- Lead or contribute to organising advocacy missions to Geneva by WILPF Sections and Groups, as well as partners as relevant. This includes, but is not limited to, setting up meetings and private briefings with state representatives and UN actors.
Human Rights Programme Management- Lead recruitment, coaching, and mentoring of HRP staff, interns, and consultants, fostering empathy and building strong relationships within the team and across the IS.
- Support the team’s growth by providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback, and help manage workloads effectively.
- Coordinate HRP’s implementation of the International Programme (IP), including the development of annual workplans and strategies aligned with the IP.
Qualifications and Experience- A graduate-level degree in gender studies, human rights, international law, international relations, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of ten years of relevant work experience, of which at least seven are in advocacy with UN human rights mechanisms, ideally with a focus on gender, non-discrimination, and/or peace and security issues.
- A keen interest and commitment to WILPF’s values and mission, with a demonstrated commitment to human rights, feminist values and intersectional feminism.
- Demonstrated understanding of diverse forms and realities of feminist movement organising locally and globally, especially in a diverse membership-based and volunteer-based organisations.
- Excellent practical knowledge of international human rights frameworks and mechanisms, especially the UN Human Rights Council, the treaty monitoring bodies, the Universal Periodic Review, and UN Special Procedures.
- Knowledge and experience of advocacy work at the intersection of human rights, gender issues, and the Women, Peace and Security agenda is desirable.
- Fluency in English is required. Fluency in French or Spanish is required;

We are looking for candidates with the following profiles to join our Surge Response Roster:
GBV programme specialist to oversee the implementation of UNFPA’s GBV programming in a humanitarian emergency. UNFPA’s GBV programming in humanitarian emergencies is multi-sectoral and involves implementing partners and other stakeholders from the affected communities, such as NGO and government, UN agencies, and other national and international organizations that engage in comprehensive prevention and response initiatives in line with a survivors-centered approach.
GBV coordinator to systematize prevention and response interventions within the humanitarian architecture coordination mechanisms, such as GBV Sub-Sector/Cluster and GBV working groups. In cluster countries, the GBV coordinator leads the inter-agency GBV prevention and response efforts, with a focus on facilitating service delivery, informing strategic decision-making, planning and analysis, advocacy, monitoring and supporting contingency and preparedness capacities. In IDP and mixed settings, the GBV Coordinator represents the GBV Area of Responsibility (GBV AoR) and works closely with the Protection Cluster and the Child Protection AoR in addition to other clusters in the area of risk mitigation and GBV integration across the humanitarian system. In refugee settings, UNHCR leads all sector responses, while UNFPA is often asked to co-chair GBV prevention and response. While accountabilities and structures are different, GBV AoR standards and resources are applicable in all humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Compassionate and committed individuals with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with graduate degree (equivalent of a Masters)
- Experience in management and/or coordination of multi-sectoral GBV prevention and response programmes in emergencies
- Demonstrated understanding of survivor-centered approach, with experience promoting and integrating gender analysis into humanitarian programming
- Strong technical skills and expertise in your field.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and thrive in high-pressure settings.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a strong advantage.

About the role
The Programme Coordinator will provide strategic leadership, coordination, and oversight for all activities aimed at improving youth participation in governance, accountability and decision-making processes that will lead to improved youth-responsive governance and service delivery in Uganda. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on initiatives that build the knowledge, skills, and awareness of youth to meaningfully engage in governance, policy advocacy, and decision-making processes.
The Coordinator will lead the design and delivery of capacity-building interventions, oversee the co-creation and dissemination of civic information materials, and facilitate the establishment of youth-led platforms for civic engagement and reporting on the results realised by the project. Working closely with implementing partners, youth structures, and stakeholders, the Coordinator will ensure that all project activities are delivered to a high standard, are youth-led, and effectively contribute to inclusive and accountable governance in the region.
Skills and experience
Graduate-level Degree in the relevant field of study (Environment, Climate, Advocacy, Social work, social sciences, development studies) or equivalent work experience.
Post-graduate in Project Planning and Management is an added advantage.
Past work experience in governance and accountability work, youth leadership and meaningful youth engagement.
Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and manage local/national/regional partnerships.
Ability to analyse problems and make sound operational decisions.

Deliverables:
• To guide and oversee an effective project management system and approach that provides for appropriate standardisation, supports the Secretariat and Member Associations in implementing best practices, and allows for clear responsibility, accountability, and performance of projects funded through primarily restricted and earmarked sources.
• To ensure effective systems and processes are in place to manage and monitor compliance with donor agreements and contracts. This will include pre-agreement assessments in relation to risk and ensuring appropriate levels of oversight and accountability are in place. On occasions, the same will be applied to complex unrestricted funding, where it is critical to incorporate.
• To facilitate the strengthening of programme integration and alignment with IPPF Strategy across the project portfolio.
• To coordinate a regular Project Review process at Secretariat level to ensure effective project portfolio oversight.
• To assist with donor reviews and evaluations.
• To develop, maintain and disseminate tools, guidelines, systems and processes to support IPPF’s successful delivery of projects.
• To ensure opportunities for knowledge sharing, learning, and reflection on improvements, both financially and programmatically, across projects to improve performance and restricted funding capacity.
Skills and experience:
• Excellent project management skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent and proven analytical skills - both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to influence and persuade others.
• Excellent written communication skills required to produce a range of documents e.g. guidelines/toolkits. Good people management skills to manage staff, consultants and interns.
• Strong organisational and time management skills required to multitask and to meet tight deadlines. Ability to balance priorities.

Technical expertise:
• A qualification in the field of economics/health economics, international development or social sciences. (desirable)

1. Strategies and Planning

7. Documentation
- Lead management of up-to-date donor related information and documents – proposals sent, approved, budgets, contracts, progress reports etc.
- Managing the master list of supplementary documents to minimise turnaround time when these are needed for other proposals etc.
8. Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in international development, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience in partnership development, resource mobilization, fundraising, or related fields, preferably in the non-profit sector, Human/Women rights’ organization.
- Proven track record of successfully securing funding from diverse sources, including government agencies, foundations, and private donors.
- Extensive experience with donor regulations and compliance requirements, including experience with grant writing and reporting.
- Experience in building, maintaining, and managing relationships with strategic partners, preferably multilaterals, governmental institutions, and non-profit organizations.
- Demonstrable experience of leading, supporting, and monitoring large, multi-country, bilateral, multilateral, private sector, and philanthropic projects and partnerships.

Duties:

You will build on the success of the previous EPEV programme cycle, which ran between 2021-2024. ABOUT THE ROLEThe Programme Co-ordinator will work alongside similar post-holders at Disability Wales, EYST and Stonewall Cymru, and will support WEN’s Programmes Manager to deliver the Equal Power Equal Voice programme in partnership. You will lead on recruiting and supporting the cohort of approximately 25 pairs of mentees and mentors from your organisation. You will support the Programmes Manager in delivering all events within the programme and will attend events online and in person across Wales, and approximately once a year in London.
With a proven track record of delivering projects, you will be dynamic, organised, a good communicator and able to connect people to help them achieve their goals. You will be extremely motivated, able to work on your own initiative and be ready to join a high-performing yet fun and supportive team who are all committed to equality.

The Women Human Rights Defenders International Coalition (WHRD-IC) is a transnational, intersectional feminist coalition of women human rights defenders, feminists, trans and non-binary activists and organisations, and their allies. Purpose of consultancy:
The WHRD-IC is seeking a Resource Mobilisation consultant to lead its resource mobilisation activities, including donor mapping, donor relationship building, strengthening resource mobilisation strategies and supporting with proposal writing.
Scope of work:
Donor mapping
- Identify key and prospective funders aligned with WHRD-IC’s 2025-2030 Strategic Framework
- Explore potential funding opportunities that match the WHRD-IC’s global, regional and local work, values and ethics
- Organise and share insights on funders, funding priorities and opportunities with the Resource Mobilisation Working Group
- Track and maintain donor contacts, correspondence, meetings and funding prospects
Donor relationship building
- Ensure the development, maintenance and strengthening of quality relationships with existing, and prospective donors
- As necessary, represent WHRD-IC in virtual and in-person meetings with donors
- As necessary, engage with partners that can support the WHRD-IC resource mobilisation efforts
Strengthening and strategic support
- Provide guidance on proposal development, ensuring compliance with funder requirements
- Advise on best practices and strategies for sustainable resource mobilisation
- Support decision making on WHRD-IC resource mobilisation ethics
Organisational processes
- As necessary, participate in coordination meetings with the WHRD-IC Executive Coordinator, Resource Mobilisation Working Group and Executive Committee

Essential knowledge and skills
- More than five years of experience in resource mobilisation within a non-profit, gender justice, human rights and/or funding organisation
- Excellent donor and funder management skills
- Well versed with the current funding landscape for women’s rights, gender equality and justice, and its diversity, including characteristics of different funding sectors
- Established relationships both with key donors for women’s rights, gender equality and justice, and international and/or regional feminist and women’s rights organisations and networks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Strong attention to detail.
