About the Assignment

SIHA seeks a qualified consultant to design and facilitate a three-day Financial Management Capacity Building Workshop under the Solidarity in Action project, implemented with support from UN Women ACT. 

The training will target 30 women-led organizations and SIHA members from Central, Northern, Eastern, and West Nile regions of Uganda, focusing on strengthening financial governance, sustainability, transparency, and strategic financial planning. 

Key Tasks and Deliverables 

  • Design and facilitate a three-day participatory financial management training. 
  • Develop pre/post-training evaluation tools and customized learning materials. 
  • Produce a training report summarizing outcomes, lessons, and recommendations. 
Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial and grant management of donor-funded projects. 
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (Master’s degree is an added advantage). 
  • Professional certification (CPA/ACCA) is an added advantage. 
  • Proven experience in facilitating trainings for civil society or women’s rights organizations. 
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills. 
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Lugbarati is an asset. 
Assignment Details 

  • Location: Kampala, Uganda 
  • Duration: 14 days (including preparation, training, and report writing) 
  • Budget range: UGX 4,000,000 – 5,000,000 (inclusive of taxes)
