Purpose of the role
The EEDI and Culture Manager plays a pivotal role in embedding equity, equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation, ensuring all employees feel supported to thrive. The postholder will help embed an inclusive and equitable culture that reflects the Party’s values, ensuring that our EEDI work grows organically from our people and practices, rather than being tokenistic or compliance driven. They will also lead on developing and delivering an engaging learning and development offer aligned to Party values and strategic priorities.
This role will be the Green Party’s lead expert and internal advisor on equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion (EEDI), driving continual improvement by developing and evaluating EEDI initiatives, delivering training and learning opportunities, and helping embed EEDI and wellbeing into all aspects of the Party’s operations. Working closely with the Head of Governance & People, and other stakeholders including key Committees, the EEDI and Culture Manager supports a more representative and resilient Party. While the initial focus will be on embedding culture change within the staff team, the post holder will also be laying the groundwork for member-facing activity. Timelines for both elements of the role will be agreed and progress monitored to ensure balanced delivery.
Recent experience and Education
CIPD, other L&D qualification or relevant equivalent experience
Application Significant experience of working in an L&D/EDI role, advising managers on people management, change management and workforce engagement including consultation
Interview Experience leading EDI strategy and/or delivering impactful initiatives
Application /Interview Experience designing and delivering learning and development programmes
Experience of providing high quality advice to leaders, managers, staff
Application /Interview Experience of working in environments with complex stakeholder, political or employee relations dynamics.
Interview Experience of collecting, interpreting, reporting and acting on EDI-related data.
Strong facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to deliver training and influence at all levels.
