In Ghana, UNFPA has started implementing its new five-year 8th Country Programme 2023-2027. The 8th CP aligns well with national, regional and global priorities including aligning with the UNFPA strategic plan, 2022 – 2025, that seeks to accelerate the reduction of preventable maternal death, unmet need for family planning, and gender-based violence and harmful practices. Overall, the country programme contributes to national priorities, including creating a wealthy, inclusive, sustainable, equitable, resilient, healthy and disciplined society, encapsulated in the President’s vision of “Ghana Beyond Aid”.Employing your programme management experience, you will oversee the work of the gender and human rights programme team as well as consultants, advisors, and experts. You will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with counterparts in government, multi-lateral and bilateral donor agencies and civil society to address emerging issues, and effectively influence diverse stakeholders to contribute to achieving UNFPA’s mandate.
Qualifications and Experience:- Master degree in Gender Studies, Human Rights, Law, Public Policy, Development Studies or related disciplines.
- At least five years of increasingly responsible professional experience at the advisory/managerial level in managing gender and/or human rights programmes.

- Demonstrable technical expertise in gender equality, including knowledge of gender-based violence and harmful practices.

- Prior experience in the UN system is an asset.

The 2gether 4 SRHR is a joint United Nations Regional Programme that brings together the combined efforts of UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF, and WHO to improve the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of all people in Eastern and Southern Africa.
Purpose of consultancy2gether 4 SRHR is seeking a pool of technical writers to support the development of knowledge products on SRHR including policy briefs, toolkits, case studies, emerging and promising practices, human interest stories, and fact sheets drawing on information, data and resources (inclusive of desk reviews, interviews, consultations, and field visits, among others) that can be used to amplify models and approaches across the region.
Scope of workProcess- Participate in a writers workshop to meet with the programme team and other writers to agree on the knowledge product(s) to be produced (inclusive of word count, format and style).
- Develop an inception report that outlines the scope of the project, methodologies, process, outputs, timelines, and deliverables.
- Propose an outline and structure based on the type of knowledge product to best suit the purpose and intended audience.
- Gather data, including undertaking desktop reviews, developing questionnaires, and analysing data collected from site visits, key informant interviews, discussions with beneficiaries, policy makers, and decision makers.
- Write up the knowledge product according to the outline or structure, inclusive of agreed page length and editorial style across products, and undertake reviews and incorporate comments and inputs received from the team.
- Incorporate feedback from an external editor and do a final review of the design and layout of the knowledge product.
- Facilitate regular planning calls with 2gether 4 SRHR internal team to ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in a final debrief meeting to reflect on experiences and lessons learned.
Deliverables:- Inception report that outlines the scope of the agreed-upon project, methodologies, process, outputs, timelines, and deliverables.
- Questionnaires for engagements with key informants, beneficiaries, and other data collection tools that may be required.
- Draft and final version of the produced knowledge product, written in accordance with United Nations editorial style guidelines and inclusive of incorporated feedback by the 2gether 4 SRHR teams and the external editor and proofreaders.
- Finalise designed versions of the knowledge products.
Required expertise, qualifications and competencies- Advanced University degree in Writing, Journalism, Communication, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant writing experience linked to sexual and reproductive health and rights, or a related field, in East and Southern Africa;
- Evidence of previous experience of knowledge products produced that clearly demonstrate skills in gathering, analysing and synthesizing data into knowledge products that are user-friendly and tailored to relevant audiences;
- Good planning and organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective relationships both within and outside the organization;

The global landscape for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) is experiencing a profound contraction in traditional funding. Governments are redirecting resources while anti-rights movements actively undermine investments in SRHR. This erosion of support is more than a financial challenge: it represents a coordinated attack on reproductive rights and the organizations that defend them. To quicken our step and to bolster our defences, the IPPF Fightback Fund was established as a portfolio of programmes to protect, respond and fight back in the new landscape emerging from the colossal disruption.
The Fightback Fund is supported through a combination of IPPF’s core funds and earmarked contributions from several of our Donors. We are seeking someone to coordinate the management and reporting requirements associated with donor earmarked funds across the Portfolio, and support evidence-based programming, and decision-making across Fightback Fund projects
What you'll do:
- Provide project management support across the Fund portfolio;
- Coordinate donor reporting and financial requirements and funding streams across the FBF components;
- Support the Head of Portfolio Management and Donor Reporting Global Manager with other tasks related to Fightback Fund reporting and financial oversight as required
- Draw together information coming from Fightback Fund projects, with a particular focus on planning, risk, compliance and performance data, develop and maintain related data collection systems and processes
- Provide a continually updated picture of Secretariat Fightback Fund planning and delivery performance.
- Analyse IPPF's service delivery data to enable actionable insights into IPPF's client profile and service delivery results;
- Populate tracking/reporting platforms; and maintain guidance and resource tools that support FBF programme planning, implementation, changes and enhancements
- With the support of the Donor Reporting Accountant, produce timely and accurate budget versus actual analysis for all FBF projects, with clear explanations of variances.;
- Support Harm Mitigation Grant management including developing funding agreements, reviewing reports and ensuring expenditure is in line with donor requirements
- Make travel arrangements in line with policies and specific funding donor requirements (flight bookings, hotels, visas and transport arrangements)

Program Overview
The Women's Refugee Commission (WRC) invites applications for a 8-month research fellowship designed to support mid-career researchers exploring critical questions at the intersection of gender, displacement, and humanitarian systems. This program centers the leadership and knowledge of displaced women and seeks to generate research that challenges conventional humanitarian approaches and promotes inclusive, feminist alternatives.
Fellows will receive financial support, research guidance, and opportunities for peer learning and collaboration with WRC staff, and a cohort of fellow researchers.
Eligibility
We are seeking early to mid-career women researchers who:
- Have completed or are currently enrolled in a graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in a related field (International Studies, Political Science, Gender Studies, Public Health, Sociology, Anthropology, etc.) and have 3-10 years of research experience
- Have lived experience of displacement, forced migration, or statelessness
- Demonstrate commitment to participatory, community-centered research methodologies
- Have experience working with or conducting research in displacement, migration, or humanitarian contexts
- Are fluent in English
Women are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet all listed eligibility requirements.
Ideal candidates will also:
- Have experience translating research into policy influence and advocacy

LGBTQI+ rights/ SOGIESCThe GALA Queer Archive is a non-profit archive based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Founded in 1997, GALA aims to act as a catalyst for the production, preservation and dissemination of information about the history, culture and contemporary experiences of LGBTQI+ people in South Africa, and beyond. Responsibilities- Manage GALA’s digital platforms, primarily the GALA website, Facebook page, and Instagram account. This includes generating, designing, formatting, and uploading content, adapting posts for different platforms, and monitoring messages, comments, and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with GALA staff to develop regular content that reflects the organisation’s archival, educational, outreach, and organisational work, and assist team members in shaping content for public audiences.
- Compile, edit, and design the GALA Times newsletter, ensuring consistency in tone, visual identity, and messaging.
- Develop and design digital and print invitations, adverts, and promotional materials for GALA events and programmes.

Key ResponsibilitiesAdvocacy Strategy & Policy Engagement
- Lead the refinement and implementation of SIHA’s regional advocacy and communication priorities aligned with the Strategic Action Plan.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Gender Based Violence / Violence Against Women and Girls1. General Background
The GBV Officer will be part of the headquarters-based global GBV unit. The GBV unit sits in the Durable Solutions and Field Support Service (DS-FPS) within the Division of International Protection and Solutions. The GBV unit provides an important function for UNHCR’s global standard setting and policy making. It also provides oversight for the implementation of the UNHCR Policy on the Prevention of, Risk Mitigation, and Response to GBV. 2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment
Implementation of UNHCR’s Global Policies and Standards
- Participate in the promotion of compliance with UNHCR’s GBV policy, priorities and commitments (aligned with polices on age, gender, diversity (AGD) and accountability to affected populations (AAP), Child protection, gender equality, disability and youth empowerment.
Planning / Programming

Job Description – about the role & responsibilities
The Youth Leadership and Program Lead will be responsible for guiding, monitoring, and overseeing the implementation of programs at CHOICE. The Youth Leadership and Program Lead will mainly be responsible for the implementation of our new program, but will also serve as a contact point for program related questions and concerns for all programs at CHOICE. The Centre for Equality and Justice (CEJ) was established as a company limited by guarantee in late 2017. CEJ’s mission is the achievement of gender justice so that men and women and persons with diverse Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) live in a society that is free, just and equal.
Scope of Work CEJ seeks a Consultant to conduct Capacity Building sessions for Police Officers to enhance their knowledge and skills in providing gender-sensitive services as first responders for TFSGBV related matters. The Consultant will report to the Executive Director, and the tasks will be undertaken in consultation with the CEJ Executive Director and with the support of CEJ staff. To this end, the Consultant shall;
● Conduct 5 in-person, two day capacity building workshops for police officers as first responders to TFSGBV to be gender responsive in their services, across target districts, in local languages (Sinhala/Tamil) (25 participants).
● Participate in a pre-workshop planning meeting with CEJ to finalize the agenda and facilitation strategy.
● Design and prepare all necessary content for the workshops in consultation with CEJ.
● Integrate practical, case-based, and participatory learning approaches tailored to police officers as first responders, following the CEJ Training module on TFSGBV for first responders.
● Ensure the training addresses TFSGBV and its impact, national legal frameworks and procedures, gender-sensitive and survivor-centric response mechanisms and overall referral pathways and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
● Facilitate interactive sessions, including group discussions, case studies, and roleplays.
● Address any challenges or needs related to the workshop that may arise during the workshop in collaboration with the CEJ staff.
● Submit a brief report to CEJ after the workshop summarizing key outcomes, participant feedback, and any recommendations for future activities.
● Deliver work in a timely manner on deadlines agreed upon by CEJ.
Qualification and Experience
● A degree in law, with a specialization in criminal law/human rights law.
● Demonstrated experience (minimum of 5–7 years) in designing and delivering capacity building or training programmes for first responders, particularly on genderbased violence, violence against women and TFSGBV.
● Sound knowledge of national legal frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures related to TFSGBV.
● Proven expertise in gender-sensitive, victim-centred, and rights-based approaches to responding to TFSGBV, including a strong understanding of survivor protection, confidentiality, and ethical procedures.
● Prior experience in conducting in-person training workshops for justice sector stakeholders across multiple districts and adaptation of content to diverse local contexts.

ECOM's main objectives are to ensure sustained and active attention to health and human rights issues concerning LGBT communities in national and international policies and programmes.
Description of required services:
Developing and writing alternative reports on violations of the rights of LGBT people in EECA for human rights mechanisms: UN legal structures (Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, UN treaty bodies, the UN Human Rights Council and UN special procedures), as well as the OSCE, based on data provided by ECOM.
Technical specifications for the consultant:
- Study of the requirements and list of questions for the preparation of an alternative report in accordance with the requirements established by the human rights mechanism to which the report is submitted;
- Preparation of an alternative report on human rights violations affecting LGBT people in EECA countries based on an analysis of open data and materials provided by ECOM. The report should include the specific violations of LGBT people's rights that are the subject of the relevant request from the human rights mechanism and also take into account trends in LGBT rights violations and changes in legislation and law enforcement practices in the given country and/or in the EECA region.
- Develop and include recommendations in the report.
Expected results and performance evaluation:
- Preparation of a draft alternative report on violations of the rights of LGBT people in EECA, based on input data provided by ECOM;
- Revision and finalization of the draft report based on the recommendations received from the staff/members of the ECOM Secretariat.

Qualification and experience requirements:
- Previous experience in the field of human rights and/or advocacy;

Sexual & reproductive rights (SRHR) HealthInternational Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) IPPF works in over 145 countries delivering sexual and reproductive healthcare through our IPPF Member Associations (MA). IPPF is a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all..
KEY TASKS
Brussels-based advocacy and representation:
1. Remain aware of key changes in the EU Institution; keep abreast of factors affecting SRHR and civil society/EU more generally, monitor anti-rights developments
2. Ensure strategic and regular institutional dialogue with relevant stakeholders in the 3 EU institutions. Coordinate regular meetings and nurture key contacts.
3. Monitor specific key EU processes relevant for SRHR and act actively upon them through strategic advocacy activities:
· Funding: the specific EU development cooperation financial instruments relevant for SRHR, the EU budget cycles (including programming) and the multi-annual negotiation.
· Relevant policy and political processes. related to global health, human development and gender equality issues. Specifically follow he implementation of the Gender Action Plan III and the renewal of Gender Action Plan IV.
4. Work collaboratively with other Civil society coalitions, in particular with the Brussels based SRHR partners and when/where relevant with other gender equality/ global health/ international cooperation networks and represent IPPF EN in relevant meetings
5. Be an active member in CONCORD, actively contribute to specific relevant working groups and meetings (especially the MFF task force and the Gender Equality Working Group), coordinate the input of Countdown 2030 Europe partners/ IPPF EN Member associations to CONCORD through their national platforms.
Project implementation:
1. Implement the Brussels based advocacy tasks and priorities of both “Countdown 2030 Europe” and “Protecting Gender Equality from backlash in EU external policies” projects incumbent upon IPPF EN as one of the partners 2. Overall, ensure coordination between Brussels- based and national partners, including keeping the information flow, responding to their information request; soliciting inputs on their national developments as EU member state; assisting them in nurturing relations with their Member State representatives in Brussels. and lead on consortium wide advocacy actions alerts related to the above key EU processes, especially on the MFF negotiations and the GAP renewal.
3. Actively participate in in both projects planning meetings and specific working groups, contribute to projects reporting and joint activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
· A post graduate qualification (or equivalent through experience) in political/social sciences, development or European Studies
· 3 to 5 years of work experience in European advocacy or advocacy for sexual and reproductive health and rights or similar development issues.
· Proven track record in networking and working in coalitions and alliances
· Thorough knowledge / understanding of EU structures and decision making, EU financial instruments for external action, EU development policies.
· Specific knowledge on gender / sexual and reproductive health and rights, particularly in international development
