The Role
The Role
Supporting the Head of GEDSI & MEL, the GEDSI Lead drives the day-to-day implementation of SEAG2G’s GEDSI Strategy and the integration of GEDSI across program activities, agency agreements and work plans. The role provides technical support and capacity advice to agencies and SEAG2G teams, while supporting evidence-based monitoring, learning and reporting to strengthen GEDSI outcomes across the program; working collaboratively across all SEAG2G teams and stakeholders.
About You
About You
· Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. human rights, gender/social studies, or international development) or equivalent relevant work experience.
· Minimum five years of relevant experience in gender, disability and inclusion, preferably in government-to-government programs.
· Experience strengthening GEDSI capabilities within institutions and programs. Experience working with government agencies on GEDSI in Australia and/or Southeast Asia highly desirable.
· Knowledge and understanding of intersectional issues related to GEDSI in Southeast Asia.
· Experience working on international development programs, including demonstrating impact. Experience working with DFAT programs and an understanding of DFAT GEDSI programming highly desirable.
· Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and cross-program collaboration skills, including an ability to work independently and within a dispersed team.
· Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal English language skills.
