Gender equality and Social inclusion (GESI)
Position Summary:
The Gender and Social Inclusion Expert will support three evaluation teams in integrating gender and inclusion principles and considerations into the evaluations’ methodologies, tools, analysis, and recommendations. The estimated time period for undertaking this work is August 2023 - February 2024. The anticipated level of effort during this period is approximately 60 days.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Review project documents to understand key components of project implementation and objectives related to gender and inclusion.
  • Take specific responsibility for integrating gender and social inclusion considerations into the different evaluation designs, including the data collection instruments.
  • Work with evaluation team members, as needed, during the data collection process, including participating in interviews and sharing key findings with other team members.
  • Help support the three teams with data analysis and reporting for all gender and inclusion data.
  • Support team with interpreting and integrating the findings related to gender and inclusion.  
  • Prepare clear and concise write ups that effectively communicate evaluation findings and recommendations related to gender and social inclusion.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of presentations on key evaluation findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in dissemination activities to ensure the wider reach and impact of the evaluation results as needed.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
 
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in international development, gender studies, or other related fields required.
  • Minimum five years of experience related to gender and social inclusion required.
  • Experience in evaluations or research, including health program evaluation strongly preferred.
  • Experience with USAID preferred.
