MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following is a general outline of duties and responsibilities for this role. It is not an exhaustive list, and additional duties may be assigned or removed at the discretion of the Director, Securing Digital Rights to meet organizational needs and priorities
 Purpose: Apply Foundational Knowledge
  • Provide legal analysis and expertise on digital rights frameworks, with a preference for EU law experience.
  • Contribute to legal case development and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit legal documentation to international and regional human rights bodies.
  • Draft key communications, advocacy letters, and messaging to influence policymakers and institutions.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to leverage regional and international law for strategic advocacy.
  • Contribute to the successful achievement of campaign outcomes aligned with the Theory of Change (ToC).
Engagement: Knowledge Building & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Digital Rights Team  and Impact Team to track, document, and share learning across interventions.
  • Develop thought leadership around core areas of work, collaborating with the AUDRi Coordinator and Communications Team.
  • Support context mapping and stakeholder analysis for the digital rights space in collaboration with the  Director, Securing Digital Rights and the Manager, AUDRi 
  • Strengthen relationships with allies, civil society organizations, and key influencers at local, national, and international levels.
  • Contribute to the development of clear and accountable partnerships aligned with our shared advocacy goals.
Delivery: Operational Awareness & Action
  • Manage assigned grant deliverables, ensuring timely, high-quality outputs within scope and budget.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the program database for assigned interventions.
  • Ensure internal campaign updates, documentation, and reporting are completed and shared in a timely manner.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  
  • Law degree or Master’s degree in gender/women’s rights, international law/human rights law, or related field (digital rights or technology law) 
  • 6+ years of experience advancing women’s rights, human rights, or gender-based violence (GBV) advocacy, with demonstrated expertise in technology-facilitated GBV and the legal, social, and policy strategies used to address online harms.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff or consultants, with a track record of mentoring, coaching, and delegating effectively to support team development and accountability.
  • Deep knowledge of digital rights law and policy, with emphasis on technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), online sexual exploitation and abuse (OSEA), and harmful digital practices. Strong grounding in gender justice, with expertise in systemic barriers and survivor-centered remedies in digital spaces.
  • Applied expertise in intersectional feminist frameworks for advocacy, digital rights movement-building, and rights-based programming.
  • Experience engaging directly with women and girls affected by online harms, including those from marginalized or underrepresented communities.
  • Professional fluency in English required;
