Women with Disabilities Victoria (WDV) is the peak organisation for women with disabilities in Victoria. WDV’s 2025–2029 Strategic Plan envisions a safe and fulfilling life for all women and gender diverse people with disabilities in Victoria. 

 Position Objectives 

The Director of Policy, Advocacy and Community Engagement (PACE) is a Senior Executive at WDV and part of the Leadership Team. The Director of Policy, Advocacy and Community Engagement (PACE) is a trusted advisor to the CEO and WDV Board. 

This position is responsible for providing direct support to the CEO (including acting as required) and is responsible for the delivery of our funded programs and strategic policy priorities, cementing WDV’s reputation for inclusive, collaborative and influential relationships, and advocacy to redress the inequities that limit the lives of women and gender diverse Victorians with disabilities.

 The successful candidate is an experienced and agile Government, Policy, or Not-forProfit Executive who understands the balance between operational excellence and social justice and has a deep commitment to centring and amplifying lived experience. Operating with high autonomy and trust and in collaboration with the Director of Business Operations, the Director of Policy, Advocacy and Community Engagement (PACE) will translate big-picture strategy into actionable plans, and design and implement services and programs and governance to enable sustainable growth and impact for WDV.
