirements are met;
- Oversees and contributes to training, facilitation, research and strategy development in close collaboration for the component specialists;
- Manages and directs the work and team to deliver efficiently, within agreed timeframes and budget, and in accordance with approved procedures and processes.

Education and Experience
- Post-graduate degree in law, human rights, international development, political science, gender/women’s studies, public policy or other related fields;
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience in designing and leading interventions to eliminate Violence Against Women, strengthen emergency response for survivors of Gender Based Violence, and promote gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in Africa and other developing country contexts;
- Relevant experience in programme management and implementation, and the provision of expert advice in the field of democracy and governance is essential;
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ management experience, including senior level positions, with direct supervision over complex, multi-functional teams; Experience with motivating and leading teams and solving problems;
- Excellent understanding of project management, monitoring and evaluation approaches and procedures is essential;
- Experience in planning, developing, and managing EU funded programmes, as well as familiarity with EU processes and systems;
- Excellent knowledge in written and oral English is required; Any other widely spoken language in an International IDEA priority region (Arabic, French, Spanish) and/or official EU language would be an asset.

Bajo la dirección y supervisión del Analista Técnico/a del Proyecto, el/la Asociado (a) en Género, Participación Social y Salvaguardas tendrá las siguientes responsabilidades:
1. Implementación de salvaguardas, género y gestión de riesgos
- Desarrolla la implementación de todos los planes relacionados con las salvaguardas y las cuestiones de género del proyecto.
- Revisar anualmente la Evaluación Estratégica Ambiental y Social y el Plan de Género, y actualiza el correspondiente registro de riesgos; elaborar planes de mitigación/gestión según sea necesario;
- Garantiza que se identifiquen, eviten, mitiguen y gestionen los riesgos ambientales y sociales y sensibles al género a lo largo de la implementación del proyecto;
2. Gestión de quejas, agravios y transparencia
- Garantizar una gestión eficaz y transparente de los agravios sociales y ambientales;
- Garantiza la plena divulgación entre las partes interesadas;
- Desarrollar el protocolo y ser responsable de la resolución y registro de quejas relacionadas.
3. Monitoreo, evaluación y reportes

The EEDI and Culture Manager plays a pivotal role in embedding equity, equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation, ensuring all employees feel supported to thrive. The objective of the Uganda Refugee Resilience Initiative (URRI) programme is to enhance climate resilience among women, men, and youth in both refugee and host communities, and to promote inclusive, cohesive, and environmentally sustainable development in refugee-affected areas, aligned with local priorities. URRI is funded by the Royal Danish Embassy in Kampala.Technical Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of community level action plans addressing the gender specific needs and barriers prioritized from the gender and power analysis findings.
- Organize and deliver training sessions for women leaders on effective participation in leadership and decision-making processes, focusing on Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), climate adaptation and sustainable resource management.
- Facilitate engagement meetings with stakeholders with the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), local government officials and community leaders to support women’s access to land and follow up on agreed action plans.
Partnership and capacity support

- Support the Resilience Programme Manager by providing technical backstopping and regular support supervision to community structures to ensure gender responsive planning, implementation, and reporting while addressing identified gaps and needs.

About you

Grants management processes
– Support the completion of due diligence and compliance on grantee partners in partnership with program team and Senior Operations Officer.
– Support with administrative steps in GFF’s grantmaking processes in partnership with the program team, including, but not limited to:- Conducting OFAC checks and liaising with appropriate members of the team, as needed.

Purpose of the Assignment
horizont3000 seeks to engage a specialized consultant to develop a cutting-edge resource for operationalizing gender-transformative approaches through dialogue. This toolkit will be a key resource for the h3 and partner organization project teams across diverse geographical and cultural contexts, primarily in East Africa, Senegal, Mozambique and Central America. They will utilize it to build their own awareness and skills, and to effectively prepare and train their community-based facilitators, including farmer field school trainers, farmer to farmer trainers, community animators, paralegals, gender champions etc. Therefore, the guidance must be simple, highly relevant, and designed to go beyond mere inclusion (gender-sensitive) to actively questioning and transforming responsibly the root causes of inequality (gender-transformative). This work is critical to challenging harmful social norms, advancing gender equality, and fostering sustainable outcomes within h3 partner organizations and their sector programmes. '
Objective of the Consultancy
The main objective of this consultancy is to research, collate, sense-make and simplify a set of creative and evidence-based tools and methods for facilitating gender-transformative approaches through community dialogues tailored to different target groups and cultural contexts, including norm setters and community members.
Technical Expertise
• Advanced Degree in Gender Studies, International Development, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of demonstrable experience working in gender equality and social inclusion programming
• Expertise in Gender Transformative Approaches to shift power relations, challenge social and structural barriers, and address intersecting inequalities
• Proven expertise in designing, adapting, and field-testing community-level facilitation tools and methodologies in the context of h3 partner countries.

Sexual & reproductive rights (SRHR) HealthDESCRIPTIONWithin the Department of Medicine at UCSD, the Center on Gender Equity and Health (GEH) focuses on conducting collaborative, action-oriented research to understand and advance gender equity. Under general direction, the incumbent – a PhD-level researcher (or equivalent work experience and research) in the field of public health, social epidemiology, demography, or a related field – will perform innovative, complex research and evaluation analyses related to family planning and sexual / reproductive health issues in low- and middle-income countries across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Work will include analysis of large datasets (experience using DHS or PMA data strongly preferred), conducting literature reviews (from exploratory to systematic), and synthesizing results to generate actionable insights for development programming and investments.
The role requires technical understanding of family planning, family planning data and evidence, policy, and contexts in the geographic regions of interest, rooted in a gender-sensitive and agency-oriented lens. The incumbent will have excellent evaluative and analytical experience, strong data visualization and synthesis skills, and an ability to communicate complex results in a clear and compelling story to a variety of audiences. Incumbent must have experience working in fast-paced, collaborative team environments and the ability to produce high-quality products with rapid timelines. Knowledge and skills in one or several of the following are preferred: measurement and monitoring, strategy and consulting, geospatial mapping and modeling, and costing development programs.

Job Description
La République Centrafricaine a obtenu un Don de l’Association Internationale de Développement (IDA) pour couvrir le coût du Projet Régional d’Amélioration des Corridors de transport Routier et Fluvial en Afrique Centrale (PRACAC). L’objectif du Projet est d’améliorer la Connectivité régionale et le commerce entre la République Centrafricaine et la République du Congo. Pour la République Centrafricaine, il s’agit de relever les défis identifiés le long du corridor multimodale transport fluvial et routier afin de redynamiser et soutenir l’activité économique de la sous-région le long du corridor 13 de manière durable, résiliente au climat et pus sûre en atténuant la dépendance actuelle vis-à-vis du corridor routier Bangui -Douala.
Concernant les activités à mettre en œuvre, il s’agira de : (i) remettre en état les infrastructures prioritaires de transport, (ii) faciliter le commerce aux niveaux régional/bilatéral et local, (iii) améliorer la gouvernance et capacité institutionnelle au niveau régional, (iv) assurer la soutenabilité financière du secteur, la pérennité des investissements et la maintenance et, (v) améliorer les infrastructures socioéconomiques pour avoir un réel impact local. Le projet se concentre sur la RCA et le Congo mais vise à avoir des retombées spatiales potentiellement bénéfiques pour quatre (4) pays au niveau sous régional, à savoir le Congo, la République Centrafricaine, la République Démocratique du Congo et le Tchad.
3. Pour la République Centrafricaine, le Projet est élaboré autour de cinq (5) composantes dont les principales activités retenues sont :
- La construction de la section de route Bossembélé – Bossangoa ainsi que les voies rurales d’accès au corridor ;
- La remise en état d’infrastructures portuaires le long du fleuve Oubangui ;
- Et quelques infrastructures sociocommunautaires ciblées le long du corridor.
