Health Human rights Leadership / governance Movement building Sexual & reproductive rights (SRHR)
The Pleasure Project is the world’s leading organisation putting the sexy into safer sex since 2004.
We are a small location-neutral team with global reach, building a pleasure based sexual health ecosystem of Pleasure Fellows, experts and more than 70 partner organisations in our Community of Pleasure Practice to reach our joint vision of pleasure based sexual health.

What We Do
The Pleasure Project is an international education and advocacy organisation shifting the paradigm to make pleasure inclusive sexual health the norm not the unusual. We build bridges between public health and the pleasure and sex industries, develop the evidence base for a sex-positive and pleasure- based approach to sexual health and rights, focusing on arguably the key reason people have sex – the pursuit of pleasure - and promote agency by centring “good sex”, pleasure and diverse desires.

Role of the Advisory Committee
The Advisory Committee provides independent advice, expertise and constructive challenge. It has no statutory, fiduciary or decision-making authority. Responsibility for governance and organisational decisions remains with The Pleasure Project.
The Advisory Committee will:
• Share expertise on transformational governance, organisational development and feminist leadership models.
• Provide insights on systems change, movement building and institutional transformation.
• Advise on regional hub development and distributed organisational structures.
• Provide strategic advice on policy advocacy and influencing opportunities.
• Support efforts to increase The Pleasure Project's global visibility, reach and influence.
• Identify emerging opportunities, funding, partnerships, and innovations relevant to The Pleasure Project's mission.
• Advise on risks, challenges and opportunities facing the organisation and the wider field.
• Encourage innovative thinking and constructive challenge.
• Act as ambassadors and connectors where appropriate.

Expertise we are seeking in the Advisory Committee
For this three-year term, we are looking specifically for members with expertise in:
1. Feminist transformational governance, and leadership models that foster cultures of care, shared power, accountability, intersectionality, and climate justice.
2. Policy advocacy, influencing and strategic engagement, including shaping public discourse, partnerships and systems change.
3. Movement building, network strengthening and hub development, with experience supporting locally led leadership and collaborative ecosystems.
4. FemTech, sexual wellness and private sector innovation, including experience across product development (e.g., sex toys, contraception, dating platforms), entrepreneurship and emerging ecosystems.
5. Resource mobilisation, philanthropy, and strategic partnerships, including innovative approaches to funding, collaboration, and long-term sustainability.
While not essential, experience or lived experience in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender justice, pleasure-positive approaches, and human rights would be valuable.
