Child protection/ Children’s rights Movement building YouthAbout Us:
Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting is the world’s only movement for every girl and any girl because we believe that each of them deserves to be the best they can be. Girl Guides and Girl Scouts learn by doing, make friends and have fun. In brave, local spaces, girls develop the skills and attitudes to change themselves, their communities and our world. The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts supports 153 national Girl Guide and Girl Scout organisations around the world to be united, thriving and growing.
About the Role:
WAGGGS is embarking on a once-in-a-generation capital investment programme to secure the long-term sustainability of its global property portfolio, including its iconic World Centres.
These centres are at the heart of the Movement - places where girls and young women from across the world come together to learn, lead, and build lifelong connections.
Over the next ten years, £5.9 million is required to protect, upgrade, and future-proof these spaces, ensuring they remain accessible, inclusive, and fit for the next generation.
A significant proportion of this funding (£3.75 million) will be raised through a global capital fundraising campaign. This project will coincide with WAGGGS Centenary in 2028 and is an amazing opportunity to amplify the moment.
This role will lead the initial scoping and feasibility phase of the campaign- testing assumptions, shaping a compelling case for support, and laying the foundations for a successful multi-year appeal. The consultant will assess readiness, define strategy, and provide clear recommendations on campaign viability, structure, and resourcing.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional with a track record of developing and delivering major fundraising strategies, ideally including capital campaigns, feasibility studies, or significant growth projects. You have experience securing high-value support from trusts, foundations, institutional funders, major donors, or other philanthropic partners, and understand how to build compelling cases for investment.
A strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills, you are comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, assessing fundraising potential, and translating complex projects into clear, evidence-based recommendations. You are motivated by the opportunity to help shape a once-in-a-generation campaign that will secure the future of WAGGGS' World Centres and their impact on generations of girls and young women around the world.

Digital rights GBV / VAWG MasculinitiesBackground and Project Overview
Equimundo: Center for Masculinities and Social Justice is implementing a project aimed at addressing gendered disinformation and other online harmful behaviors through strategies that engage men and boys - a multi-year initiative funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. Running from June 2026 through December 2028, this initiative will tackle the growing threat of gendered disinformation and technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) in Eastern Europe and sub-Saharan Africa, two regions where rapid digital expansion has outpaced legal and social protections for women, girls, and marginalized communities.
At the heart of the project is a bold and necessary premise: preventing online violence requires engaging the men and boys who disproportionately perpetrate, enable, and normalize it, while also recognizing that they are themselves frequently targeted, exploited, and harmed by the same online ecosystems. Through strategic grantmaking to local and regional organizations, Equimundo will support interventions across three pillars - critical digital literacy, policy and corporate advocacy, and the creation of caring online spaces. Grounded in rigorous regional research on the ‘manosphere’ and other online ecosystems, the initiative will fund evidence-based programs that challenge harmful gender norms, foster positive digital masculinities, and build safer online environments for everyone. By investing in locally led solutions, the project aims not only to reduce harm but also to reshape the conditions that allow gendered disinformation and online harms to thrive.
Required
● At least 4 years of experience in digital research, disinformation analysis, online harms research, digital ethnography, policy analysis, or related research in the relevant region (Eastern Europe and/or sub-Saharan Africa).
● Demonstrated expertise in at least two of the following thematic areas: gendered disinformation; TFGBV or gender-based violence prevention; online misogyny or manosphere dynamics; digital rights or platform accountability; masculinities and male engagement in gender equality programming.
● Strong qualitative research skills, including experience designing and conducting key informant interviews and producing synthesis reports for practitioner audiences.
● Demonstrated ability to analyze digital ecosystems, narratives, or online communities, including across multiple platforms and languages where relevant.
● Fluency in English (written and spoken). For Eastern Europe, fluency in Russian, Ukrainian, or another relevant regional language is strongly preferred. For Sub-Saharan Africa, proficiency in French, Kiswahili, or another relevant regional language is an asset.
● Established networks in the target region’s digital rights, online safety, research, media, or civil society ecosystem.*When clicking on “Apply”, you will be redirected to the original job announcement and details

GBV / VAWG PSEA/ SafeguardingAbout CARECARE International is a global humanitarian organisation leading the fight to end poverty in the world’s most challenging situations. Women and girls are at the centre of our work, because we cannot overcome poverty and inequality until all people have equal rights and opportunities. We know that when a crisis erupts, women are often the first to pick up the pieces, so we work alongside women, so they have the power to make change where it’s needed most. Founded in 1945, CARE currently works in over 100 countries and last year alone reached 53.4 million people through nearly 1,500 projects.
About the roleThis is a rare opportunity to lead advocacy on two of the most important fronts in international development. You will co-lead the External Engagement and Influencing workstream of What Works to Prevent Violence – Impact at Scale (What Works II), a FCDO-funded programme working to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls globally. Alongside this, you will drive CARE International UK's own influencing work on gender equality, shaping UK Government policy and building our reputation as a thought leader on gender justice.
You will co-manage a global team of six advocacy and communications professionals for What Works and represent CARE International UK at senior levels across FCDO and UK Parliament, with sector colleagues, global and domestic women’s rights organisations and influential thought leaders. You will oversee the development of high-impact advocacy products, events and influencing strategies for both briefs.
This role sits in the Programme and Policy team and is line-managed by the Head of Advocacy & Influencing.
About youYou are an experienced, politically astute advocate with a strong track record of influencing policy change on gender equality or international development. You thrive in complex, collaborative environments and know how to translate evidence into compelling political asks.
You will bring:- Significant advocacy or public affairs experience, with a deep understanding of the UK Government, Parliament, and relevant political institutions
- Demonstrable expertise on gender in emergencies, violence against women and girls, or related areas of international development
- Experience developing and delivering successful policy initiatives that have shifted attitudes, behaviour or legislation
- Strong leadership skills, including experience managing teams across time zones and working in co-management or consortium structures
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to distil complexity for senior political audiences and the confidence to speak to media
- A genuine commitment to feminist principles, equity, diversity and inclusion, and to centring the voices of women's rights organisations in advocacy work
- Experience working on violence against women and girls and familiarity with FCDO-funded programmes, are highly desirable.

Violence against women and girls (VAWG) persists in every country in the world and is one of the most systematic and widespread human rights violations. One in three women worldwide experience physical or sexual violence, mostly by an intimate partner. The immediate and long-term physical, sexual, and mental consequences for women and girls can be devastating, including death.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development places gender equality at its core to achieve the SDGs. In Africa particularly, Agenda 2063 clarifies the continent’s priorities, on unlocking the potential of its population by addressing underlying challenges including gender inequality, violence against women and girls in its different formulations. Across this shared international agenda, the elimination of VAWG remains crucial. To this end, the Spotlight Initiative was launched in 2017 with funding of more than $500 million from the European Union, which constituted the largest global, multilateral effort aimed at ending all forms of violence against women and girls. Through its whole-of-society approach, the Spotlight Initiative Africa Regional Programme (SIARP) has achieved transformative results in ending VAWG, accelerating progress against Agenda 2063’s Priority 6 and across the SDGs.

Child protection/ Children’s rights GBV / VAWG Health Sexual & reproductive rights (SRHR)Background
Child sexual violence (CSV) remains a major global challenge with serious consequences for children’s wellbeing, safety, and rights. Although the evidence base on CSV prevention and response interventions has expanded over the past two decades, the field continues to face significant challenges in how outcomes are measured.
A rapid review on CSV outcome measurement conducted by the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) with support from Oak Foundation found that many CSV interventions rely on author designed tools or adapted measures with limited contextual validation, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The review also highlighted that most studies focus on proximal outcomes such as knowledge and attitudes, while behavioural outcomes including reductions in victimization and perpetration are measured far less frequently. This limits the field’s ability to determine whether interventions ultimately reduce CSV.
In response, SVRI seeks to commission a comprehensive evidence review that synthesises existing knowledge on CSV outcome measurement, critically assesses current measurement approaches, and identifies priorities for strengthening the science and practice of outcome measurement in CSV prevention. This work will contribute to ongoing efforts to improve CSV outcome measurement and inform future field-wide guidance and methodological alignment.
The review and resulting outputs will also contribute to discussions at the SVRI Forum in October 2026 and support longer-term efforts toward the development of tools including a compendium of measures and guidance on best practices for measurement for researchers, practitioners, funders, and policymakers working on CSV prevention globally.
