Sexual & reproductive rights (SRHR)
Health
Program Development and Management:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of SRHR programs and projects in line with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Develop detailed project work plans, budgets, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Collaborate with other CREAW’s programs, partners, stakeholders, and experts to position CREAW’s SRHR activities and ensure program effectiveness.
3. Contribute to CREAW’s resource mobilization activities with regards to SRHR.
4. Provide management reports and bear overall responsibility for compiling and submitting donor reports.
5. Develop learning briefs and support relevant CREAW departments to conduct technical research on emerging SRHR issues faced by women and girls in Kenya.
- Identify and position CREAW in strategic networking spaces nationally, regionally and Internationally around advancement of SRHR for women and girls.
- Promote accountability, communicate expectations, and provide constructive feedback through regular one-on-one and performance reviews.
6. Manage and track project budget lines, ensuring compliance and timely reporting
Advocacy and Policy Influence:
Advocacy and Policy Influence:
- Stay updated on national and international SRHR policies, guidelines, and best practices.
- Advocate for policy changes and reforms that promote SRHR and gender equality.
- Build strategic partnerships with governmental and non-governmental entities.
Capacity Building:
- Organize training sessions and workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of CREAW staff and community members on SRHR issues.
- Provide technical support to project teams and partners on SRHR
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- In coordination with MEARL team, develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to track program progress to ensure program quality and impact.
- Prepare regular reports and analyse data to measure program impact and identify areas for improvement.
Resource Mobilization:
- Support fundraising efforts by preparing grant proposals, donor reports, and donor engagement.
- Identify potential funding opportunities and partnerships for SRHR programs.
Gender Mainstreaming:
- Integrate a gender perspective into all aspects of SRHR program planning and implementation.
- Promote women’s and girls’ meaningful participation and leadership in SRHR initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Gender Studies, International Development, or a health related field.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in SRHR program management, social behaviour change, social accountability in SRH programs advocacy, and policy.
3. Strong understanding of women’s rights, gender equality, and SRHR issues.
4. Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
5. Proficiency in data analysis, monitoring and evaluation techniques.
6. Excellent communication and networking skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Familiarity with donor requirements and grant management is a plus.
