What you will be doing
The Project
The Generations and Gender Programme is a cross-national research infrastructure for high quality, open-access data about population and family dynamics. The main component is the Generations & Gender Survey (GGS) – a unique longitudinal data source on families and people’s life courses across different countries. Currently, new data is being collected in several European, Asian, and South-American countries.The headquarter of the GGP is located at the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI) in the center of The Hague. It is responsible for the day-to-day management of the GGP, which includes implementing the governance of the GGP, providing support to national teams in collecting GGS data, and processing the collected data for release to the scientific community.The position
This position of GGP junior researcher is an entry-level position for those starting their (academic) career journey. The main tasks will be to assist with the daily operations of the GGP headquarter and work with the newly collected GGS data. This will include:
• assisting with fieldwork preparations (e.g., coding and testing the survey questionnaire,
helping monitor the fieldwork)
• processing the newly collected survey data in Stata and R, and further developing
procedures for checking the data quality;
• developing products for facilitating and promoting the use of GGS data (e.g., creating
user-friendly Stata syntax and variables);
• demonstrating the use and impact of the data to various stakeholders;
• supporting the work of the Central Hub as needed.
What you will be bringing
As our new team member in the GGP headquarter, you will bring a dynamic and adaptable mindset, ready to tackle changing priorities with ease. Your keen eye for detail and reliable organizational skills will ensure that tasks are managed efficiently and accurately.You recently completed a Research Master’s in Sociology, Demography, or a relevant discipline and have a particular interest in empirical work. You possess good knowledge of Stata or R and (ideally) have experience working with large-scale longitudinal survey data, such as GGS or SHARE. Your strong technical affinity allows you to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools and technologies. Familiarity with GIT is a plus. Programme Description
Migration Programme (Migrants United and Act for Human Rights – MUAH) aims to ensure women migrants enjoy human rights and are able to make informed and choices about migration. The Migration Programme focuses on increasing capacities, voices and leadership of women migrants by conducting feminist organising training, Feminist Participatory Action Research (FPAR), strategic advocacy and supporting networks for collective migrants movement building.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Attend regular meetings and maintain regular communication with the Migration Programme team.
Support the Migration Programme team in logistics and coordination for activities, training and meetings planned for the duration of the internship.
Substantively support data collection, analysis and writing that is required for the Migration programme.
Provide logistics and coordination assistance to the Migration programme team by supporting in organising meetings, providing documentation support by taking notes, transcribing and categorising online documents, scheduling meeting invites and providing online technical support during online meetings.
Selection Criteria
This internship is suitable for students and young professionals with a background in and/or interest to work with and be involved in women’s human rights issues on a regional level. The role is also suitable for those who wish to gain a conceptual understanding of how women’s human rights issues intersect with different forms of oppression specifically in Asia and the Pacific.
Applicants who have obtained or are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in law, gender studies, social sciences, or a related field; and activists or development practitioners with a background and involvement in human rights and/or women’s movements, are both eligible to apply.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. The intern is required to have strong communication skills and should be able to handle coordination and communication with various people.
Demonstrable ability to work within a diverse, multicultural team in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to flexibly adapt to changes in real time, and prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Knowledge and/or experience with event organisation or logistics is an asset.
Experience in working with women’s rights organisations, migrant’s rights/migrants-led organisations and movements, in both a professional and voluntary capacity is an asset.
Must be able to commit to taking up an internship for six (6) months.

The Gender and Human Rights Programme Advisor is located in the Arab States Regional Office of UNFPA, in Cairo, Egypt, and is under the overall supervision of the Regional Director and reports directly to the Deputy Regional Director. It will promote locally led inclusive adaptation to climate change through 180 women-led climate resilience committees (WCRC) covering 540 communities in the three Hill Districts of CHT. The WCRCs will be capacitated on nature-based solutions (NbS) to climate change adaptation, climate resilient agriculture and livelihoods practices, climate change vulnerability assessments (CCVAs), local resilience plans (LRPs) and the development and implementation of prioritized actions stemming from the LRPs. The LRPs will be supported through community grants whereas the 13,500 vulnerable households (women only) will be given livelihood grants to implement climate-adaptive livelihood options (CALO).
Local Union Parishads and local leaders will be capacitated on climate change, CCVAs, LRPs, NbS and monitoring so they can play key role in monitoring, planning and implementation. The project will strengthen collaboration and partnerships between national government institutions and civil society organizations, leading to the implementation of locally led approaches in a wider range of regions and communities.
The Gender Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring gender equality outcomes in CoRLIA and similar components of ERRD Project. S/he will also be responsible for program design and implementation; providing technical support focusing on gender equality to the programme staffs and project beneficiaries; will closely work with the local implementing partners, Hilll District Councils and partner NGOs for coordination, monitoring progress, ensuring quality achievements and results of the program. S/he will be engaged in capacity building of partners and UNDP staffs on stratetizing gender equality, capture case studies and prepare different reports highlighting gender equality. S/he will represent UNDPs values and mandate and uphold it.
The Gender Analyst will be responsible for carrying out gender analysis, formulation of gender action plan, gender equality strategies for CoRLIA and similar components under the close guidance of Gender and Community Cohesion Analyst. S/he will be strongly engaged in coordinating, liaising, planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting in an efficient manner. The incumbent is expected to perform the following tasks.Required Skills and Experience- Advanced University Degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Gender Studies, Development Studies, or any other related discipline is required. Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities
Financial Operations and Management Support
• Preparation of payment vouchers upon validation of underlying documents.

Gender-based violence (GBV) LGBTQI+ rights/ SOGIESCJOB PURPOSE
CHEVS is co-implementing a transformative "Safe to be Me” project - a 3-year VAWG prevention program for diverse women and girls in Nigeria. The intervention will aim to address both IPV and non-partner sexual violence, especially sexual harassment at the University of Lagos in Nigeria, targeting the university administration, lecturers, non-teaching staff, students, including LBT persons and their partners in schools and out of school. The project aims to strengthen community resilience by addressing key barriers facing LBT persons, such as invisibility and exclusion within the broader priority agenda setting in research, policy formulation, and mobilisation within the women's rights and LGBTI spaces around VAWG prevention and response programming in Nigeria.
The primary objective of this project is to shift harmful norms, values, beliefs, behaviours and attitudes towards positive norms on gender and gender relations, contributing to a university environment where diverse girls and young women experience less violence and where LBT students experience less societal shame and abuse. The Project Officer - Violence Prevention will co-lead and represent CHEVS in planning, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing the Safe To Be Me project in Lagos State.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead the day-to-day implementation of the VAWG prevention programme in the selected tertiary institution in Lagos State.
● Co-facilitate awareness campaigns on IPV and non-IPV violence affecting LBQT persons.
● Engage in the co-development of VCAT curriculum and other project-related resource materials.
● Co-facilitate the planning, coordinating, and implementing project-related workshops, events, and other activities, ensuring quality, relevance, and impact.
● Build and manage partnerships with campus authorities, student associations, LBQT organisations, and service providers.
● Coordinate regular update and maintenance of project-related databases.
● Facilitate engagements with the LBT community in Lagos State.

The DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) Social Protection, Inclusion and Gender Equality (SPRING) program is Australia’s flagship investment of support to the Philippine Government on Social Protection, Gender Equality, Disability, Social Inclusion and Indigenous Inclusion. It is an AUD 40 million investment over 5 years that will support the joint Development Partnership Plan (DPP 2024-2029) between the Government of Australia and the Philippine Government.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Overarching- Work closely with the Team Leader (TL), Deputy Team Leader (DTL), DFAT and the Government of Philippines in overall design and implementation of the program especially on Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion priorities and support the Philippine Government agencies to strengthen partnership on gender equality, social and disability inclusion.
Gender Equality- Conduct review, synthesis and dissemination of global and country-specific learning on gender equality, women’s empowerment and women in leadership issues.
Disability Inclusion:- Support Disability Inclusion Partner – CBM – in their development and implementation of the SPRING Disability Inclusion Strategy, to cover both: 1) activities to ensure disability inclusion within the broader SPRING program, and 2) a specific strategic approach to EOPO4 (“The Philippine Government improves data, systems and targeting to enable people with disability and Indigenous Peoples improved access to targeted services.”)
Indigenous Inclusion:- Work with SPRING Sub National Activity Lead to support the development and implementation of a SPRING Indigenous Participation Plan, and to develop and implement the strategic approach to EOPO4 (“The Philippine Government improves data, systems and targeting to enable people with disability and Indigenous Peoples improved access to targeted services.”)
Social protection- Work with the Social Protection National Lead and Sub National Activity Lead to develop GEDSI-responsive social protection strategies, local government support strategies, and implementation workplans.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The GEDSI Lead will have the following skills, knowledge, and experience:- Experience in gender equality, disability inclusion, gender-based violence, gender-responsive planning and budgeting, and/or women’s empowerment, preferably with a background in international development, government work, and/or humanitarian action (minimum 10+ years).
- Higher level qualifications in gender studies, public health, international development, social sciences, or another relevant field.
- Understanding of DFAT’s good practice on gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) approaches in targeted reforms (Gender equality | Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade), Do No Harm, and gender and social inclusion mainstreaming which will also be applied in all partnerships will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership experience as well as ability to effectively deliver on competing priorities and supporting multiple teams.
- Advisory experience in disability inclusion, gender equality and social inclusion including working with Indigenous People.
