Objective and Purpose of the Assignment
The Gender and Social Inclusion Coordinator will provide more specific support to the GEDSI Advisor in effective implementation of gender components. The support will mainly involve regular coordination and communication with the Project Management Unit (PMU), Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS), Ministry of Women, Youth, Sports and Social Affairs (MWYSSA), Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MFED), development partners and other relevant stakeholders and on-going monitoring and reporting of gender interventions at multiple levels under all outputs.
Scope of Work
1. Assist the PMU in regular coordination with all level of project stakeholders for timely delivery of the planned gender interventions under output 1, 2 and 3;
2. Regular communication and follow-ups with the project team; consultants, contractors and other relevant stakeholders;
3. Support in organizing meetings, trainings, workshops, and consultations;
4. Assist in collection of data and preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports on GAP, impact
studies, knowledge products and documentation of good practices;
5. Excellent communication in English and Kiribati language
6. Working knowledge and skills of MS Office
7. Perform any other assignments/tasks that may assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health, economics, gender and social inclusion
- At-least 3-4 years of experience of working in the role of program/project support in the national level organizations working on social development and gender issues;
- Understanding of gender issues, particularly in the context of Kiribati;
- Proven experience of coordination support to project partners;
- Good understanding of community mobilization approaches;
- Proven experience of working directly with project beneficiaries at the grassroots level;
- At-least 2 years of experience in projects’ monitoring support;
- Good communication and reporting skills.

- Knowledge of local language (Kiribati) is required.
