An integrated approach to GEDSI and community engagement across KINETIK’s policy work will be a focus, to promote GEDSI-transformative approaches, promote a locally led approach and build coalitions for sustainability.

Reporting to the Head of Gender Equality, Disability Equity and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Community Engagement and working closely with the Community Engagement Lead in the GEDSI Team, the role provides technical advice, coordination, and implementation support to technical teams and delivery partners to ensure GEDSI, safeguarding, accessibility, community engagement, and locally led development principles are embedded across KINETIK’s sector, thematic priorities, partnerships and operations.
The role supports the delivery of a GEDSI twin-track approach towards sustained impactful change. This includes supporting the design and delivery of targeted initiatives, and supporting the mainstreaming of GEDSI and community engagement across the entire KINETIK Partnership, including for all delivery partners and APS partners. The Manager works collaboratively across KINETIK teams to ensure considerations of gender equality, disability equity, and social inclusion are systematically embedded across policy engagement, partnerships, financing approaches, project preparation, infrastructure delivery, performance management, and operations. The role helps to ensure that people (including women, people with disabilities, and marginalised groups) are more genuinely involved in climate resilient development, including the infrastructure life-cycle and financial markets.
