About the role
We are seeking an experienced part time Events consultant to support the planning, coordination and delivery of high-quality events for the Gender Equality Social Inclusion programme.

The consultant should have extensive experience of organising events and a strong knowledge of actors within the area of gender equality and social inclusion to manage our public and closed-door events up to 20 December 2026 with planning in place for a large event for February 2027. The consultant will also help plan future events which may arise during this time period.

The consultant will work closely with colleagues across communications, research and programme teams to ensure events are strategically planned, well managed and delivered to a high standard. This will include supporting events linked to major external moments, including UNGA, research launches, roundtables, conferences or senior-level convenings.

The role will require strong project management and excellent attention to detail. The consultant should be confident managing event logistics, advising on format and audience engagement, and ensuring events contribute clearly to wider communications and influencing objectives.

Skills and experience
 The consultant should bring:
• Experience of working on gender-focused events with a strong knowledge of the sector and key influences within. Substantial experience planning and delivering high-quality events, ideally including senior-level, policy, public affairs, research, international development or stakeholder engagement events.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and project management skills, with a clear focus on delivery.
• Experience managing complex event logistics across in-person, hybrid and online formats.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders, speakers, partners and internal teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear briefings, agendas and event materials.
• Good judgement, attention to detail and the ability to work at pace across multiple priorities.
• Experience coordinating suppliers, venues, platforms or external partners. • An understanding of how events can support communications, influencing, engagement and organisational strategy.
• Experience with monitoring, evaluation and learning to contribute to impact analysis.
