Kvinna till Kvinna is looking for a Consortium Coordinator based in Brussels.

The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation has defended women’s rights since 1993. For every woman’s right to be safe and to be heard. Today we are one of the world’s leading women’s rights organisations, working directly in areas affected by war and conflict to strengthen women’s influence and power. We work closely together with over 150 local partner organisations across 20 countries.

Kvinna till Kvinna will form a consortium together with the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN), CMI Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation and Conciliation Resources (CR) to implement a global Women Peace and Security (WPS) Programme. This programme is part of a strategic partnership with the EU Foreign Policy Instrument (FPI).

As the Consortium Coordinator, based in Brussels, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the programme, coordinate and support the consortium, represent the programme with the EU and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities 

Strategic programme management

  • Ensuring effective implementation in line with the approved proposal, donor rules and regulations.
  • Coordinating consortium members and country teams, including operational and financial planning, budget monitoring and high-quality donor reporting.
  • Establishing clear results frameworks, outputs, milestones and monitoring systems aligned with  requirements.

Policy, advocacy and representation

  • Leading the development and coordination of the consortium’s advocacy, communication and visibility strategy.
  • Leading engagement with the EU on women, peace and security, shrinking civic space and human security, including relevant geographical areas.
  • Representing the consortium and Kvinna till Kvinna in Brussels and in relevant NGO networks, and supporting partners in advocacy engagement with EU institutions.

Consortium coordination and oversight

  • Managing effective consortium coordination, and steering mechanisms.
  • Ensuring financial oversight in collaboration with finance and grants teams and troubleshooting implementation challenges with partners.
  • Ensuring compliance with security procedures and organisational policies.

Qualifications

  • Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of proven experience in successfully managing and implementing projects or programmes.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of project cycle management, including PMEL, reporting and financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of women’s human rights, peacebuilding and feminist movement building, demonstrated through a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven track record of engaging with the EU and other international bodies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and coordination  skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Merits

  • Experience in women’s rights programme management including finance, consortium and partnership coordination; fluency in Arabic and/or French.
