POSITION SUMMARY
Freely in Hope is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth. As we are transitioning to center African leadership, this role will be based in Kenya. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic, survivor-led organization that is at the forefront of a global movement to end sexual violence and empower local leaders in Africa. The ideal candidate will bring their lived experience and survivor-leadership to shape a bold vision that empowers survivor-leaders, particularly from African communities, to drive transformation. With a deep understanding of the challenges and strengths of survivors, this leader will ensure that the organization’s work across Kenya, Zambia, and beyond centers on the voices and leadership of survivors in every aspect of our mission.
As Executive Director, you will guide the organization’s strategic direction, drive fundraising efforts, foster partnerships, and ensure the programs and services meet the evolving needs of survivors. You will cultivate a culture of empowerment and collaboration, leading a dedicated team and continuing to amplify the impact of survivor leadership globally. This role requires a passionate, strategic leader with expertise in nonprofit management, team-building, and a commitment to ensuring African survivor leadership is at the heart of the organization's mission and growth.
