ABOUT CHOICE
CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality is a professional youth-led organisation that advocates for the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) of young people globally. CHOICE’s vision is that all young people have the power to make decisions about their sexual, reproductive & love lives!
JOB DESCRIPTION – ABOUT THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
This role works with both the Youth Leadership Team and International Advocacy Team at CHOICE and engage in two (or more) CHOICE’s programmes.
Advocacy Advisor
As an Advocacy advisor, you will be working with the International Advocacy Team. You will mainly be contributing to our When Youth Lead programme (WYL). This Programme aims to increase young people’s access to youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services and knowledge, so that all young people can fully realise and enjoy their SRHR and bodily autonomy. When You(th) Lead will be entirely run by young people, implemented from 2026-2029 by CHOICE in partnership with three other youth-led organisations (YLOs) based in Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya.
As an Advocacy advisor you will support the development of the WYL programme’s advocacy strategy co-created with our partners within the programme, and the implementation of that strategy.
Programme Coordinator
As a programme coordinator, you will be working within our Youth Leadership Team. You will be responsible for implementing, overseeing and monitoring the implementation of CHOICE’s programmes. The programme portfolio can vary with programme cycles. At the start of this role, you will lead CHOICE's engagement in the EmpowerED programme, funded by UNFPA, by setting up a Youth Advisory Group. You will also support our SRHR Next Alliance programme, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by helping to mainstream meaningful and inclusive youth participation (MIYP). Once again, the programme portfolio of the selected candidate may change over time
