Ladysmith seeks a Philippines-based national consultant to partner with on a comprehensive analysis of the economic drivers of adolescent pregnancy and child, early, and forced marriage and unions (CEFMU) in the Philippines, with the goal of enhancing the design and implementation of social protection programs to more effectively address these challenges. This study is led the brilliant Maria Klara Kuss and Erin Fletcher ๐ก๐ค
The consultant should be based in the Philippines and have strong technical skills in micro-simulation and cost-benefit analysis, be proficient in English and Tagalog, and available through June 2026 for remote and in-person activities. The expected number of days for this assignment is 28 working days.ย
The consultant will deliver on the following two activities, in conjunction with the Ladysmith team:
1. A microsimulation and cost-benefit estimation will be conducted to forecast the impacts and fiscal requirements of these proposed interventions under distinct policy environments, enabling policymakers to make informed decisions based on projected effectiveness and budgetary feasibility.ย
2. Validation workshops, capacity-building training for national staff, and high-level engagements to secure government buy-in, translate evidence into tangible policy and programmatic action, raise awareness, and support strategic dissemination of findings.
