Gender-based violence (GBV)
Strategic Communications and Content Development
● Carry out an assessment of Huquqyat’s current brand positioning, website, social media channels, and other materials
● Based on the assessment and input from Huquqyat’s team, develop Communications Strategy for the next three years.
● Lead on development of new communications activities aimed at expanding digital reach and engagement.
● Provide technical advice, update and support the implementation of the Communications Strategy;
● With the oversight of the Huquqyat’s team, develop a Communications Toolkit consisting of social media templates, guidelines, logo usage, branding, marketing, and media outreach;
● Leading on development of a monitoring system for communications activities.
 
Social Media Management
● Design and implement a social media strategy to increase audience volume and engagement with social media accounts.
● Ensure regular updates with quality content showcasing members achievements, generating traffic, engagement andincreasing followers;
● As part of this strategy, design and deliver online communications campaigns, including for priority issues and themes, Event/s, and other activities such as events and publications,
● Maintaining social media accounts and explore the creation of new strategic accounts.
 
Website Management
● Design and implement a web content management strategy that increases audience traffic and engagement with the public facing website.
● Ensure regular upadates with quality, creative multimedia content including new member profiles, press releases, videos, events, reports, blogs, briefs.
● Ensure website backend maintenance;
 
Events
● Prepare communication package for Huquqyat’s Annual Convening, communications advice and support, including thorough outreach communications in the run-up and post-event; and generating media coverage of the event.
● Provide media and communications support to additional global, regional and national advocacy events including press releases, media engagement, social media campaigns, and outreach communications pre-and post-event.
 
Experience and skills 
Essential
● Experience in communications, including developing and/or implementing a wide-ranging communications strategy.
● Excellent written communication and editing skills, particularly conveying legal or technical information for diverse audiences.
● Ability to produce inspiring and engaging content.
● Experience of design software, such as InDesign and/or Adobe Illustrator.
● High level of IT competency, including with Wordpress, database or CRM systems.
● Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written)
● Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships with various of stakeholders across cultures.
● Self-motivated, self-disciplined, ability to work with autonomy, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
● Ability to collaborate with advocacy and other colleagues to ensure consistent messaging.
 
Desirable
● Relevant qualification in communications or relevant field.
● Previous experience working in the Syrian context and understanding of the challenges of carrying out advocacy activities in said context
