THE POSITION:

GADAus is seeking a Research Officer to support the delivery of high-quality research that advances gender-sensitive approaches to disaster preparedness, response, recovery and resilience. Working closely with the Research and Innovation Manager and the broader team, this role will undertake research, manage research activities, engage stakeholders and translate evidence into practical resources, reports and policy-relevant outputs. The role will contribute to research frameworks, literature reviews, data collection and analysis, evidence synthesis, reporting and dissemination.

THE CANDIDATE:

GADAus is seeking a highly capable researcher with proven experience conducting and managing research projects, ideally in gender and/or disaster contexts. You will bring strong skills in data collection, analysis and interpretation, with the ability to translate complex evidence into accessible reports, briefings, presentations and practical resources.

You will be comfortable engaging with community organisations, government agencies, researchers and other stakeholders, and able to manage multiple projects within agreed timelines and budgets. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a commitment to high-quality research, and a strong alignment with feminist principles and GADAus's vision and goals.
