ABOUT THE KENYA SRHR ALLIANCE
The Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Alliance, commonly known as the SRHR Alliance, or the Alliance is a national coalition of 17 civil society organizations spread across the country dedicated to promote, advance and protect the sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescent girls and young women, vulnerable and marginalized groups including people living with HIV, persons with disabilities and LGBTIQ community aged 10-24 years in Kenya.
OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
1.The SRHR Alliance is looking for an experienced and dynamic Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (ME&L) officer to lead the ME&L aspect of the SRHR Next Programme.
2.The holder of the position will be responsible for MEAL aspects of programmes within the Alliance, in particular problem identification, data collection, analysis and presentation, learning, and dissemination of results. The individual will work closely with the SRHR Next Program lead, and the SRHR Alliance head of programmes and advocacy based in Nairobi.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
1.Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Public Health, Project Management, or a related field. A master’s is an added advantage.
2.2–5 years of relevant experience in MEAL/PMEL, project implementation, data management, or development programmes. 3.Experience working with relevant government agencies, communities, and youth.
4.Good knowledge and understanding of the adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights environment and HIV/AIDS in the country
5.Excellent analytical and report writing skills
6.Strong facilitation skills.
7.Demonstrated a high level of professionalism. Advanced skills in design, implementation and quality assurance throughout the data collection process and specifically software, such as Kobo Toolbox, ODK, CommCare and others as relevant.
8.Ability to work independently as well as within a team. 9.Experience in communicating and coordinating with a variety of partners
10.Prepared to frequently travel to the project sites in Kenya
