About Us
Our Impact 58 24 122 The Women’s Budget Group (WBG) is changing how we think about the economy—by putting gender, care, and equality at its heart. We lead and influence policy debates and build the capacity of women’s organisations and other equality groups to advocate for themselves.

About the Role
We’re looking for a visionary new Executive Director to lead this work at a critical time for feminist economic change. This is a leadership role for a strategic, values-driven communicator with a deep engagement with our work, who thrives at the intersection of research, politics, and activism and is ready to shift how the economy works—and for whom.

As Executive Director, you will lead WBG into its next chapter - shaping strategy and using your knowledge of feminist economic principles to drive real-world change. You’ll lead your team of subject experts to amplify our influence across politics and civil society.

You’ll represent WBG at the highest levels while staying rooted in our feminist values of justice, care, and equity.

You’ll ensure we continue to drive measurable change in how women’s equality is embedded in economic policymaking, funding, and public discourse, shifting dominant narratives and bringing feminist economic thinking into the mainstream. You’ll lead WBG to deliver not just high-quality outputs, but measurable impact—demonstrating how our work contributes to narrative shifts, policy uptake, institutional reform, and redistribution of power.
