Position Summary:
Right Side HRD NGO is seeking a creative and proactive Communications Officer (Part-Time) to lead the organization’s content creation, media campaigns, online engagement, and public visibility. The officer will work closely with the Fundraising Officer to design and implement fundraising campaigns and online donation initiatives, ensuring visibility and impact for the rights and empowerment of the Transgender LGBIQ+ community in Armenia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce high-quality content (articles, social media posts, reels and videos, infographics) to showcase Right Side HRD NGO’s programs, advocacy, and impact.
  • Manage the organization’s website and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, LinkedIn) and implement creative campaigns to engage audiences and increase visibility.
  • Maintain contacts with each department within the organization to gather information, coordinate content, and ensure consistent messaging for communications, media campaigns, advocacy and fundraising initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Fundraising Officer to design fundraising campaigns, online donation initiatives, and donor engagement strategies, ensuring messaging is compelling and consistent.
  • Utilize communication and design tools to create engaging multimedia content.
  • Ensure content reflects the experiences and perspectives of Transgender LGBIQ+ communities with accuracy, respect, and inclusivity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets to promote accurate, positive, and inclusive narratives that improve public perception of Transgender LGBIQ+ communities.
  • Track media coverage, digital engagement, and campaign performance; provide regular reports with recommendations.
  • Ensure all communications are consistent with organizational values, guidelines, and inclusive practices.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in communications, social media management, or content creation, ideally in human rights organizations.
  • Proficiency in communication and design tools.
  • Proven experience in digital content creation, storytelling, and social media campaigns.
  • Experience in supporting fundraising campaigns and online donor engagement is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Transgender LGBIQ+ issues, human rights, and inclusive communication practices.
  • Creative, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and multimedia skills.
  • Proficiency in Armenian and English; Russian is an asset.
