Key Responsibilities:Advocacy Program Development, Management, and Implementation- Develop, lead, and execute youth-informed advocacy projects to advance the rights of girls and gender-expansive youth, especially those of color, at the institutional, local, and state levels. - Manage and implement AFG’s school-based project, Reclaiming Safety: Changing School Culture to Prevent Gender-Based Violence, at Skyline High School and Madison Park Academy in collaboration with The Unity Council’s Latinx Mentoring and Achievement Program.
Youth and Member Engagement- Use participatory processes to organize community events and town halls in collaboration with AFG’s Programs team and youth researchers to engage girls, gender-expansive youth, member organizations, and interested community members in developing data-driven recommendations and solutions to issues that matter most to them.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and collaborate closely with AFG member organizations, girls and gender-expansive youth, Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) school staff and administration, government officials, community coalitions, and institutional partners.
Communications- Prepare compelling advocacy materials, including advocacy alerts, testimony, briefing papers, and social media content to inform and mobilize supporters.
- Track, uplift, support, and share updates about initiatives by AFG and/or its member organizations and their youth with the rest of the AFG team and larger AFG community.
Monitoring and Evaluation- Work collaboratively with AFG's Evaluation Manager to document advocacy activities and outcomes, including tracking participation, collecting feedback from youth and partners, and contributing to impact reports that inform future strategy.
What We’re Looking For- Advocacy and organizing experience: 3+ years of community organizing, advocacy, coalition-building, or systems change work (this could be through formal employment, volunteer leadership, grassroots organizing, or lived experience advocating for yourself or your communities)
- Youth-centered practice: Proven ability to work alongside and center youth of color, particularly girls and gender-expansive youth, as experts and decision-makers rather than beneficiaries
- Strategic versatility: Deep expertise in at least two of these areas: community organizing, coalition building, cultural/narrative strategy, youth engagement, or policy advocacy
- Lived expertise: Ability to translate personal experience navigating systems into meaningful strategies for systemic change

Internship Description and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the CSE Global Programme Coordinator and working in close collaboration with technical officers in the CSE and Child Marriage teams of UNFPA’s Gender, Human Rights and Inclusion Branch as well as with UNESCO, WHO and other relevant UN agencies and partners, the JPO will support UNFPA’s global CSE programmes with the following activities:- Assist in provision of relevant support to the implementation of the UNFPA strategic plan outputs/deliverables in the area of Comprehensive Sexuality Education.
- Support the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs related to CSE.
- Support the extraction, synthesis and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data from CO reports, partner documentation, and relevant literature to develop actionable recommendations for informing the planning, implementation, and strategic decision-making of UNFPA’s global CSE programmes.
- Support the visualization and presentation of programme data and results using UNFPA corporate tools (e.g. Quantum, Power BI) and other data visualization software to produce clear, accessible, and visually engaging products for internal and external audiences.
- Liaise with Regional Offices (RO), Country offices (CO) and implementing partners to assist in formative research and documenting best practices on CSE implementation.
- Support data analysis and visualization for UNFPA’s broader adolescent and youth portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience- Masters Degree or equivalent in social sciences, medical sciences, public health, international development or related fields.

The African Union Commission’s Women Gender and Youth Directorate (AUC-WGYD) is mandated to promote Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment as well as youth development. This mandate is guided by several African Union (AU) commitments provided in instruments like the AU Constitutive Act, the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, the Protocol to the African Charter on Human an Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa, the African Youth Charter; and policy frameworks like the AU Strategy for Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment (GEWE), the African Plan of Action for Youth Empowerment (APAYE) and the AU Agenda 2063. Agenda 2063 emphasizes the need for inclusive and sustainable development, where women and youth play a central role as stated in Aspiration 6.
Objectives of the Assignment
The key objective of the assignment is to assess the extent of gender and youth mainstreaming in terms of the development and delivery of gender and youth sensitive programs and services (gender and youth sensitivity) within the African Union Commission.
C. The scope of the Audit are outlined below:
The assignment will produce knowledge and information on the extent to which gender and youth mainstreaming is institutionalized within the departments and the dispensation of policies, programs, projects, and services (institutionalized gender mainstreaming) within the African Union Commission.
The audit will establish an initial baseline of performance on gender and youth mainstreaming in the respective departments to be used as a benchmark to measure progress on gender equality across time and departments (setting benchmarks) and assist in the identification of mechanisms that have contributed to mainstreaming gender and youth within the respective departments and document good practices for sharing within and outside the department and provide recommendations to improve the performance of the respective departments in ensuring gender and youth mainstreaming (reflective recommendations).
Qualifications
• Masters in socio-economic studies, gender studies, social sciences, disability studies or any related development fields;
• Significant experience in conducting gender and youth audits for regional and international organisations, civil society organizations; public institutions or development partners of at least 6 years;
• 10 years of experience in working on women’s and youth development and gender issues • Extensive experience working in the areas of gender and youth in Africa

Position overview
The Senior Advocacy, Communications and Policy Lead at Switchboard plays a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the organisation’s external policy, advocacy, and communication efforts to champion the rights and wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ communities in Australia. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Executive Team, Program Managers, Communications Coordinator and Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator, this role ensures that Switchboard’s public policy, communications, and advocacy initiatives are evidence‑based, strategically aligned, and reflective of the organisation’s vision, purpose, values and strategic priorities.
This role requires deep expertise in the health and wellbeing needs of LGBTIQA+ communities, alongside substantial experience within the health, community services, or social policy sectors. The Senior Advocacy, Communications and Policy Lead provides high‑level, evidence‑informed strategic advice to the CEO, grounded in a comprehensive understanding of sector trends, reforms, and the broader political landscape. The role leads the development of high‑quality policy submissions, briefs, and external reports addressing key issues affecting LGBTIQA+ communities, particularly in mental health, suicide prevention, and family violence.

In addition to policy and advocacy leadership, the position oversees Switchboard’s external communications and stakeholder engagement function, including the development of messaging, media responses, public statements, and strategic communication materials. Job Description
Lead research and policy projects
You will lead our Research and Policy team and manage our research experts. This will include leading on existing and new projects from concept design to funder reporting, as well as conducting research in different areas of economic and social policy like social security, pensions, VAWG, labour market, social care, etc.
Maintain and forge external partnerships
You will maintain, identify and forge new collaborations with academics, feminist organisations and economics think tanks.
Represent WBG at external events and to the media
You will represent WBG in meetings with key stakeholders and speak at external events. You will also be a spokesperson for the press, radio and broadcast TV to promote WBG’s research and analysis.
Contribute to our advocacy strategy
You will work closely with our Communications and Public Affairs team to ensure our research outputs are relevant to our advocacy goals and that they are accessible to a wide range of audiences, including policymakers, politicians, journalists, and feminist campaigning organisations.
Supervise our research and policy support programme
In collaboration with our Head of Training and Capacity Building you will expand our programme of research and policy support for grassroots organisations in the UK and internationally.

Essential:
Experience of undertaking qualitative and/or quantitative research with the aim of changing public policy. Knowledge of feminist approaches to economics.

ROLE DIMENSIONS:
The Technical Advisor is a member of the Country Management Team and is expected to contribute to the development of Plan International Uganda’s strategic plans – both long and short term. The job holder ensures that emerging best practices in Gender equality & child rights are incorporated into programme strategy and project design and that the results of learning are fed back into the design and adaptation of strategies.
The Technical Advisor supports the design of PIU’s Gender Equality & Child rights programme and influencing interventions. The role is also accountable for the provision of standards, tools, advisory services and monitoring frameworks that will assure the programmatic excellence and technical quality of programme implementation. The Technical Advisor also leads external representation to Gender Equality & Child Rights sector actors, including government, international and local partners. This position is responsible for managing a budget of around €40,000 annually. Additionally, the job holder directly influences the overall programme implementation budget of around €9 million annually.
The key challenge for this position is around the profound difficulty of driving change when the root
causes of inequality are systemic and multi-faceted. This requires the job holder to:
• Have an outstanding ability to think strategically and conceptually, analysing complex, multidimensional systems and hypothesizing logical theories of change, including an ability to conduct Gender analysis.
• Lead the team to innovate – developing new interventions and utilising MERL approaches to test their effectiveness and adapt or pivot strategies in order to optimise impact
• Influence PIU staff, partners, national-level and local-level stakeholders to understand programme approaches and to adopt new ways of thinking and acting
Qualifications
Master's degree (preferred) in Human Rights, Gender, Social Sciences or equivalent, with professional training on child rights programming and gender equality
At least 7 years’ experience in design and implementation of Gender Equality & Child Rights programming in a reputable organization and in both development and humanitarian contexts

Asian Community AIDS Services (ACAS) is a charitable, non-profit, community-based organization located in Toronto, Canada. We provide safer sex education and services to the East and Southeast Asian communities and support services to persons living with HIV/AIDS and members of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community. Position Overview: ACAS provides outreach to Asian migrant farm workers (AMFWs) across Southwestern Ontario, offering culturally appropriate sexual health education, supplies and links to essential services. We train Peer Champions to support their fellow workers with HIV/STI information and connect with them online or in person throughout the season. We also work closely with the Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW) to strengthen farm visits and ensure workers receive accessible, effective support.
** Please note that we strongly encourage candidates from East and Southeast Asian communities who bring experience in relation to HIV prevention and sexual health promotion to apply. We also strongly encourage applicants who are living with HIV to consider this role. Candidates must be in Southern/Southwestern Ontario and have access to a reliable vehicle as this role requires frequent travel to different regions for outreach activities.
Responsibilities:
• Recruit, train and support two (2) peer champions
• Develop outreach plan and organize activities
• Design and conduct educational workshops that are appropriate for AMFWs as audience
• Assist AMFWs on service navigation and refer to appropriate health services
• Coordinate testing service and transportation with local and ethno-specific volunteers, sexual health clinics, AIDS service organizations, and project partners
• Partner with Alliance members to organize an annual health fair, community forum, and symposium
• Maintain project statistics and prepare written progress reports
• Manage project budget
• Participate in Alliance meetings, other network meetings, and trainings

Skills and Qualifications
• Commitment to ACAS’ mission, vision and values.
• Knowledge of the migrant farm workers communities in Southern/Southwestern Ontario; experience working with Asian migrant farm workers is an asset.
• Demonstrated experience working in East and Southeast Asian communities and experience in the field of HIV/AIDS and 2SLGBTQ+ services.

7. Integrated resource directory and Toolkit: a living and accessible ecosystem of practical tools, contextual knowledge and peer connections designed to strengthen the operational resilience and strategic response capacity of French and Portuguese speaking women’s rights movements.

GBV / VAWGTangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation (TCAC) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation, providing services and running social enterprise activities for the benefit of Aboriginal people from the Alice Springs Town Camps, urban Alice Springs, and Central Australia.
The Family Safety & Social Services (FS&SS) Division includes a variety of programs including Tangentyere Family Violence Prevention Program (FVPP) under which sits the Men’s Behaviour Change Program (MBCP), Domestic Violence Specialist Children’s Service (DVSCS), Strong Families Program and the Tangentyere Women’s Family Safety Group (TWFSG).The ‘Prevent. Assist. Respond. Training – do your part’ (PART) project is specialist ongoing domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) training for police and healthcare workers in the Northern Territory.
Responsibilities
- Support the Coordinator to schedule, promote, and deliver DFSV training for community organisations across all five divisions of the Northern Territory.
- Develop, engage and manage relationships with stakeholders throughout the Northern Territory.
- Adapt and develop PART training resources and materials for community settings.
- Contribute to knowledge product development.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation processes for PART, including reporting.
- Assist with achieving quality management objectives across the organisation.
- Assist with achieving safeguarding objectives across the organisation.
- Assist with achieving compliance objectives across the organisation.
- Other reasonable duties as required.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria- Completed tertiary studies in in Community Development, Social Work, Gender Studies, Sociology, Psychology, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in domestic, family, and sexual violence work
- Demonstrated experience in training, education or facilitation – including content and resource development
- Demonstrated understanding of the evidence-base in relation to gender-based violence, and specifically domestic, family, and sexual violence
- Excellent communication skills and the ability positively to engage and manage stakeholders across a variety of sectors.
- The ability to engage and work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Demonstrated strong administration and organisation skills
- Current NT Drivers Licence, NT Working with Children (Ochre) Card, satisfactory Police Check, and proof of full (3) vaccination against COVID-19.
