Summary
Founded in 2004, HER Fund is the only women’s fund advancing gender equality in Hong Kong through resource mobilisation and community empowerment. We are embarking on a strategic planning journey and are seeking consultant(s) who share our mission and values to hold the process and collaborate with the Strategic Planning Task Force. We are seeking consultant(s) to develop an actionable strategic plan by creating space for dialogue and reflection with diverse perspectives while bringing relevant expertise, frameworks, knowledge, and practical tools to help us articulate our strategic direction.

Founded in 2004, HER Fund is the only women’s fund advancing gender equality in Hong Kong through resource mobilisation and community empowerment. We are embarking on a strategic planning journey and are seeking consultant(s) who share our mission and values to hold the process and collaborate with the Strategic Planning Task Force. We are seeking consultant(s) to develop an actionable strategic plan by creating space for dialogue and reflection with diverse perspectives while bringing relevant expertise, frameworks, knowledge, and practical tools to help us articulate our strategic direction.
Scope of Work
The final scope of work will be confirmed and refined through ongoing communication and mutual agreement between the Task Force and the selected Consultant(s). Therefore, the proposed scope and deliverables below should be considered a starting point and will be reviewed during the “Inception & Design” stage after the consultancy is confirmed. We welcome adaptations, new ideas, and alternative structures in the proposal as long as they align with the objectives and expected outcomes.
Criteria/ Experiences Required
o Proven track record in developing strategic plan or strategic documents for value-driven non-profit organisations in Hong Kong
o Have an understanding on gender equality or women’s rights in Hong Kong
o Able to adopt intersectionality, power shifting and participatory approach
o Strong communication and synthesis skills to capture conversations and feedback from different stakeholders
o Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
o Adaptive and responsive to feedback and changes in direction when needed
o Fluency in spoken Cantonese and English
o Fluency in written Chinese and English
o Capable of working in both languages.
o Available to facilitate in-person workshops, consultations, and meetings within Hong Kong
