Job Summary

The Movement Strengthening and Networking Officer, will lead the development of a Global Movement Strengthening Strategy (2025–2029) under the Kaleidoscope Initiative, ensuring alignment across regions and contributing to stronger, intersectional SRHR movements with safe abortion at the center. The role combines strategic visioning with hands-on engagement-facilitating participatory processes, building alliances, mobilizing resources, and ensuring the Movement Strengthening Strategy translates into tangible, measurable outcomes. The officer will be working closely with the Executive Director, Regional Director, Project Co-ordinator and the co-leads of the MS Strategy to develop the strategy that will be adopted by partners globally across the consortium and across countries with an aim to strengthen movements and systems for increased access to safe abortion. The strategy aims to catalyse collaboration and amplify feminist, youth-led, and grassroots voices within the SRHR ecosystem, centering safe abortion as a critical issue of rights and justice. The Officer shall also lead WGNRR networking efforts across all geographies and demographics, and will be responsible for cultivating new donors and fundraising activities.

The Officer will be essential to WGNRR’s movement-building work, and will develop key strategic partnerships for strengthening feminist movements in the global south, and foster partnerships across feminist organisations.
