OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Amplify Her® Foundation is seeking an experienced, freelance public relations consultant with a proven track record in nonprofit storytelling, a strong NYC media network, and a passion for gender equity to support our Fall communications, elevating our mission and amplifying the voices of women and girls in leadership.
Ideal Candidate

Available to begin a short-term, freelance contract, for an initial trial period of 1-3 months with a possibility of extending to a longer-term engagement based on performance and organizational needs.

Strong familiarity with regional and hyperlocal media outlets, NYC-based philanthropy networks, nonprofit coalitions, and the local policy and advocacy landscape.

Proven ability to secure earned media coverage in top-tier, local, and trade outlets.

Strong portfolio of successful media placements, narrative campaigns, or press activations.

Preference for candidates based in New York City or within commuting distance of New York City.
Responsibilities

Position the Foundation as a leading voice advancing women and girls in leadership and expand the Foundation’s reach and influence among key audiences and stakeholders.

Lead PR efforts, including press releases and media advisories, for Amplify Her® Foundation’s October announcements including: GlassBreaker Celebration, 2025 Grant Announcement and Incubator Pilot.
