Duties and Responsibilities

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Support quarterly reporting meetings across teams including setting up meetings, preparing spreadsheets, tasking team mates, compiling data and tracking progress against workplan deliverables
  • Contribute to preparing reports to funders including drafting narrative reports, compiling data, and filling in activity and results tables
  • Support in-person and virtual meetings with funders including drafting agendas, taking meeting minutes and tracking action items 
  • Support appropriate record retention and filing of key project data and information
Policy Development

  • Contribute to the review, research and development of internal policies, in conjunction with relevant staff
  • Contribute to enhanced CanWaCH operational efficiency by undertaking research on best practices and supporting the translation of policy into procedure
Board and Committee Meetings

  • Support scheduling of Board of Director and related committee meetings including drafting doodle polls and gathering research and quotes on venues,  hotels  and catering options
  • Ensure that minutes of meetings are efficiently and effectively recorded, and are available in a timely manner
  • Assist with coordination of Board orientations including updating orientation materials, December board gathering, Board workshops and trainings, and Board buddies
Team Operations Support

  • Support coordinating in-person team meetings including gathering research and quotes on locations and catering, drafting agendas, preparing and printing meeting packages and materials 
  • Support the coordination of cross-team communication, including help with CanWaCH’s shared Google Drive and shared online office platform
  • Help coordinate team lunch and learns, workshops, and trainings
General Support 

  • Support coordination and delivery of virtual and in-person events, as required 
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO, senior management team and board, as required
Skills/ Abilities

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in international development, public health, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience at a professional level in international development administration, finance or administrative services.
  • Bilingualism in French and English preferred.
  • Advanced research and writing skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency in: Microsoft Office, Google Drive.
  • Ability to prioritize work with competing deadlines.
  • Advanced customer service, interpersonal, and communications skills.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to update knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience in international development and non-profit organizations 
  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
