 Job Purpose 
To develop and deliver credible and influential research, policy and advocacy strategies and activities as part of our youth-centred Influencing strategy to deliver change for and with girls in the UK. The role will build and manage influential relationships across the UK Government and other partners, develop policy positions, and design and deliver research using a range of methods to produce insights and evidence related to issues for UK girls. 

 Essential Criteria 
Experience of leading and delivering policy and advocacy strategies within a charity or similar organisation that resulted in successfully influencing public policy Experience of successfully influencing government policy and guidance, and building and managing influential relationships with governmental and political stakeholders, with a sound understanding of the UK Government and policy processes; 
Proven ability to produce robust, evidence-based and influential policy positions, based on sound understanding and analysis of evidence from a range of sources, youth perspectives, the UK policy and political context, and grounded in intersectional gender analysis and relevant rights frameworks
 Significant experience of designing and delivering research that provides credible evidence and recommendations to support delivery of influencing strategies, including practical experience of a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods 
Ability to build and manage productive partnerships with a range of stakeholders for research, policy development and advocacy purposes 
Ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders, both orally and in writing, including the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts in simple and engaqing ways suiting each audience 
Experience of meaningfully engaging young people in policy, advocacy and research with an understanding of the considerations involved including management of safeguarding 
Sound understanding of issues and barriers facing girls in the UK in all their diversity with an excellent understanding of the UK social and policy context for adolescent girls 
Ability to think strategically and apply strategic analysis to day to day and longer-term decisions regarding policy and advocacy work
