ABOUT IWDA
International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA) is an Australian-based organisation, resourcing diverse women’s rights organisations (WROs) primarily in the Asia and the Pacific, and contributing to global feminist movements to advance our vision of gender equality for all.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We have two Program Coordinator roles:
The Program Coordinator, We Rise is responsible for supporting the We Rise phase 4 program implemented by the We Rise Coalition.
The We Rise Coalition is made up of six feminist organisations from within the Pacific region who implement the We Rise 3 program: FemLINKpacific (Fiji); Fiji Women’s Rights Movement; Brown Girl Woke (Samoa); Sista (Vanuatu); Voice for Change (PNG) and IWDA. The program aims to see diverse Pacific women’s voice and agency contributing to transformative change through a vibrant and resilient feminist movement. The program has a distinct focus on coalition and organisational strengthening, movement building, advocacy, and structural and institutional change. As the grant holder, IWDA is a coalition member and ally. We Rise is now in its fourth phase and is funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) through the Pacific Women Lead program.
The Program Coordinator, PNG is responsible for supporting Women Leading Change in the Highlands (WLCiH), a three-year program implemented by IWDA in partnership with Voice for Change (VfC), a women’s rights organisation based in Jiwaka Province, Papua New Guinea. The program is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and managed by Abt Associates, with an implementation period of 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2027 and a budget of AUD $2.5 million.
The Program Coordinator roles are responsible for supporting day-to-day management of the programs to enable the team to deliver the program effectively. This includes contract and financial administration; financial and narrative reporting; data collection and analysis; project administration; information management; logistics support; maintaining a mutually respectful partnership by providing tailored support; and supporting compliance, safeguarding, risk management and inclusion.
Aligned with IWDA’s Strategic Plan, the role fosters collaborative and supportive partnerships, strengthening partners’ long-term sustainability and ensuring that women’s rights organisations across the Pacific have the resources and support needed to drive lasting change.
