LGBTQI+ rights/ SOGIESC
As a video and storytelling communications officer, you'll be part of a four-person communications team. You'll increase çavaria's visibility and impact through video. You'll experiment with form and content, empower people, and share stories that contribute to the rights and well-being of LGBTQI+ people. You'll combine creativity with sensitivity and maintain a keen eye for inclusion, safety, and representation.

You translate themes and experiences into strong and accessible visual stories:
- You create, film and edit videos for social media and for larger projects.
- You develop original and creative content formats and communication campaigns that convince and engage people.
- You interview team members, LGBTQI+ people, experts and partners in a respectful and safe manner.
- You monitor inclusivity and representation in images.
- You make videos accessible (subtitles, visual, ...).
You work in a structured manner and in close coordination with colleagues:
- You coordinate with the communications team about form, content and timing.
- You plan operating moments and ensure efficient use of time and resources.
You are the point of contact for video technology and video archives:
- You ensure quality, overview and accessibility.
- You manage video material, image archives and associated information.
- You contribute to guidelines for style and usage.
What does çavaria do?
Çavaria defends the interests of LGBTQI+ people and is the umbrella organization for approximately 150 LGBTQI+ organizations in Flanders and Brussels. Our team fights for the rights and well-being of the LGBTQI+ community. We do this together with our hundreds of volunteers, the rainbow houses, and our affiliated associations. For those who need a listening ear, there's Lumi, our information and listening line. For those who want to contribute to an inclusive society, we offer tailored advice and training. In this way, we all work towards a society where you can be yourself.
