ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other related duties may be assigned):

Financial Management:
● Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support financial sustainability and risk mitigation
● Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax filings, and internal financial controls.
● Review and approve financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize resource utilization.
● Manage cash flow, financial risk, and grant compliance in coordination with the finance team.
● Oversee financial reporting, including quarterly financial statements to the board and engagement with the Board Treasurer.
● Oversee completion of annual audits, 501(c)(3) compliance, and state/federal reporting obligations.
● Ensure grant financial reporting is timely submitted
Compliance and Governance:
● Ensure the organization adheres to all legal, regulatory, and operational compliance framework requirements. Manage WGH 501(c)(3) compliance calendar at federal and state levels, including global processes that ensure operational ease and best-practice internal processes.
● Develop and maintain internal governance policies, including HR, finance, and operational policies.
● Oversee organizational risk management, maintaining and updating the risk register.
 ● Liaise with legal counsel on governance matters, contracts, and compliance.
● Facilitate reviews of WGH bylaws and governance structures to align with strategic objectives.
 Human Resources Management: 
● Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes for staff and contractors to promote fairness and transparency. 
● Oversee HR systems and software (e.g., Deel, JazzHR) and ensure streamlined HR operations. 
● Oversee comprehensive review of HR systems and policies, refining them as needed to align with organizational goals 

LEADERSHIP TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES: 
● Take action to learn, teach and support the organization’s core values, policies, business practices and programs. 
● Under the guidance of the Executive Director, perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; assessing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
● Engage in collaborative and collective empowerment with the Leadership Team to develop and implement strategies, operational plans and budgets that align with WGH’s mission and goals; promote teamwork, co-creation and shared decision-making processes. 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 
Experience working in a remote, international, or multicultural environment preferred. 
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in nonprofit operations, finance, administration, or HR, with at least 3 years in a senior management or leadership role. 
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline preferred (e.g., MBA, MPA, MPH, MS in HR or Organizational Leadership). 
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field required.
