Specific Tasks
Policy and Advocacy (60%)- Conduct research as necessary on gender equality deficits and GBV in Kurdistan, and identify gaps in prevention and response
- Analyze relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, and track developments
- Examine international frameworks and best practices to inform approaches, adapting tools, resources, and guidance as necessary for the local context
- Consult with diverse protection actors to understand current processes and practices related to GBV prevention and response, and conduct capacity and/or needs assessments
- Conduct technical discussions with thematic experts and protection actors to enhance cross-organizational learning, harmonize tools and approaches, and standardize care
Coordination and Organizational Representation (15%)- Lead or participate in relevant sector coordination mechanisms and working groups, including the national Technology Facilitated GBV Task Force, Regional GBV Sector, and GBV Working Groups
- Represent SEED in coordination fora, with KRG and other stakeholders, and with donors
- Identify opportunities for collaboration, develop strategic partnerships, and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders
- Provide resources, information, and support to external audiences, as requested
Technical Leadership (25%)- Participate in program design and development to ensure that SEED’s GBV policy and advocacy work is responsive and calibrated for impact
- Support program monitoring and evaluation, including development of tools, to build strong feedback loops on GBV policy and advocacy interventions and facilitate course correction as needed
- Ensure proper documentation of GBV policy and advocacy activities and contribute to quality reporting
Essential criteria- Master’s Degree in social work, public policy, gender studies, psychology, law, international development, human rights, or another related field.
- At least five years of international development and/or humanitarian experience in GBV programming, including supervision of services and advocacy for improved legislative and policy protections.
- At least three years of experience working in a senior technical or programmatic role.
- Experience implementing donor-funded international development and/or humanitarian assistance programs.
- Familiarity and previous experience with the UN-led cluster coordination system, mechanisms, and tools.
- Direct and demonstrable experience working with government actors to achieve institutional change.
- Strong belief in gender equality and human rights.
- Strong people and project management skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Good interpersonal, communication, time management and team-building skills.
- High standard of spoken and written English, with Arabic and/or Kurdish a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee all gender, social inclusion, and safeguard elements of the global coordination project, including finalizing and overseeing the implementation of gender & safeguard plans: Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Accountability & Grievance Mechanism, and Gender Mainstreaming Plan.
- Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise on gender mainstreaming strategies to ensure that program interventions are gender-responsive and aiming for transformative.
- Facilitate coordination and learning across the Program (GCP + child projects) that focuses on shared challenges, lessons learned, successes, monitoring, and communication about the importance of GESI/SG in realizing effective restoration. This will include frequent exchanges among child projects in different forms (e.g., virtual working group)
- Provide GESI/SG technical guidance to the design of all GCP capacity-building programs and training materials, including specific GESI/SG modules focused on restoration financing, ecosystem restoration, restoration planning, etc. This will include gathering and assessing feedback from a range of stakeholders about their capacity, needs, and interests for GESI/SG in restoration contexts.
- Operate the global coordination project’s Accountability & Grievance Mechanism, including intake and coordinated response to any feedback or eligible grievances.
- Work with country projects and partners to integrate GESI/SG considerations into the Program’s Restoration Diagnostic Tool.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field, such as international development or social sciences.
- 5 to 7 years of experience working with project and program design, monitoring, and compliance of public or private donor-funded projects in the area of environment, conservation, and/or development or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track records with gender-responsive programming, including proficient design and successful implementation of gender action plans, preferably in the conservation/restoration context.
- Knowledge and demonstrated minimum three years of experience in designing, applying, and monitoring environment and social safeguards (stakeholder engagement, gender/GESI mainstreaming, grievance mechanism)
- Strong understanding of the social risks and impacts, particularly the inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized peoples, gender equality, Indigenous peoples, benefit-sharing, conflict, and grievance redress in the context of restoration.

Peace and SecurityThe Events Manager will lead the development and execution of the Institute’s events to sharpen and expand the Institute’s impact. Key Accountabilities
Strategic Development
Work closely with the IRC’s Frameworks and Global Awards team (Irish Aid) to provide technical guidance and strategic direction to the Irish Aid GBV Strategic Partnership.

Program Implementation & Technical Assistance
Implement the Irish Aid GBV Strategic Partnership learning activities (Pillar 4), including:
Lead the organization and facilitation of the annual WPE learning forum which engages 100 WPE and VPRU teams and partners from 45 countries.
Capture learning from the forum to produce and disseminate the WPE learning brief each year in English, French, Arabic and Spanish.
Provide technical guidance and quality assurance across all pillars of the partnership:
Lead a community of practice for WPE technical teams and partners in Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan, together with regional WPE Technical Advisors, to promote quality programming and partnership within the Strategic Partnership (Pillar 1).
Review all emergency response requests, proposals, and reports together with the EHAU VPRiE STA (Pillar 2).
Business DevelopmentWork closely with the IRC’s Frameworks and Global Awards team (Irish Aid) to deliver a high-quality design for the next phase of the Strategic Partnership from 2025-2027.
Lead the technical design process for the next phase of the partnership engaging WPE pillar leads and partners in country programs, emergency response, Partnerships and policy teams.
Work with VPRU WPE technical advisors and the MEL team to create a monitoring, evaluation and learning framework for the next phase of the strategic partnership.
Support the Frameworks and Global Awards team in communication with Irish Aid related to the continuing partnership.

Requisitos y competencias para trabajar con nosotros- Licenciatura/grado/título de abogada/e, con cumplimiento de los requisitos de admisión para ejercer la abogacía en Colombia.
- Mínimo 3 años de experiencia profesional en género y derechos de la mujer; justicia racial; derecho internacional y/o derechos humanos.
- Tener conocimiento y experiencia previa trabajando y del litigio con/dentro de los órganos del Sistema Interamericano de Derecho Humanos y/o de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos.
- Deseable experiencia profesional en el trabajo con mujeres víctimas de discriminación y violencia de género.
- Capacidad de investigación jurídica y de análisis del contexto.

Movement buildingThe Annual Fund Manager is responsible for the strategic development and management of an effective annual giving program. Under the direction of the Director of Development Operations and in collaboration with the Individual Philanthropy and Brand and Culture teams, the Annual Fund Manager leads the annual giving strategy by identifying funding sources for renewed, increased, and new support, as well as develops and implements strategies for annual giving identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. This position requires significant experience in project management, donor segmentation, tracking and understanding data performance analytics, and strategy development.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead the strategic vision of all annual giving work to develop a solid and scalable annual giving program that raises increased funds, year-after-year.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan of action with objectives, timelines, and evaluation plans for the annual giving program to retain, upgrade, and acquire new annual fund donors through the building of thoughtful cultivation materials, solicitations, meaningful stewardship, and creative engagement communications and activities.
- Lead all annual fund donor communications and solicitation programs including:
- Designing and growing a direct mail program in coordination and collaboration with the Brand and Culture Team.
- Coordinate all aspects of the program to meet fundraising goals, maintain a healthy portfolio of active donors, and build a donor pipeline for mid and major gifts.
- Building comprehensive plan to grow revenue of online only donors through digital marketing, stewardship and engagement initiatives.
- Leading a robust monthly giving program.
- Maintain a personal portfolio of donors from whom personal solicitations will be made with the intention of upgrading these donors to the mid-level portfolio.
- Create and monitor yearly annual giving goals including retention, upgrades, and acquisitions. Review monthly to ensure goals are being met, revising goals with the Director as necessary.
- Develop and oversee annual giving budget to ensure appropriate use of resources.
- Perform any other duties as assigned towards meeting team and organizational goals.
KEY SKILLS/WAYS OF DOING- Minimum of 7 years professional experience in non-profit fundraising with at least 5 years in annual fund programs.
- Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships over time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills: can articulate complex themes for multiple audiences/settings (different types of source and movement partners as well as peer organizations); able to present complex ideas and programs in a pragmatic, compelling manner.
- Ability to influence philanthropy and lead donor education efforts while bringing in and retaining donors.
- Ability to collect, organize and analyze data related to donor giving
- Well versed in direct mail and digital solicitation best practices and implementation
- Understand and embrace feminist, community-centric funding/fundraising principles.

For those who don't know, The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people. We are a non-profit that provides 24/7 life-saving support via phone, text, and chat. We also operate the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth and run innovative research, education, and advocacy programs.
Our On Call Consults (OCCs) are available by phone for crisis services staff to consult on high and imminent risk situations and approve active interventions. OCCs are required to complete mandatory training and attend meetings once a quarter, as needed. OCCs are required to have an advanced degree in a mental health field and/or a valid medical/social work/psychology (or equivalent) license. Someone with an LLC or equivalent is preferred. We are looking for a collaborative individual who has experience in crisis situations and is committed to LGBTQ+ competency.
Our current opening in the schedule is as follows:
- Sunday to Thursday: 6:30pm-11:00pm PT /9:30pm-2:00am ET
- Friday and Saturday: 2:30pm-11:00pm PT / 5:30pm-2:00am ET
- Shift rotation: Every 4 weeks, which equates to about one week a month being on call.
- Our other external OCCs are available for shift swaps when needed, providing flexibility to accommodate schedules when necessary.
