Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF) is a non-profit network dedicated to a gender-just and healthy planet for all. Our international network brings together over 250 women’s and civil society organisations across 70 countries.
We believe a sustainable and equitable future requires feminist solutions driven by communities at the frontlines of today’s intersecting crises. That is why we work on transformative gender equality, women’s rights, climate justice, and sustainable development.
We are now looking for a Junior Project Officer to join our team and support the implementation of our international programmes under the Women Power 2030 project.
The Junior Project Officer supports the Programme Manager in coordinating project activities, managing subgrants, contributing to advocacy efforts, and ensuring smooth administrative and operational processes. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and committed to advancing gender equality and climate justice.
Project Coordination Support
- Support the Programme Manager with coordinating activities, tracking timelines, and monitoring progress across various WP2030 initiatives.
- Assist the Directors with coordination, reporting, follow-up, and project visibility for the successful implementation of the program.
Grant Management Assistance
- Assist with administering financial sub-grants, ensuring accuracy and transparency in fund allocation, and timely donor reporting.
Communication and Outreach
- Work with the communications team to enhance project visibility, support awareness campaigns, draft social media content, and engage with partners and stakeholders.
Policy Advocacy & Research Support
- Contribute to policy research, drafting advocacy materials, and compiling resources.
- Assist in organising events that promote ecofeminist values and climate justice.
Capacity Building Support
- Help coordinate workshops and capacity-building sessions for civil society and youth groups, including logistics and preparation of training materials.
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Track and document project outcomes, collect data for impact analysis, and assist in producing monitoring and evaluation reports.
Administrative & Financial Support
- Provide administrative support for budgeting and financial tracking.
- Coordinate with finance staff and assist in preparing financial reports.
Additional Responsibilities
- Arrange meetings, take minutes, and maintain project documentation.
- Support fundraising efforts, including drafting proposals and supporting donor engagement.
- Assist with travel, event, and workshop logistics as needed.
- You are based in the Netherlands
- Master and/or a Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, social sciences, development studies, gender studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project assistance, preferably in climate action, gender equality, or social justice sectors.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills; detail-oriented and reliable.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional languages (Dutch, French, Spanish) are an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with online collaboration or project management tools is a plus.
- Commitment to WECF’s mission and strong interest in feminist and climate justice principles.
