POSITION SUMMARY
We are searching for a highly qualified project manager to help us maintain our position as effective grant and program implementer for Equality Now's campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience in mapping and executing projects, and strong skills in overseeing work plans and budgets. The project manager will also prepare and present updates regularly to relevant management channels, ensuring that our goal of compliance and effective implementation of programs is being achieved.

ROLE OBJECTIVES
Throughout the project lifecycle, the project manager is responsible for:
  • Support efficient implementation of grants through tracking of workplans and budgets once established at the beginning of each calendar year
  • Working closely with Global Budgets and Reporting Analyst and program team members, implementing the designed activities and handling the day to day project budget and reporting monthly variances
  • Support project implementation from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk identification and  mitigation
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary escalate to Senior Legal Advisor and Regional -Coordinator  to work with program team and budget analyst to revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant internal stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes; communicate project progress to stakeholders and leadership when necessary

RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Structure and manage integrated, multitrack performance databases/dashboards within project management tool 
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
  • Responsible for campaign tracking and liaising with MEKI and Fund Development  teams to ensure our compliance with donor requirements
  • Tracking of work plans and budgets with a view to ensuring the Regional Coordinator and the Senior Legal Advisor are fully and regularly upraised on the timely implementation of projects and campaigns 
  • Provide support to the Regional Coordinator and Senior Legal Advisor in the discharge of their responsibilities by liaising between the program, finance and communication teams and managing the flow of information internally and externally.
  • Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the assigned programmes and campaigns, monitor and analyze programme development and implementation.
  • Review relevant documents and reports, identify problems and issues to be addressed and propose corrective actions 
  • Research, analyze and present information gathered from diverse sources to inform internal and external engagements  for the RC and SLA
  • Provide substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences including preparation of documents.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of events and trends relating to the two campaigns

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Four or more years of project management experience
  • Great attention to detail and ability to multi-task and deliver in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience in using web technologies and software platforms
  • Competency in accounting and budget management
