The Division of Health Systems (DHS) supports countries in developing resilient, people-centred health systems that ensure people can access the right care in the right place and at the right time without financial hardship, across all life stages. It provides policy guidance and technical support on health financing, workforce, mental health, data, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital health, and access to medicines. The Division supports countries to develop and implement sound, evidence-informed health policies across all stages of life including the promotion and protection of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the overall and direct supervision of the Director of the Division of Health Systems, the JPO will:- Contribute to the development of standards, implementation interventions and indicators to improve the quality of reproductive, maternal and newborn care, while ensuring alignment with international standards and WHO guidance on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), including adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights;
- Monitor and track progress related to sexual and reproductive rights, access to sexual health services, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health outcomes;
- Analyze information from Member States and implementing partners with particular attention to indicators related to sexual and reproductive health and rights, reproductive autonomy, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights;
- Prepare case studies of good practices and support the organization of subregional and regional SRMNH meetings to facilitate knowledge exchange, sharing of achievements and lessons learned, including innovations and effective approaches that strengthen Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) including adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights;
- Facilitate regular reporting on progress and challenges through online surveys and ongoing communication with national SRH focal points, including engagement with stakeholders working on reproductive rights, health promotion, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Required Qualifications and Experience- Doctor of Medicine or advanced university degree in public health or related subject.
- In exceptional cases candidates with a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 4 years relevant working experience can be considered.

The post holder is a technical expert and specialist in mainstreaming safeguarding and PSHEA principles into programs, designing and testing tools to be used and adopted across a number of types of programs including emergency response, gender, livelihoods, education and health, taking responsibility for ensuring that CARE offices are actively engaged in preventing sexual harassment exploitation and abuse through good program design and awareness, and that design and delivery of effective community based complaints and feedback mechanisms is in place.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that safer programming is adopted across CARE USA and country offices and that the right people are convened across the organization to ensure that this happens in a coordinated way. Approaches must be consistent with CARE’s Core Values.
This is a global role and (40%) travel is a key aspect of this role. The post holder is required to travel to locations of humanitarian disaster and conflict as part of this role and should be willing and able to do so (the role is home based during the COVID 19 pandemic).

Accountabilities

Specific Responsibilities
• Conduct financial, regulatory, operational audit, reviews and compliance testing of UAFAfrica’s policies and procedures to establish the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information.

The primary role of the Intern will be to support ILGA-Europe’s Annual Conference organising and delivery process, as well as a number of other events, and a range of operations of the finance and admin team.
The Annual Conference is the largest annual gathering of LGBTI activists and allies in Europe and Central Asia. It brings together of 400 participants from over 50 countries, for 3.5 days of strategizing, learning, networking, and inspiration. The Intern will play a crucial role in preparing the event, and making sure it is fit for purpose.
The Intern will report to the Finance Director and have an assigned mentor to support daily immersion and work. They will also work closely with a range of different staff members in the areas of programmes, partnerships, finance, administration, and operations.
The Intern will, among other things:- Support participant registration, verification, and record-keeping;
- coordinate travel arrangements and assist with reimbursement processes;
- communicate with participants and partners on logistics and requirements;
- maintain and update contact lists and participant information;
- assist with CRM data entry, tracking, and basic data management;
- help monitor payments, financial records, and supporting documentation;
- support event planning, including liaising with suppliers and ordering materials;
- contribute to participant communications and event-related content;
- provide on-site support during the conference (registration, logistics, coordination);

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the United Nations system’s designated entity for addressing environmental issues at the global and regional level. Its mandate is to coordinate the development of environmental policy consensus by keeping the global environment under review and bringing emerging issues to the attention of governments and the international community for action.
The purpose of this consultancy is to update and support the streamlined execution of the GEF ISLANDS programmatic Gender Equality Action Plan across all GEF ISLANDS regional child projects through the provision of technical guidance and expertise on inclusive planning and implementation. The GAP serves as a foundational element for the role that CCKM plays in providing cross-cutting support to the regional child projects and takes into account interlinkages with the activities executed by all their Executing Partners. - Reviewing the state of implementation of the existing ISLANDS Gender Equality Action Plan (established in 2022) and assessing its effectiveness in facilitating gender mainstreaming from local to global level within the ISLANDS programme, in consultation with ISLANDS regional child projects and teams.
- Revising the ISLANDS Gender Equality Action Plan based on progress achieved so far at both global and regional levels, taking into account gender analysis and any other gender-responsive activity conducted at regional level since projects inception, in consultations with ISLANDS regional child projects and teams, in particular their gender focal point / specialist whenever possible.
- Further supporting the establishment of gender focal points and/or specialists within regional child projects and teams, providing them with regular guidance, feedback and advice to ensure analysis, strategies, including stakeholder engagement strategies, activities and outputs (e.g. knowledge resources, communications materials), as well as management actions such as those related to recruitments (ToRs) are based on gender mainstreamning principles, gender-sensitive and responsive.
- Providing guidance and technical support to the regional child projects in the development and / or update and alignment of their regional gender action plan, as well as during implementation, including through a series of recommendations aligned with the GEF and UNEP’s policy.

- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in advancing gender mainstreaming in the design, implementation and monitoring of environmental technical assistance projects, in particular in relation to chemicals and waste management, is required.
- Strong grounding in gender analysis methodologies and proven track record of reviewing diverse types of documents (project documents, publications, communications materials) to ensure gender integration.
- Excellent project management skills (planning, timelines, risk management, coordination, stakeholder engagement) are required.

Health Sexual & reproductive rights (SRHR)The purpose of this consultancy is to provide high-level technical and strategic leadership in the implementation of the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) components of the UNFPA Nepal Country Programme. The consultant will provide policy and advocacy leadership to strengthen and advance national SRHR priorities, while promoting partnership, synergy, and strategic alliances with counterparts in government, multilateral and bilateral agencies, development partners, and civil society organizations. The consultant will facilitate innovative approaches to strengthening health systems, including quality improvement, institutional capacity development, and domestic financing and workforce strategies in the key priority areas including family planning, midwifery, maternal and newborn health, mental health, adolescent SRHR, and other emerging SRHR priorities.
The consultant will ensure strong integration and coherence across UNFPA programme areas, particularly adolescent and youth development, gender equality, and population and development. In addition, the consultant will ensure state of art technical support to federal, provincial, and local governments to enhance implementation of policies, programmes, and action plans, ensuring that equitable, accessible, and rights-based SRH services are available to women, men, adolescents, and marginalized populations when and where needed.
Qualifications and Experience
● Advanced university degree in public health, medicine, sociology, health systems, economics, or other field directly related to the substantive area identified in this job description.
● 7 years of professional experience, preferably in programme/project management in the public or private sector.
● Demonstrated ability to refine programme design to ensure alignment of programme objectives to national priorities and capacities.
● Strong track record of programme leadership, and proven ability to manage complex programmes/projects and produce demonstrable results, with shared visions and goals.
● Understanding human rights and gender equality dimensions of reproductive health is desirable.
● Strong negotiation, liaison, analytical and communication skills, including ability to produce high quality practical advisory reports and knowledge products. -
● Demonstrated ability to network within the development community.
