- At least 5 years’ experience in providing technical advice on gender mainstreaming and/or women’s rights programming; demonstrable understanding of gender mainstreaming and women’s rights; and experience in promoting women’s leadership and decision making in areas of sustainable livelihoods emergencies, and disaster risk reduction.
- Experience working in a conflict or post conflict situation.
- Substantial knowledge of the socio-economic and political context of the region and how it affects women’s rights and gender equality
- Knowledge of Results-based management (RBM) approach and Performance measurement framework (PMF).
- Knowledge and / or experience of common Oxfam norms objects, standards and tools
- Experience using a computerized information management system (Ms Word, Excel etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal English) and the ability to write clear, concise reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support in the implementation of gender technical assistance as per the IGNITE+ model.
• Contribute to strengthening institutional systems and structures towards gender integration for IGNITE+ clients.
• Support in the design and delivery of participatory training, sensitization, workshops on gender integration for clients
• Support the development and piloting of capacity building tools that integrate both gender and nutrition into the design and implementation of agriculture activities

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in gender studies, development studies, sociology, anthropology, women’s studies or other related discipline.
• Recently completed master’s degree in the above fields of study (within the last 12-18 months) or awaiting graduation.
• Good understanding of global and continental commitment mechanisms for gender in agriculture for stakeholders such as governments, NGOs, and private sector. Last updated: July 2024

IPPF ESEAOR is seeking experienced report writers to provide high quality reports for two large, multi-country SRH donorfunded programs across South and Southeast Asia. The consultant(s) may be requested to support with both or one of the reports from late January to end of February 2026. IPPF will also consider extending the consultancy to support donor reporting in mid 2026 which will be decided at a later stage. Objective To support IPPF ESEAOR to provide high quality written reports for submission to donors
Activities

Executive Director
As one of the first global affiliates of the ActionAid International federation, ActionAid International Kenya has an important voice in the General Assembly. As the Executive Director, you will be leading this country affiliate to implement the 2025 – 2028 Country Strategy and strengthen national brand recognition. About the Role
The Executive Director will inspire vision, provide strategic leadership and ensure financial sustainability. He/ she will provide guidance on harnessing human and financial resources, partnerships, alliances and other resources so as to deliver the organization’s mandate in line with its values and established policies. The Executive Director will continue to translate the AAI global strategy into the Kenya context, and provide country support to peer countries and engage in regional and global initiatives.
Skills and Experience- The ideal candidate should have a degree either in social sciences, development studies, management, international development studies or any other development-related fields. A Masters degree in related fields is an advantage.
- Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, five (5) years of which must be at the senior management level in development work, women’s rights and poverty eradication programmes in an international organization with proven initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm in managing complex activities in a changing environment.
- Have satisfactorily served as Head of a Unit in AAIK or a comparable position with similar responsibilities in similar organizations for a minimum period of five (5)years.
- Strong leadership, management, analytical/problem solving, and management of crisis, conflict and risk skills.
- Sound and up to date knowledge of development concepts, methodologies and techniques including demonstrated expertise in at least one specialist development field.
- Demonstrable experience in management of AAI affiliates, donors and members.
- Proven ability to develop the capacities of multi-disciplinary professional teams undertaking comprehensive social justice, poverty eradication and gender equality strategies.
- This position will require extensive travel of up to 30% to remote areas and interaction with partners in Kenya and beyond.

UNFPA is the lead United Nations agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is intended, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. The UNFPA Strategic Plan for 2026-2029 articulates the organization’s response to a complex global environment, providing a roadmap for resilience and renewal. It is designed to accelerate the implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
You would be responsible for:
Programme Development and Implementation- Conduct field assessments and situational analyses to determine needs and gaps for GBV prevention and response, with particular focus on GBV services. Where appropriate, ensure GBV issues are integrated into other key assessments, including those related to recovery, resilience, and social protection.
- Conduct service mapping and service gap analyses to assess the availability, accessibility, and quality of GBV response services, and plan for collaboration and improvement. Integrate longer-term development considerations such as capacity strengthening of national systems and sustainability of service delivery.
- In partnership with relevant UN entities, national and international NGOs, and government counterparts, develop a national GBV Case Management mechanism aligned with global guidance, the Inter-Agency Minimum Standards for Addressing GBV in Emergencies, and the Inter-Agency GBV Case Management Guidelines.
Partnerships- Maintain strong working relationships and, in coordination with the UNFPA Representative/Head of Office, provide regular updates on UNFPA’s GBV progress to the UNCT, GBV Sub-Cluster, Protection and Health Clusters, and development coordination mechanisms.
- Work closely with the SRH Specialist/Coordinator to strengthen linkages between GBV and SRH programmes, ensuring integrated approaches that address the continuum of rights, health, and protection needs.
Reporting- Monitor GBV assistance provided by UNFPA through implementing partners, ensuring both emergency response and developmental impact are documented.
- Track progress and outcomes of GBV programming, especially Case Management and system-strengthening initiatives, through regular data collection, expenditure tracking, and partner reporting
Capacity Development- Provide mentoring and technical coaching to staff, consultants, and implementing partners on GBV prevention, response, and nexus programming.
- Strengthen institutional capacity of local authorities and service providers to transition from humanitarian to sustainable service delivery models.
Administrative and Miscellaneous Duties- Submit monthly reports documenting progress against work plan outputs, highlighting nexus linkages, advocacy achievements, and contributions toward CPD outcomes

Overview of the Position
WFA seeks to recruit a short-term consultant to undertake a mapping exercise to advance and inform WFA’s work with LBTQIA+ organisations that are implementing economic empowerment programmes in Asia.
I. Tasks and Deliverables
Mapping of LBTQIA+ Economic Empowerment Work and Resources in Asia: Develop a well-synthesised report through literature review, survey, and consultations with WFA grantee partners, sister funds, multilateral funds and donors, regional networks, and LBTQIA+-led organisations.
The report should:
1.Map existing initiatives: Identify LBTQIA+-led groups and organisations across Asia that are working to strengthen economic empowerment and livelihoods through expanding decent work opportunities, promoting LBTQIA+ entrepreneurship, and building supportive ecosystems to advance LBTQIA+ economic power.
2.Document existing programmes: Summarise key actors, programme types, geographic coverage, target populations, scale, and funding sources
3.Identify gaps and opportunities: Highlight challenges, areas for support, collaboration, and potential scale-up.
4.Map resources and networks: Outline existing donors, intermediaries, and funding streams; networks and alliances; and resources and research initiatives supporting or focused on LBTQIA+ economic empowerment in the region.
5.Apply an intersectional lens: Assess how overlapping factors, such as disability, climate vulnerability, socio-economic status, ethnicity, caste, age, SOGIESC, and others, affect LBTQIA+ individuals’ access to resources and economic opportunities.
II. Requirements
1.Background in economic empowerment, social development, or related fields, with demonstrated knowledge of LBTQIA+ communities and their lived realities. 2.Established relationships and networks within LBTQIA+led organisations, community-based initiatives, and relevant national or regional networks.

You’ll be working in youth groups for young trans people, providing face-to-face delivery and development of our services for ages 8-25. You’ll also be joining our established Youth Work team - we have been delivering support for young trans people since 2008 and have a well-developed ethos, along with proven systems and methods in youth work practice. The Youth Work team is led by the Head of Youth and Communities Services, supported by Senior Practitioners and 5 Youth Work Coordinators.

We have been delivering support for parents and carers of young trans people (aged 8-25) for over 15 years and believe that in creating safe spaces to explore emotions and practical questions, we can support cis adults to best support their young people. - Create internal structures and systems that allow Raising Voices to manage the funds and fulfil the fiduciary responsibilities e.g., partnership agreement, reporting templates and schedules.
Financial and Operations Oversight- Support preparation of budgets.
- Prepare financial reports every 6 months and submit them to Raising Voices.
- Monitor and ensure the effective and efficient use of grant and sub-grant funds across the project, ensuring that budgets are adhered to and that funds are used according to agreed-upon priorities.
- Work closely with the finance team to track expenditures, ensure proper accounting, and resolve any financial issues. This includes ensuring work advances are accounted for in a timely manner.
Learning and Assessment:- Participate in and support scheduling of learning processes related to the research partnership, as requested.
- Review and analyze progress reports from sub-grantees to assess effectiveness and outcomes and work with technical support team and learning partner to consolidate recommendations.
Essential Knowledge:- In depth Knowledge on women’s rights issues and feminist analysis of VAW.
- Understanding of effective VAW Prevention approaches and the current state of the field.
- Feminist partnership understanding and experience, demonstrated feminist understanding of power dynamics as it relates to funding and grants management.
- Fluency in both French and English is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate respect and foster positive communication with partners and colleagues.
- Willingness to travel to offices in Mali and Burkina Faso.
- Minimum – BA Degree in development, social work, gender, human rights fields, finance or any other related area.
- Experience creating and facilitating processes to build trust and relationships within grant partnerships.
- Extensive experience in facilitating capacity-building initiatives and training sessions in project management.
- At least five years of experience managing grants. Experience in managing sub-grants with partner coordination a plus.
- At least three years of experience with financial and narrative report writing in English and French.
- Experience in creating grants management systems and structures.
