Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for designing and delivering a 3-day National Department of Health (NDoH) accredited Trainer of Trainers (ToT) program focused on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI).
Key responsibilities include:
Design a culturally appropriate and context-specific training curriculum reflecting PNG realities.
Use local case studies and examples relevant to PNG communities.
Align the training with national policies and frameworks such as the PNG National Strategy to Prevent and Respond to GBV and the National Disability Policy.
Deliver the 3-day training using interactive and participatory adult learning methods.
Ensure training is accessible to participants of varying educational and professional backgrounds.
Focus on building facilitation and cascade-training skills.
Cover key topics: understanding SGBV, survivor-centered approaches, referral pathways, and GEDSI principles.
Develop and share a complete training package (facilitator guides, participant manuals, presentations, evaluation tools).
Conduct pre- and post-training self-assessments and collect participant feedback.
Submit a final report summarizing outcomes, evaluation results, and recommendations.
Work closely with the MSPNG GEDSI Mentor and relevant staff to ensure quality and alignment.
Deliverables
Detailed training agenda and methodology.
Accredited training materials and resources.
Completion of the 3-day ToT workshop.
Final report with participant feedback and evaluation.
Handover of all training materials to MSPNG.
Job Requirements:
Accredited National Trainer of Trainers in SGBV and GEDSI.
Experience working with the National Department of Health and the Gender Desk.
Proven facilitation and adult learning expertise.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver inclusive training programs in PNG or similar contexts.
Familiarity with national and international frameworks on gender equality, disability inclusion, and SGBV.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality training materials and reports.
