EDUXO is seeking a strategic, organised, and community-oriented Membership Lead to coordinate and grow its European membership network. This volunteer role plays a key part in strengthening the organisation’s sustainability, governance, and community impact as EDUXO expands across Europe.
Role Purpose
The Membership Lead will oversee the development, engagement, and retention of EDUXO’s membership base, which includes individuals, organisations, schools, universities, and partner groups. The role involves managing membership processes, maintaining communication with members, and ensuring a positive membership experience.
The Membership Lead will collaborate closely with the President, HR, Community Manager, Events, Communications team, and the Board.
Key Responsibilities: Main tasks include:
- Managing membership applications, approvals, renewals, and onboarding processes
- Coordinating all membership systems and maintaining the membership database in compliance with GDPR standards
- Developing strategies to engage and retain members
- Communicating regularly with members through updates, emails, and briefings
- Supporting the organisation of members-only events, webinars, and learning opportunities
- Building relationships with partner organisations, NGOs, schools, and universities
- Working with the Community Manager to welcome and integrate new members
- Coordinating with the Finance team regarding membership fees (if applicable)
- Preparing membership materials such as brochures, guides, and benefits lists
- Producing reports on membership growth and engagement
- Proposing improvements to the membership journey and value offered to members
- Participating in monthly coordination meetings
Membership Types: The Membership Lead will manage several categories, including:
- Individual members (youth, activists, professionals)
- Organisational members (NGOs, foundations, associations)
- Educational partners (schools, universities, youth organisations)
- Supporting and honorary members
- Members eligible for governance roles and voting rights
Requirements EDUXO is looking for someone with:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to engage diverse communities and stakeholders
- Interest in community building and membership management
- A proactive and collaborative mindset
- Basic knowledge of Excel/Sheets and CRM-style organisation tools
- Commitment to feminist, intersectional, and inclusive values
- Fluency in English (Italian or French is a plus)
Experience in membership coordination, partnerships, or community engagement is beneficial but not required.
