About the Role
You will provide administrative and high-level executive assistance to the Director, acting as the first point of contact in their area of responsibility, liaising with internal and external stakeholders in person, by email and by phone. You will provide effective administration of activities and management of the Feminist Centre for Racial Justice. While the role will vary in scope it will include maintaining mechanisms for effective communication, workflows with internal and external collaborators.
About the Department
The Feminist Centre for Racial Justice (hereafter FCRJ) is one of several officially constituted research centres at SOAS, University of London. FCRJ sits in the College of Social Sciences and focuses on the majority world as geographies from which to build feminist imaginaries of “race”. The Centre brings together fields of enquiry that have developed in parallel: feminist theories on power, protests and change, studies of diasporas, critical race theories and migration studies. About you
- High level executive administrative experience, including diary management, minute taking, drafting reports and correspondence.
- Experience of communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all levels and with tact and diplomacy.
- Experience of working within a complex organisation.
- Experience of working on own initiative, within an overall structure; and a positive and proactive approach to problem solving.
