About Us:

Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting is the world’s only movement for every girl and any girl because we believe that each of them deserves to be the best they can be. Girl Guides and Girl Scouts learn by doing, making friends and having fun. In brave, local spaces, girls develop the skills and attitudes to change themselves, their communities and our world. The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts supports 153 national Girl Guide and Girl Scout organisations around the world to be united, thriving and growing.

About the Role:

This role includes the effective planning and delivery of a programme of capacity building activities, both related to safeguarding and other aspects of quality Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting. This will include coordinating tailored support projects for national organisations, global and regional webinars and online workshops, and supporting teams to design new training materials and supporting tools.  It will also be responsible for recruitment, retention and support of the safeguarding specialist volunteer team at WAGGGS, ensuring the team is sustainable.

About You:

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and collaborative individual to coordinate the scale-up of a global safeguarding capacity-building project. The project aims to reach 80% of our national organisations by 2028. The postholder will provide high-quality operational support to a team of safeguarding specialists (both staff and volunteers), ensuring the team’s activities align to WAGGGS’s strategy, respond to local and regional needs, and are delivered smoothly, on time and in budget.
