Project description:
ICMPD is strengthening and consolidating its institutional safeguarding and duty-of-care framework including protection from sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (PSEAH), a complaint and feedback mechanism, data protection for the people it serves, partner due diligence and training into a single, coherent system that applies across all its programmes.
Assignment objective:
To provide interim expertise to operationally lead the consolidation and roll-out of ICMPD's institutional safeguarding system, and to support the transition to a permanent safeguarding function, by 31 December 2026.
Requirements
Education: Advanced university degree in a relevant field (e.g. human rights, protection, social sciences, law, international development), or equivalent professional experience.
Professional experience: Minimum eight (8) years' experience in safeguarding and PSEAH in humanitarian, migration or development contexts, including operationalising a safeguarding / PSEAH framework at institutional level; proven ability to work independently and lead delivery under time pressure.
Specific expertise: Designing complaint and feedback mechanisms and survivor centred response; familiarity with data-protection principles in a beneficiary-data context; partner due diligence; and inter-agency standards (IASC Six Core Principles, Misconduct Disclosure Scheme, Core Humanitarian Standard).
Languages: Excellent command of English; additional languages an asset.
