ABA ROLI's Strategic Programs Division has an opportunity for a paid intern to support the division’s women’s economic security and rule of law programs through research, social media material development, and analysis of project performance and rule of law across several project countries (e.g., Guatemala, Mexico, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste). The intern will work with the Strategic Program Division’s DC-based and field staff and have opportunities to participate in meetings and learning sessions with other ROLI divisions. Research assignments will focus on current programming and funding opportunities in areas such as human rights, gender equity, women’s economic empowerment, criminal law, and access to justice.Paid Interns will gain valuable experience while contributing to the important work of the ABA. The internship program is structured for the primary benefit of the intern and provides the intern with meaningful training/experience and educational benefits.

- USAID requires that candidates have at least 10 years of experience managing gender and age issues, food and nutrition security programming and org learning in a variety of contexts.
- At least five years experience directly supporting gender and/or age activities. Strong knowledge and experience with integrating gender equality and the Positive Youth Development approach and framework into programming.
- Experience with food and nutrition security programming, notably those of BHA and its requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with donor agencies, and USAID in particular at senior levels
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically in difficult environments, and negotiate solutions
- Demonstrated ability to function productively within a consortium.

The opportunity
The Women's Budget Group Is looking for an intern to join our small and friendly communications team for three months from December 2024 or January 2025. You will gain communications experience and have an opportunity to grow our stakeholder networks through desk research and relationship building. You will also have opportunities to support WGB's events and training sessions and contribute to blogs, briefings and other publications.
You will have the opportunity to learn about working in an organisation that produces robust analysis that aims to influence the people making policy. We also work by building the knowledge and confidence of others to talk about feminist economics by offering training and creating accessible resources.
We are looking for someone who is committed to our aims and values, with a reasonable level of competency using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook. But we want to provide an opportunity to someone who wouldn't necessarily have the opportunity of internships without compensation, so we don't expect you to have had previous internship or work experience.
This internship is an opportunity for someone who is looking to develop a career in this sector to have an insight into how we work and gain some relevant work experience. We will provide a laptop and other working equipment.

The Comms team here at ReportOUT play a vital role in highlighting the important and valuable work of our major Human Rights Reports, as well as raising awareness of events, articles and major developments relating to the organisation. Objective of the Feminist Knowledge Leadership Program

Position Overview The Feminist Knowledge Leadership Programme Intern will support the knowledge leadership programme to ensure that documentation, learning, research and information management projects (ongoing and new) are timely executed. The candidate reports directly to the Knowledge Leadership Senior Programme Manager.
Specific Responsibilities
• Provide logistical support in organising physical and online meetings;
• Respond to queries from different partners in consultation with the Supervisor;
• Collect and upload data collection forms from Registry partners;
• Support any other pieces of work as needed. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in womn’s studies, social sciences or related fields.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and French are mandatory. Arabic or Portuguese language skills are an added advantage.
• Previous research experience focusing on womn’s rights, human rights or social justice issues generally is an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resource Mobilization
- The ED proactively raises funds for CARE's country, regional, and global advocacy working closely with the resource development team and VP/USPPA. The global advocacy budget is approximately $3M annually currently, with plans to grow to $5M+.
Strategy, Planning and MEAL
- The ED leads the global advocacy team's annual and quarterly planning cycles, and supports the lead advocates in being focused and strategic in pursuing their goals.
- The ED ensures that country offices and advocacy leads are completing advocacy impact evaluation tools to capture wins, and that regular impact evaluations are being conducting for highly impactful wins.
- The ED also participates in organization- and confederation-wide strategic planning processes.

Personnel and financial management

- The ED acts as a senior organizational representative, as needed, in country, regional, and global forums. The ED may be the lead representative for CARE with coalitions, multi-stakeholder groups, and in high-level political forums.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree in a relevant field.
- Outstanding oral and written communications abilities in English; fluency in French or Spanish is highly desired.
- At least 10+ years of experience conducting (preferably leading) successful advocacy at the country, regional and/or global levels. Both country- and global-level advocacy experience is highly desired.
- At least 7+ years of experience leading senior staff teams to high performance and impact. Proven track record of strong personnel and financial management
