SUMMARY OF POSITION
Women Deliver is seeking an Advisor for its Brand and Narrative team to serve as a parental leave cover from 14 July 2025 to 13 February 2026.
This position plays a key role in advancing Women Deliver’s organizational goals and objectives through our brand and the narratives we help create and disseminate. The Advisor will work closely with the Director, Brand and Narrative, to help implement the tone, identity, and strategic direction of Women Deliver’s content across both owned and earned channels.
The ideal candidate will bring exceptionally strong writing and editing skills, along with a proven ability to collaborate across teams.
This role will report to the Director, Brand and Narrative.
Responsibilities:
Organizational Brand and Tone
• Assist with internal brand and tone implementation by creating and maintaining internal guides and documents.
• Work with the Director to ensure brand alignment and cohesion across all of Women Deliver’s external communications products and materials.
Content
• Serve as the lead author for Women Deliver’s priority, high-impact products and materials (annual reports, leadership thought pieces, institutional blogs).
• Edit and review all external content, including but not limited to website content, social media content, blogs, newsletter content, reports, and opinion pieces.
• Maintain Women Deliver’s editorial calendar for external content that reflects all owned and earned channels.
• Work closely with the Brand and Narrative Director and program teams to ensure that external content aligns with organizational strategy and helps further goals and priorities.
• Works with Brand and Narrative team to review and evaluate metrics and adjust content accordingly.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 6-8 years of relevant work experience.
• Exceptionally strong writing and editing skills for content across a wide range of platforms.
• Experience helping to create and maintain an organization’s brand and tone.
• Experience ideating and executing content that aligns with and further organizational goals and objectives.
• Proven ability to work with all team members at all levels to ideate, create, and edit content.
• A sharp eye for detail and compelling content.
• A keen sense of judgement, particularly for external tone and content on sensitive issues or topics.
• Substantive knowledge in the sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) or gender equality (or similar) space preferred.
• Commitment to fostering an anti-racist and inclusive workplace required.
