Organizational Context
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, with a network of 191-member National Societies (NSs). Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring regional PGI projects, including children affected in Armed Conflict (CAAC) initiatives in Uganda, Nigeria, Gambia, Chad, CAR, and Sudan.
- Support documentation, reporting, and knowledge-sharing across National Societies and partners.
- Contribute to the development of visibility and learning materials (e.g., case studies, human interest stories, tools).
- Assist in organizing virtual and in-person trainings, consultations, and meetings.
- Maintain PGI project data and support analysis of reports from National Societies.
- Contribute to PGI-related events, safeguarding initiatives.

- Work actively towards the achievement of the IFRC’s goals.
- Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross and Red Crescent principles.
- Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s in international relations, Gender Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, Social Work, or a related field. Required.
Experience
- Demonstrated interest in protection, gender, child rights, or humanitarian programming. Required.
- Understanding on humanitarian operations, including with gender, protection, safeguarding or related specialized knowledge. Preferred.
- Experience in data management, documentation and reporting. Required.
- Experience in community Engagement. Preferred.
- Experience in working on child programming. Required.
Knowledge, Skills and Languages
- Knowledge of Red Cross Red Crescent Movement. Required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and trusted relationship-builder, fostering collaboration and coherence across diverse stakeholders. Required.
- Values-driven, principled action. Required.
- Organized, autonomous, and decisive under pressure, demonstrating resilience in high-stress environments. Required.
